In spite of their mutual dislike, Paps and Princess soon discover they desperately need one another if they are to pull out from a rapidly deteriorating series of events ignited by Paps's master plan.

- Nighttime at the Station is a poetry film which was inspired by the work of one of Malta's leading poets, Oliver Friggieri. In his poem 'Il-Lejl f'Dan l-Istazzjon' he depicts a voyager arriving late at the station and watching the last train fade into blackness. Mallia uses this narrative to build on a metaphoric level, and explores the themes of childhood, nostalgia and meaning.

The Lordling rents out the rest of the apartments to a colourful assortment of unsuspecting tenants drawn from all walks of life. Through a series of predicaments where one crisis follows another, the viewer watches the story of the two parties, the dead and the living, through their troubles, their love affairs and the perennial struggle to somehow coexist.
