- At the campus Diana Thyssen is raped in the toilets. They get stuck with the investigations and Inspector Donckers thinks her old Professor in Criminology might help. She has a friend, Saskia Devriese, who was raped on a campus ten years ago. She thinks both cases have the same perpetrator. But can she persuade Professor Teerlinck to help her, because he's not especially social, says what he thinks and defends opinions which go against public opinions?
- The head librarian of the university is poisoned at a reception. The wrong person might have been killed. The police start to think that the real target is a civil servant who forged an environmental report who also was present at the reception. Due to the forged report, the daughter of a young family is very sick in hospital. The father might have something to do with the death of the librarian.
- Yolande De Letter, the inspector of a school-evaluation team, is murdered at home. At first it looks like a robbery gone wrong, but Annelies Donckers thinks there is more to it. Jasper and she discover that director Herman Symens of the school Sint Lutgardis who was inspected might have a motive. The school was on the brink of getting a bad report. But also her husband Marc is a possible perpetrator. They were heading for a divorce and financially he would have suffered a lot.
- Davy Desmedt, a first year law student, has disappeared without a trace. It could be an act of despair, but they soon find out there is more to it. He is from simple origin, but he has a lot of money in the bank.
- Hendrik Marsboom, an acknowledged plastic surgeon, is found murdered in a hotel room. De woman who shared his room has disappeared. When they finally find her, the police think her jealous husband might know more about the whole thing.
- A call-girl is found dead in her apartment. It looks like she hanged herself, but the police soon discover the suicide is staged. Jasper is very touched when the call-girl appears to be Tamara.
- The gruesome murder on Peter Catrysse and his wife appears to be an exact copy of a murder ten years ago. Dany Van Genechten, the perpetrator of that murder is still behind bars.
- Antwerp is startled by a brutal double murder. During the evening rush hour a known coke dealer and his lover are shot down by a masked perpetrator. The police think it's a pay-off.
- Au pair Silke Banier comes home after an evening off. She finds her employer, Max Tersago, unconscious in the living room. Six year old son Koben has vanished. The investigation leads the police to Max's business partner Willem Denys.
- Dirk Seynaeve is accused of having killed his employer after being caught at the scene, holding the murder weapon. He denies being guilty, but the case goes to trial anyway. Professor T. however is convinced the man is innocent.
- There is a hit on prominent businessman Johan Verhulst during an official happening. The shooter fails. A few days later a lot of blood is discovered in his upside down turned living-room, but there is no body. Verhulst has disappeared. Jasper deducts everything is staged by Verhulst himself, but then he is found dead after all.
- A man is found strangled with a scorched face. The number 1991 is cut into his chest. When 24 hours later a second victim is found, also with a year cut into his body, the investigators realize they're dealing with a serial killer.
- Daan is in hospital fighting for his life after the killer shot at him. In the mean time the police try to find connections between the victims, because they have no idea about the killer.
- Psychiatrist Gijselbrecht doesn't think Professor T. is ready yet, but he leaves the institution after six months anyway. Gijselbrecht insists he will keep doing regular sessions with her. Inspector Daan De Winter starts working again after his recuperation. He soon experiences doing police work from a wheelchair, isn't easy. The fact Annelis Donckers feeling guilty for what happened to him, doesn't help. On top of that, they have to investigate a number of strange deaths, which on first sight don't seem to have a link between them.
- A student flat is set fire to. Student Ines is burned and it's life threatening. Professor T. is asked to help with the investigations. In the mean time he struggles with an assignment from doctor Gijselbrecht. He has to take public transport on his own. The relation between Annelies and Daan is under pressure. Also Rabet has his problems. His son in law Jurgen, who came back from India, demands custody of Rabet's granddaughter.
- Since Professor T. has been suspended, his lectures are given by Professor Vanderweyden. He will also assist Jasper in solving a tragic family drama, where an eminent oncologist has been killed. Annelies discovers that her father, when he was still clear of mind, wrote an euthanasia application. Rabet tries to change the mind of his son-in-law. Daan takes a decision which has big consequences.
- By hits on SUV's, pamphlets are spread. They're done after a model of an anarchistic student group from the 80's. To everybody's surprise, Jasper was a member of that group. Doctor Gijselbrecht tells Jasper to invite Christina Flamant for diner. He rehearses this with Ingrid Sneyers to be fully prepared. Inspector John Van Humbeeck is Annelies's new partner. To Annelies it's far too early to forget Daan and everyone will know that.
- Two doctors are murdered in a similar way. The police fear there will be more victims. It's a race against time to find a connection between the two cases. Jasper is relieved his suspension is finally at an end. Annelies still misses Daan and it's getting harder to take care of her father. Paul loses custody of his granddaughter and loses control.
- A jeweler is run down in the street when he crosses in a hurry. In his bag he has a collection of very valuable diamonds. The police suspect there is more to it and visit his family. After a painful accident in a public swimming pool, another of Doctor Gijselbrecht's tasks, Jasper ends up in hospital. Annelies can't see another way and admits her father to a clinic. After Rabet is suspended, Flamant takes over his duties.
- A 17-year-old girl with Down Syndrome claims she knows who murdered her mother, but she doesn't want to say who it is; Professor T fears Flamant is making unwanted advances.
- The team investigate a strange traffic accident. The victim is found dead more than 100 meters from her car. Jasper has to split his attention between the case and a very strange question from his psychiatrist. He has to make a list of qualities about his mother. John sees Annelies is not all right. The quality of her father's life rapidly goes downhill. She has a lot of problems with that.
- The Universtiy of Antwerp organizes the yearly congress of criminologists. To Jasper's bewilderment he's only the second speaker and he won't open the congress. When the first speaker gets killed, all eyes are fixed on the professor. Christina finds new joy in her life after her divorce. She introduces her new boyfriend, a colleague from the drug squad. Annelies confesses to John she burnt her father's living will.
- During a lecture at the university, Jasper discusses a case he helped with. The witness of a murder twelve years ago is now himself murdered. The son of the convicted murderer is prime suspect. In the mean time Jasper is worried about Christina and her new boyfriend Serge. Jasper doesn't trust him. Helena thinks this is very significant. Annelies has to make the most difficult decision of her life.
- A Catholic schoolgirl is found to have been murdered after her body is discovered in her dorm room.
- An undercover agent who has infiltrated in the drug scene is found dead in the boot of his car. The target of the investigation is drug lord Mark Desmedt. Jasper is acting even stranger than normal. Everyones knows the reason. It's his birthday and he hates birthdays. It's a special day for Annelies too. She tells Christina she wants to quit her job. She wants to do something different with her life.
- The team is closing in on drug lord Mark Desmedt, John discovers that Chief Inspector Rabet and Desmedt are working together. Professor T. has asked Annelies to assist him with his research in determining the exact profile of a murderer. He wants to find out whether Flamant will be capable of murder when she finds out that her new boyfriend is not what he appears to be.
- After having shot a police inspector in cold blood, Professor T. is sent to prison.
