Report: Kidman's Trainer Attacks Paparazzo
Nicole Kidman's trainer and assistant has hit the headlines after allegedly beating up a paparazzo in Santa Monica, California. Flynet.com photographer Jeremy needed medical attention after his violent encounter with David Garris on Thursday, which was partially caught on video. In the footage, which has been posted online, the trainer is seen approaching Jeremy's vehicle and attacking the photographer through the window. The video footage then ends but the audio captures the snapper's outrage and anguish as Garris allegedly lashes out at him, raging, "You can't f**king chase me, you're f**king with me... I'm f**king sick of you guys." Jeremy was trying to get pictures of pregnant Kidman and her trainer hiking when the attack took place. According to Flynet.com, the trainer reportedly briefly "stole" their photographer's camera. Photos of Jeremy's bruised and battered face after the attack are also featured on the Flynet website. According to the website, police are currently investigating the incident.
Medical Center Staff Fired for Spears Snooping

Bosses at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles have fired a dozen employees for snooping in Britney Spears' records. Hospital officials have suspended another six people after discovering as many as 20 staff members had attempted to defy medical centre rules and obtain confidential information about Spears, a recent patient. The pop star was hospitalized in the facility's psychiatric ward at the beginning of last month. Those disciplined include physicians, according to the Los Angeles Times newspaper. The security breaches also prompted hospital officials to reveal they had also disciplined and sacked staff for looking at Spears' confidential records following the birth to her first son, Sean Preston, in 2005. UCLA officials reveal they sent a memo to all staff when Spears was admitted to hospital, warning employees that snooping through a celebrity patient's records would be considered a violation of federal patient privacy law the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The email read, "Please remember that any unauthorized access by a workforce member will be subject to disciplinary action, which could include termination." The hospital officials confirm those disciplined include both medical and non-medical employees, but no doctors were targeted for firing.
Clooney To Return to 'ER'?
Michael Clayton actor George Clooney is reportedly set to make a comeback on the long-running medical drama ER for its final season. The series' producer David Zabel is desperate to get characters old and new together for a one-off special to celebrate the hit show ending - namely Clooney, who would reprise his role as Dr. Douglas Ross. The TV drama, which will reportedly end after its 15th season, catapulted the 46-year-old star to the Hollywood A-list after his run on the show from 1994 to 1999. Zabel says, "We want to revisit characters that have existed on the show over the years and say where they are now. We'd love to get them all back in some way - that doesn't mean we are going to but we are going to try." And bosses at the show's network NBC are also eager to bring back actor Anthony Edwards - despite the fact his character Dr. Mark Greene died of a brain tumor. Zabel adds, "There are ways to do it that we've thought about - even if it were like a lost episode from 1996."
Busey Apologizes for Red Carpet Blunder
Gary Busey has publicly apologized for his bizarre behavior on the red carpet at the Oscars last month when he lunged at a terrified Jennifer Garner and planted an unwanted kiss on her neck. The actress and pal Laura Linney were in the middle of a live interview when Busey approached the pair and embraced and kissed them. Nervous Garner had to struggle to maintain her composure as Busey then stood right next to her for the remainder of the televised interview with TV and radio personality Ryan Seacrest, before Linney dragged her away to safety. Busey has since revealed he had no idea the ladies were being interviewed live, and now he's making a public apology on TV. Speaking on TV show Extra, he says, "I got very excited and I did not know Ryan Seacrest was doing an interview. I apologized to Jennifer, I apologized to (husband) Ben Affleck, I apologized to Ryan."
'Gilligan's Island' Star Speaks Out About Legal Mess

