Damon & Wife Expecting Second Child

Hollywood actor Matt Damon is to become a father for the second time. The Bourne Ultimatum star and wife Luciana will welcome the new addition to their family later this year. Damon's spokesman Jennifer Allen tells People.com, "They couldn't be happier. They're so excited!" The couple announced the news after attending the Empire Film Awards in London on Sunday night. They already have a daughter, Isabella, one. Damon is also stepfather to Luciana's nine-year-old daughter Alexia.

"Fake Suicide Alert" at Locklear's Home

Emergency services responded to a hoax "suicide attempt" alert at Heather Locklear's house in California on Saturday night, according to a report. Ventura County Fire Department sent two paramedic units to the actress' Thousand Oaks home after receiving a 911 call, which didn't originate from Locklear's property, only to quickly realize there was no suicide risk. Website Tmz.com quotes fireman Captain Barry Parker as saying officials determined there was "no problem" after speaking with Locklear. As WENN went to press, a representative for Locklear was unavailable for comment.

Miller Engaged to Ifans

Actress Sienna Miller is to marry boyfriend Rhys Ifans after his third proposal, according to reports. The Factory Girl star is said to be planning a summer wedding with the 39-year-old actor, who first asked for Miller's hand in marriage in August by sending her a cryptic message in Welsh, his first language, which read: "Marry the Misfit." He proposed for a second time in December at her 26th birthday party by hiding an engagement ring in a pile of gifts. But it proved to be third time lucky for the Notting Hill star after Miller accepted his proposal earlier this month. And the one-year couple is reportedly keen to keep their forthcoming nuptials low-key. A source tells British newspaper the Sunday Mirror, "Rhys has admitted he and Sienna are getting married. Everything is supposed to be hush-hush, but Rhys is over the moon and finding it hard to keep quiet. He can't believe she finally said yes. Although Si and Rhys have a lot of famous friends, they will keep it low-key. They won't be signing up to some magazine deal." Miller, who has previously called Ifans her soul mate, recently said, "I am in love - Rhys and I are the best of mates and life is going great."

Clooney: "Fabio Could Easily Have Beaten Me in a Fight"

George Clooney is grateful his angry encounter with actor Fabio in a Los Angeles restaurant didn't result in a fight, because he's convinced the Italian would have beaten him up. The pair exchanged angry words at eatery Madeo in November - Fabio claims he was forced to take action when a female dining companion complained to him that fellow diner Clooney had called her "a fat cow." Fabio - real name Fabio Lanzoni - later said, "I could have f***ed him up. Oh my god, I could have beaten the s**t out of him. I am still so p**sed at him." And Clooney agrees, admitting the humiliation of losing a fight with Fabio had crossed his mind. Clooney tells American magazine Esquire, "He's a big guy. There is a moment when you are actually in the argument and you're thinking, 'If I do get beaten down by Fabio, that will be far worse than the pain. I wouldn't shake that.'"

Morton Reveals Secret Trauma of Stroke

British actress Samantha Morton was left close to death after suffering a severe stroke two years ago - which almost brought her successful career to an abrupt end. The Golden Globe-winning actress has spoken out for the first time about the debilitating illness - which has remained a secret, until now - which left her unable to walk after part of the ceiling of her new home collapsed on top of her in 2006. As a result of the incident, Morton pulled out of the thriller Transsiberian and was replaced by fellow Brit Emily Mortimer as she took a year-and-a-half break from acting to recuperate from her head injuries. But her health crisis was a lot worse than the public had been led to believe - a few days after the accident, she had a stroke brought on by the impact of the ceiling collapse, and she was left almost bedridden after losing control of her legs. But with the support of her friends and family, she soon learned to walk again and has since made a full recovery. However, she credits her close pal Jason Pierce - the singer from rock band Spiritualized - with helping her to overcome her bad health after his own life-threatening experience with pneumonia. She says, "Jason and I have been mirroring each other. He was really sick and then I had a stroke at the beginning of (that) year. He was the only person I knew who understood what that was like, being near to death. He's just an incredible person. He's very courageous, and he helped me get through it all." Morton is now back to full health and in January gave birth to a daughter, Edie, with filmmaker fiance Harry Holm.

