Born in Rio Cuarto, Argentina, in the summer of 1977, Dan's immediate family immigrated to the United States in 1980. Sacrificing everything they had built for themselves in their own country, Dan's parents wanted their four children to have access to the wealth of opportunities available in the United States. In 1995, at the age of 17, Dan produced the world's first all-teenage-made feature film, Common Bonds (1997), which premiered at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival. Described as "monumental achievement [and] an inspiration to young filmmakers everywhere" by the prestigious film festival. Dan and his team of teen prodigies were featured in a blitz of media coverage ranging from a three-part series by Entertainment Tonight, and a cover of the Los Angeles Daily News, to feature stories by CNN, ABC, PBS, Turner Entertainment, the Los Angeles Times, and others. The film was sold to Denver-based Encore Media, and had its television debut across markets in Asia and the United States on Encore's WAM Network in the fall of 1997. Dan then wrote and produced a 23-minute directorial debut short film, Anything Once (1998), which premiered at OUTFEST 98, The Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. The film has since screened in competition all over the world, in more than 20 international film festivals in 10 different countries. Anything Once was recognized as one of the best short films of the year at the 1998 Palm Springs International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and Dan was featured in the September '98 issue of QV Magazine (www.qvmagazine.com/qv6/). Dan has moved on to new projects with tremendous passion, a new short film and a feature debut are coming soon.- Guillermo Pereyra was born on 20 February 1980 in Río Cuarto, Argentina.
