Desperate to make his mark on the world, Rodney decides to leave for Hong Kong - a great plan, if only he'd remembered his passport.

Cassandra is rushed to hospital but she miscarries and, whilst comforting Rodney, Del bursts into tears.
- Shelley has a bit of a rude awakening in the morning - he's somehow pulled his back during the night! After a visit to the library, and finally the doctor, he's still none the wiser as to the cause of his ailment. It seems that being a layabout isn't any guarantee from immunity to his perceived scourge of the working man...
- Strapped for cash as ever, Del is clearing Grandad's allotment, which has become a health hazard and where he finds some bottles of yellow liquid, which he dumps. He also finds a tap, hidden by rocks, but claims that there is an actual spring, yielding 'Peckham Spring Water'. Using a bottle of mineral water for the lab test he gets the water accepted and sold to a supermarket chain. Unfortunately he is unaware that it has been contaminated by the same yellow liquid he chucked in the reservoir and, as he turns out the light, the water starts to glow green.
- Mrs H comes over to babysit Emma, allowing Shelley and Fran a rare night out together at the cinema. The film doesn't quite live up to their expectations, so they retire to the pub - the only problem is, their funds are in short supply, and the topic of conversation soon turns to armageddon!
- Shelley is all alone in his eighth-floor flat on a Sunday afternoon and feeling bored - and going a bit stir crazy. He thinks he can hear a strange noise in his living room - which gives him a good excuse to get Desmond up to investigate... and at least have someone to talk to!