Spelling Confesses to Near Bankruptcy

Actress Tori Spelling almost filed for bankruptcy after notching up hundreds of thousands of dollars on her credit cards. The So Notorious blames being the daughter of late billionaire Aaron Spelling for her wayward spending habits when she was growing up. Spelling admits she was too proud to ask her father, who died in 2006, for money, so decided to work her way out of debt. The 34-year-old, who reveals the extent of her out-of-control shopping habit in new memoirs Tori Telling, recalls, "In all honesty, I grew up a certain way. I never had to worry about money. That was my reality. I would sit and watch my mom order stuff online, or in a catalogue, see a sweater and order it in 10 different colors. I thought, 'I have my own money - that's what I should do.'"

Wave Crashes on Parker Photo Shoot

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker narrowly escaped a soaking after a giant wave crashed onto the riverside set of a photo shoot for Vogue magazine. The 42-year-old and her Sex And The City co-star Chris Noth were sitting in a tiny boat in New York's East River on Saturday for a shoot with iconic photographer Annie Leibovitz when an icy wave hit the set and drenched the crew - but just missed splashing the stars. It wasn't the first mishap to befall the photo shoot - Parker was being photographed by Leibovitz on Friday at New York's Lincoln Center when she tripped on red-carpeted stairs and fell over.

Chan Mourns Father's Death

Action hero Jackie Chan flew to Australia on Saturday to attend his father's funeral - six years after the death of his mother. The Rush Hour star's father Charlie died in a Hong Kong hospital on February 26 after battling with prostate cancer. He was 93. Chan brought his father's body to Canberra, Australia - where his parents had lived together - so he could be laid to rest beside his mother Lee Lee Chan, who died in 2002. Hundreds of mourners including the U.S. ambassador and Chinese deputy envoy attended the funeral - messages of support were read out from former U.S. vice president Al Gore and film director Quentin Tarantino. The movie star and his son Jason led mourners from the service carrying a large photo of his father before traveling to the cemetery, where roses and fishing mementoes were placed alongside the casket. He said, "It's a hard day. I loved my father so much because he did so much for me when I was young. We had a very poor family and he left Hong Kong to support himself. He was just the greatest father for me." The stunt man's father lived in Australia for more than 40 years - but spent most of his final years in Hong Kong with his actor son following the death of his wife.

Presley To Sue Over "Fat" Jibes

Pregnant singer Lisa Marie Presley is launching a libel bid against a British newspaper after it published an article alleging she is overweight. Elvis Presley's daughter says the Daily Mail's story, which was picked up by various media sources worldwide, ridiculed her appearance and forced her to disclose she is expecting a child. Simon Smith, the star's U.K. lawyer, says the publication's claims she had an "unhealthy appetite" and is "growing like her dad" caused her to feel "deeply upset and offended." The 40-year-old is issuing the libel claim against Associated Newspapers, the Daily Mail's publishers, at London's High Court. Presley's spokeswoman Cindy Guagenti says, "(The article was) like, 'She's gonna die like her father', 'She and her mom are in a fight because of her weight' - that's not true at all. It's just awful stuff." The star hit back at the media on Friday with a blog on website MySpace.com, which read: "After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am, in fact, pregnant. Once they got a glimpse of my expanding physique a few days ago, they have been like a pack of coyotes circling their prey whilst eerily howling with delight. Starting with a London publication and then New York and Chicago all writing false defamatory, degrading stories about all of the dark possible reasons I could be putting on weight." Presley has two teenage children from her previous marriage to Danny Keogh - Riley, 18, and 15-year-old Benjamin - but this is her first child with husband Michael Lockwood.

Spears To Fight High Legal Bills

Britney Spears' father Jamie Spears is furious at the amount of legal fees his daughter's custody fight with ex-husband Kevin Federline has garnered - and is planning to contest the $1.1 million invoice at a court hearing next week. Jamie Spears was appointed conservator of the pop star's legal and financial affairs in February and is in charge of her estate - with court-appointed observer Andrew Wallet - until July 31, after he was granted an extension on Wednesday. But Jamie is reportedly disputing the high attorneys' fees he has been billed for - $500,000 from Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, and more than $600,000 from Britney's representatives Trope and Trope - for work carried out in the last five months, from October to February. According to Tmz.com, Jamie has filed documents with Los Angeles Superior Court to challenge the invoice and a hearing is set to take place on Monday - on the same day Spears is due to face her ex in a child custody/visitation case.
