Lopez Paid $6 Million for Baby Pics

Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony were paid a staggering $6 million for the first pictures of their newborn twins Max and Emme. People magazine dug deep for the rights to show the world the month-old tots - trumping the $1.5 million a rival paid pop star Christina Aguilera for the first snaps of her baby son Max. Tabloid editors claim stars are competing to win more and more money from magazines - and that if pregnant Angelina Jolie is carrying twins, as is rumored, she can expect a $10 million payday. One magazine boss tells the New York Post, "It's at the point now where some stars might decide to have more kids just to collect the money from their photos."

Chambers: "I Suffer From Biological Sleep Disorder"

Grey's Anatomy star Justin Chambers has spoken out for the first time about his battle with exhaustion, describing his condition as "a biological sleep disorder." The 37-year-old actor checked himself into Los Angeles' UCLA Medical Center in January for treatment after a period of getting only one hour of sleep each week. Chambers tells American magazine People, "I suffer from a biological sleep disorder. Your body is tired but your mind keeps racing. You lie down and then you get up and pace, and then you lie down but you can't fall asleep. It's like a dog chasing its tail. You get to your wits' end. I went a good two months without really sleeping. So a specialist I had been working with referred me to UCLA. They gave me (medication) in a private room with a connection to the outside, and I slept. Two days there was perfect." But the low-key father-of-five found himself splashed all over the tabloids when pop superstar Britney Spears was admitted to the same hospital days later in a media frenzy. He adds, "It would have been private had Britney Spears' spotlight not spread on me. It's enough to handle with my family. I don't need people speculating about issues I'm dealing with." Following his hospital stay, Chambers is now getting a lot more sleep: "I get six or seven hours of sleep a night. I'm not someone who requires a lot of sleep."

Steve-O Skips Arraignment Date

Jackass star Steve-O's arraignment on felony drug charges has been postponed until next month after the stuntman skipped his Los Angeles court date on Wednesday. The troubled 33-year-old - real name Stephen Glover - was charged with possession of cocaine after his March 3 arrest on suspicion of vandalizing his neighbors' property in L.A. Just days after the incident, Steve-O checked himself into L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he is currently receiving treatment following a reported suicide attempt. While Steve-O was not present for the Los Angeles Superior Court hearing on Wednesday, he was represented by his lawyer Barry Sands. And Judge James Banco took pity on the star's current health status and set a new arraignment date for April 23. However, Steve-O's absence meant he had to forfeit his $10,000 bail. Attorney Sands says, "(He's) doing great. He's been in the hospital for two weeks. He voluntarily checked himself in. But he will be at the next court hearing."

Smith's Name Added To Passport Investigation

U.S. officials fear tragic model Anna Nicole Smith's passport has been improperly accessed, joining presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, John McCain and Barack Obama on the list of targets. The passport information of famous Americans has been suspiciously viewed at least 20 times since January, according to an investigation by the internal state department, reports the New York Daily News. Last week it was revealed Clinton, McCain and Obama have all fallen victim to illegitimate snooping, prompting Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to issue an apology. And now Smith - who died from an accidental drug overdose in Florida in February 2007 - has been posthumously hauled into the investigation, after an alleged bogus request from the U.S. Embassy in the Bahamas for information needed to complete her death certificate. The state department is adding this apparent breach to their investigation and may call in the Department of Justice if needed.

Macpherson To Front Revlon Campaign

Supermodel Elle Macpherson has been unveiled as the new brand ambassador for cosmetics giant Revlon Inc. The Australian stunner will follow in the footsteps of other Revlon beauties Cindy Crawford, Halle Berry and Eva Mendes but, unlike those stars, Macpherson will also be involved in the company's other charity events. She says, "I am proud to join Revlon in its celebration of women and its long term commitment and support for education and research to advance women's health and particularly to fight women's cancers." And Revlon bosses believe Macpherson is the best person to represent their brand worldwide because of her multiple career ventures, reports WWD.com. Revlon's Chris Elshaw says, "She is a talented model, entrepreneur, actress and mother, which fits in with Revlon's brand values."

Beckinsale Turns Her Back On Sexy Roles

British actress Kate Beckinsale has vowed not to take any more glamorous movie roles - declaring her time as a "sex-bomb" is over. The 34-year-old star began her acting career in Kenneth Branagh's 1993 version of Much Ado About Nothing but graduated to action-packed adventures including Underworld and Van Helsing. But Beckinsale is now determined to turn her career around and prove herself as a serious actress. She says, "The sex-bomb thing is totally fun but you want to take the red shoes off sometimes. I've been wanting to do something more dramatic. I don't regret any of my movies but I do have a certain embarrassment about one or two of them."

Madonna To Launch 'Hard Candy' Tour?

Madonna has further fueled reports she is to hit the road to support the upcoming release of her new album Hard Candy, after rumors of a new tour schedule featuring three concert dates surfaced online. The Material Girl is set to release her 11th studio album on April 28, and internet reports claim she will perform exclusive shows in New York, London and Paris to celebrate the new project. The gigs appear on music website BrooklynVegan.com; the site claims the queen of pop will perform in New York on the day of the album's release, in Paris on May 6 and in London on May 10.

No Rehab for Winehouse

Amy Winehouse's representative has denied the star is to check back into rehab - insisting she has put her drug problems behind her. The hitmaker was admitted to a clinic in January to finally kick her addictions - but checked out after just two weeks. And subsequent pictures of the singer looking distinctly unhealthy led to reports that she is planning on returning to a rehabilitation facility to continue treatment. But Winehouse's representative has rubbished the rumors, putting the star's current health issues down to a recent skin infection. He tells Us Weekly, "Amy's doing well. She is not going back to rehab at this time. The problem is that her face looks bad because of impetigo - it's not a nice thing, but it's not related to drugs. (Amy is) having time off, recording a bit at her home studios, about to go back into the studio properly and working towards her husband's freedom." Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, has been incarcerated in a London prison since November on charges of assault and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Newton Goes Green by Buying Vintage Clothing

British actress Thandie Newton has called on wannabe style icons to help the environment and buy secondhand clothing. The climate change-conscious Crash star believes in stocking her own wardrobe with recycled and stylish vintage wear. She says, "It is grotesque how out of control manufacturing has become, and the excess, the pollution that's caused by it. Vintage (clothing) is not only glorious and stylish, it's also the way forward in terms of recycling. Whenever I go into great vintage stores, I wonder why we ever buy new things."