Former Gilligan's Island star Dawn Wells has gone public with her efforts to clear her name after marijuana was found in her car during a traffic stop. The actress, who played Mary Ann in the beloved U.S. TV show, admits she's upset by media reports she's a drug user and agreed to be interviewed for TV news show Entertainment Tonight to explain the truth. The 69-year-old was alleged to have been sentenced to five days in jail, placed on six months' probation and fined $410.50 at a hearing in Driggs, Idaho on February 29 after pleading guilty to reckless driving following a recent arrest on suspicion of possessing marijuana. But Kelly insists the media has got its facts wrong. She says, "I need to put the kibosh on rumors. It was my birthday and I was coming from a dinner. The marijuana found in the car was not mine. The marijuana charge was dismissed and the person whom it belonged to went to jail. There was no Dui charge. I want to make it clear that I was charged with a traffic offense." She also disputes reports that she failed a sobriety test. She confirms she was charged with reckless driving and takes responsibility for that. She adds, "I was weaving. I was trying to turn on the heater and was in an unfamiliar car. But I've only had one ticket in my life and I was going seven miles over the speed limit."
Gere Obscenity Case Thrown Out
Richard Gere has been cleared of charges of obscene behavior after a lawsuit relating to a 2007 incident in India was thrown out of the country's Supreme Court. A court in the western state of Rajasthan, India, issued a warrant for Gere's arrest last year after he passionately embraced Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty and kissed her several times at an April AIDS awareness event in New Delhi. Displays of public affection are outlawed in the conservative country. Prosecutors also wanted Shetty to appear in court over charges that she did not resist the actor's advances, but they were later suspended by the Supreme Court. Gere initially dismissed the row as "nothing", but later apologized for causing any offense. And now a two-judge bench headed by the Chief Justice of India, KG Balakrishnan has quashed the case following an appeal by Gere's lawyers, branding the charges "frivolous" and "cheap publicity." Balakrishnan says, "Richard Gere is free to enter the country. This is the end of the matter." He also blamed the complainants for bringing "a bad name to the Country."
Lohan: "My Lack of Focus Led to Rehab"

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has blamed a "lack of focus" for forcing her into rehab. The 21-year-old singer/actress was admitted to the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah last year, and she insists she has no one to blame but herself. She tells People.com, "I think it was just situations that I was putting myself in. I was putting myself in the wrong situations and I didn't have the focus in the right place." But Lohan insists her family has been nothing but wholly supportive towards her. She adds, "My family has always been important to me, and they've always supported me. I'm blessed to have a really wonderful family."
Impatient Portman Turns Producer

Actress Natalie Portman formed her own production company after growing tired of waiting around for movie offers to land in her mail box. The 26-year-old actress found the process frustrating and that scripts being offered to her were inconsistent - so she decided to take her career into her own hands and form HandsomeCharlie Films. Portman says, "It is proactive. It gives you more control over creating things, as opposed to having to get hired every single time. After you've worked for so long, it's kind of annoying to have to be dependent in that way. I've been working 15 years and I know some years I get everything first and some years I read only uninteresting parts. I didn't want to be at the mercy of whoever is making those decisions. Having your own company is a nice way to concentrate your ideas and make the kinds of movies you want to see."
Carrey Goes Naked on Letterman
Jim Carrey shocked fans on David Letterman's late night talk show last Monday, when he showed up in a bathrobe and then stripped naked. The comedian performed a skit pretending he'd forgotten about the switch to daylight saving time on Saturday night, and was being massaged in his hotel, when he should have been on the show. After dashing onto the set wearing just a robe, socks and slippers, Carrey told Letterman, "I was at a spa at the hotel. I was in the middle of an incredible massage. Then Svetlana started talking about daylight saving time. I immediately went flaccid and I ran right over here." He then hid behind a chair, stripped down to nothing and got dressed in clothes handed to him by an assistant called Lance. Carrey also produced a prop gun he told the host was for scaring paparazzi photographers: "I'm not a very good shot. It's really about the paparazzi. Once you start waving that about..."
Spelling Confirms Breast Surgery To End Speculation

Actress Tori Spelling has finally admitted to having a boob job. The 34-year-old, who has also had surgery on her nose, has revealed she had the breast augmentation to put an end to speculation about the size of her chest. She says, "(I had) a boob job. There it is. I finally said it. I wanted to come clean that I had my boobs done in my 20s, because people falsely write that I've had all those things done. I've had the two procedures that probably every other woman in Hollywood has had done."
