Popular poet, novelist and lecturer whose works often dealt with the beauty and culture of Hawaii and the South Seas. During his early life, Blanding worked at a variety of jobs throughout the world, gaining many experiences reflected in his writings. This background and his later restless travels led to his being dubbed "The Vagabond Poet".- Soundtrack
Composer ("Princeton Forever"), author and businessman, educated at Princeton University (BA). He worked in the securities business between 1908 and 1957. Joining ASCAP in 1942, his other popular-song compositions included "Crash On, Artillery", "The Princeton Cannon Song", "Wings of Gold", and "The Living God" (anthem).
