Clooney Denies Marriage Reports

George Clooney has dismissed reports he is to wed his girlfriend Sarah Larson. The Michael Clayton star and former waitress Larson were alleged to be planning a summer wedding at Clooney's villa in Lake Como, Italy. A restaurant worker in Laglio, near Lake Como, fueled rumors on Monday when he told the media: "They haven't made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged." Clooney and Larson will celebrate their one-year anniversary this June, but it appears the 46-year-old isn't quite ready to give up his bachelor status just yet. In a statement released to Wenn on Monday, he says, "These reports are not true." His representative Stan Rosenfield adds, "(There's) no truth to any element of this story." The Hollywood heartthrob vowed never to walk down the aisle again after his four-year marriage to actress Talia Balsam ended in divorce in 1993, and he recently admitted he is still against the idea of another union. He said: "I said those things in 1993 and it has kind of stuck with me ever since. The truth is that it's not a consideration."

Ledger's Final Film Will Not Be Altered, Vow Producers

Producers working on Heath Ledger's final film have vowed not to alter the tragic star's last performance, even though the actor never got the chance to complete the project before his untimely death. Work on The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus resumed on Monday after the Brokeback Mountain star's death halted filming on the project earlier this year. In his honor, Hollywood superstars Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law have signed up to feature in the film, which is due for release next year. However, the film's director Terry Gilliam and its producers have promised to preserve every detail of Ledger's final performance, and that the hiring of the three new stars will not affect his work. A statement released by the movie's producers reads, "Since the format of the story allows for the preservation of his entire performance, at no point will Heath's work be modified or altered through the use of digital technology. Each of the parts played by Johnny, Colin and Jude is representative of the many aspects of the character that Heath was playing." Gilliam adds, "I am delighted that Heath's brilliant performance can be shared with the world. We are looking forward to finishing the movie and, through the film, with a modicum of humility, being able to touch people's hearts and souls as Heath was able to do." Ledger had just finished shooting scenes for the fantasy movie in London just days before he was found dead in his New York apartment in January. Toxicology results released last month revealed Ledger was killed by an accidental overdose of prescribed medications.

Griffin Marries Couple

Comedienne Kathy Griffin jetted from Los Angeles to New York at the weekend to marry two die-hard fans. Brian Anstey and Elka Shapiro asked the flame-haired funnywoman to officiate at their wedding, because they bonded over a mutual love of her comedy act. And they were stunned when she agreed to be ordained and attend the Queens ceremony on Sunday. Griffin, 47, says, "The request came in, and how could I say no?" After a 10 minute ceremony littered with expletives, Shapiro said, "Neither of us is affiliated with any particular religion, and the major factor in our relationship is the laughter. Kathy was fantastic and had us all in hysterics during the ceremony. We are so lucky that she agreed to marry us because it's so unusual and something we'll always remember."

Borgnine Aims for 200 Movies

Veteran actor Ernest Borgnine is keen to land a series of quickie TV films - so he can hit a landmark 200 movies in 2008. The Oscar-winning 91-year-old claims he has appeared in 198 film projects and he's determined to make it to 200 quickly - with a little help from TV networks. After winning a 2008 Golden Globe Award nomination for his leading role in A Grandpa For Christmas and acclaim for upcoming TV western Aces 'N' Eights, Borgnine hopes to land more TV roles. He says, "I'm waiting for some stuff to come through from Hallmark (the TV network) with a couple of things and then I'll reach 200 movies. But I hope to make more than 200." And he's up for anything - as he proved when he insisted on doing his own horse-riding in new TV movie Aces 'N' Eights. Borgnine explains, "I was 90 when I made this and I was still getting on a horse. They said, 'Are you really gonna get on a horse?' I said, 'Of course. I'll do it just like Duke (John) Wayne used to do it. Get a ladder and climb up and get on! How do you think Wayne used to get up there?'"

Fischer Asks Fans To Stop Asking Her Out Online

Actress Jenna Fischer has called on her male fans to stop emailing her requests for a date. The 34-year-old star of the U.S. version of TV hit The Office has been single since she split up with her husband James Gunn in November. And, despite her new available status, Fischer isn't impressed when lustful fans get in touch with her via her MySpace.com webpage. She says, "No stalkers - yet. I think it's really cute when people send me an invitation to their wedding. But I've also received uncomfortable letters in which I'm asked out on dates - but for real, not joking. The writers have obviously read about me and made up a list of reasons they think we would make a good couple - like we're both from small towns, or they also love animals. I just don't get it. Do people really go out on dates when they get a letter?"

Love Blasts Bipolar Claims

Rocker Courtney Love has slammed reports she is bipolar, insisting claims she is suffering from the disorder are "slander." The former Hole singer is furious her erratic behavior is constantly being referred to as a result of the alleged illness, although she does admit to being somewhat "eccentric" because of her tendency to speak her mind. Writing on her MySpace blog, she says, "God, people are bats**t. And im (sic) not the one who is. and i hear now i am 'Bi Polar' uhhhh...thats more nuts than I will ever be. I may be Eccentric, i certainly speak my mind and am slow to put out a record i need to mean the world to ME, and im sure i am quite Nuerotic (sic) but 'Bi Polar'. Thats just slander. I shoot straight from the hip and spellcheck has Nothing to do with Reality."

Simpson Screens Unfinished Movie to Troops

Actress/singer Jessica Simpson has boosted the morale of U.S. troops stationed in Kuwait with her own Hollywood tour of duty. The 27-year-old's upcoming film Major Movie Star follows the adventures of a spoiled actress, played by Simpson, who accidentally enlists in the American armed forces. So Simpson, who is currently in the Middle East entertaining soldiers as they await deployment to Iraq, decided to screen the unfinished movie to the troops. She says, "It's actually in production right now, but once I found out I was going to come out here to Kuwait, I wanted the soldiers to be the very first to screen Major Movie Star. I haven't even seen it yet, so they got to see it before me. The special effects and all that kind of stuff's not in it (yet), but I wanted them to be the first to enjoy it and watch me make a fool out of myself trying to do boot camp."

Jackson's Fans Bid for Neverland

Two loyal Michael Jackson fans are hoping to save the star from bankruptcy by purchasing his Neverland Ranch. British followers Liam Collins, 29, and David Bone, 26, have launched a bid to buy the multi-million dollar property in Santa Barbara County, California. The Thriller hitmaker could lose the estate unless he pays off a $24 million debt by March 19. And the property tycoons have even offered Jackson the chance to rent it back. Bone says, "We really want to see Jacko back on his feet. He's had a real hard time of it."

Spears Set for TV Role

Britney Spears has reportedly landed a small role on quirky U.S. TV sitcom How I Met Your Mother. The pop star's father Jamie, who is serving as co-conservator of her estate, has signed off on the project, according to Tmz.com. She'll apparently appear on an upcoming episode. Details about the date of filming and the air date have not been released.
