Goldberg Offers Support to Swayze
Whoopi Goldberg has offered her support to cancer-suffering pal Patrick Swayze - and is desperate for her Ghost co-star to get better. Reports that the Dirty Dancing star was suffering from pancreatic cancer surfaced on Wednesday, and were later confirmed by his publicist. Speaking on TV show The View on Thursday, Goldberg spoke of the actor as "a man I adore." And Goldberg admitted she had a special place in her heart for the 55-year-old after he insisted she be cast in the 1990 movie, for which she won an Oscar. She told viewers, "When I won my Academy Award, the only person I really thanked was Patrick
because (of how) he said, 'I'm not making this movie unless you put Whoopi Goldberg in it.' He knew I was right for this part." Goldberg then delivered a message of support to her pal. Looking directly into the camera, she said, "Baby, as always
we want you to know, we want you to feel better. We'll talk soon, I hope."
Ling Pleads Guilty To Disturbing the Peace

Chinese actress Bai Ling has been fined $200 after pleading guilty to disturbing the peace in relation to her recent arrest on suspicion of shoplifting. The Crow star was picked up by police on February 13 after walking into a terminal gift shop at Los Angeles International Airport and leaving with two magazines and a pack of batteries without paying for the goods, worth just $16.22. The 37-year-old has since insisted the episode was just part of a "crazy day," blaming the incident on the pressures caused by the "huge problem" of breaking up with her boyfriend just before Valentine's Day. Ling was also ordered on Wednesday by a Los Angeles judge to pay several hundred dollars in fees, including court costs.
Costner Settles Unmade Film Lawsuit

Actor/director Kevin Costner has settled a breach of contract lawsuit he filed in 2005 against a production company over the film Taming Ben Taylor. The Oscar winner sued Ascendant Pictures after the firm pulled out of their contract to make the film with Costner in the lead role. The 53-year-old Waterworld star argued the lost project had cost him about $8 million in earnings and the case was due to be heard in court on Wednesday. However, the two parties came to an out-of-court agreement on Monday, according to Costner's lawyer William Bossen. Details of the settlement have not been released.
Former 'NYPD Blue' Star Cleared of Rape Charges

Actor Esai Morales has been cleared of rape accusations by his ex-girlfriend, after a district attorney found no grounds on which to convict him.
Elizabeth Mazzocchi, 33, initially accused the former NYPD Blue star of sexual misconduct in August and re-accused him of rape during a press conference in December, claiming other women had approached her with similar charges against Morales.
But authorities were skeptical of her claims because she had lived with Morales for 15 months following the alleged assault, reports New York gossip column PageSix.
Richard Charnley, Morales' lawyer, says, "There were never any charges filed against Mr. Morales due to insufficient evidence.
There was an inquiry because the DA (district attorney) has to look at every claim, but my client was never charged with a crime, never arrested, never interviewed by police."
Mazzocchi's current lawyer, Nader Pakfar, says, "A civil case will continue in order to gather more evidence. Just because he's not being charged at this point doesn't mean if an admission comes tomorrow, they won't charge him."
In the state of California, it is illegal to file a false police report, but it is unclear yet if Mazzocchi will be charged with a crime.
Schneider Brothers Sued by Longtime Collaborator

Actor Rob Schneider and his producer brother John have been hit with a breach of contract lawsuit by their former collaborator Bob Rubin. The Schneider siblings are alleged to have reneged on a verbal agreement with Rubin over his fee for helping them find an investor for the as-yet-unreleased movie The Chosen One. In court papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, Rubin claims he secured finances of $9.5 million for the comedy in early 2007, for which John had promised him a three per cent take for raising the funds. But Rubin alleges his take was then reduced to just one per cent of the film's $8 million budget, meaning payment of $80,000, instead of the $240,000 he was promised. His lawsuit states: "Having known John Schneider and Robert Schneider for over 23 years, (Rubin) trusted John Schneider's word." The Schneiders' longtime collaborator finally agreed to the pay cut, but he allegedly encountered further trouble when he tried to collect the money. He claims he is still owed $60,000 by the brothers, an amount which has been outstanding since October. He is suing the Schneiders for at least $350,000 in damages, citing breach of contract, fiduciary duty and unjust enrichment. The Schneiders have yet to comment on the allegations.
Stallone & Rock Named in Pellicano Witness List

Action man Sylvester Stallone and comedians Chris Rock and Garry Shandling have been named among a list of potential witnesses in the trial of disgraced private investigator Anthony Pellicano. The stars are just some of the celebrities who allegedly had their phones bugged or names illegally checked against police databases on the order of Pellicano. The spy has pleaded not guilty to federal charges in a 111-count indictment, including charges of conspiracy and police bribery. He is alleged to have been collecting information on celebrities for his clients to use for threats or blackmail. The prosecution's extensive witness list, baring 127 names, was unveiled on Wednesday as jury selection was completed in the case. However, Stallone, Rock and Shandling may not be summoned to appear in court as it is unclear just how many of the witnesses will actually testify, a note made by U.S. District Judge Dale Fischer. The trial is set to begin with opening statements on Thursday in a Los Angeles court. Pellicano, 63, will represent himself against the charges.
Dina Lohan: "Lindsay Was Not Offered Playboy Shoot"
Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan has denied reports her daughter was approached by Hugh Hefner to strip off for a photo shoot in his famous Playboy magazine. It was widely reported last week the mogul had asked the 21-year-old to re-create Marilyn Monroe's famous nude swimming scene from 1962 movie Something's Got To Give for the pages of Playboy, after posing in a state of undress for New York magazine the same month. But Dina Lohan - who is currently filming a reality series about life with the Lohans - is adamant the Mean Girls star was not asked to pose nude for the adult publication. She tells UsMagazine.com, "That (offer) never happened. That would be a no."
Leoni Launches UNICEF Chemical Awareness Project

Actress Tea Leoni has launched a new UNICEF initiative to raise awareness of children with Agent Orange-caused disabilities in Vietnam. The Deep Impact star - and ambassador for the charity - visited families and health centers with children suffering from birth defects linked to the chemical, which was widely used by the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s. She says, "The (U.S.) public, I think, is not aware of some of the specific dioxin issues. I think there is great compassion from the U.S. and its citizens (and a desire) to want to bridge whatever gap there may be remaining from our time here. As a mother it is a very intense experience to visit with another mother and see her caring for children who are so in need of support and care." Caryl Stern, of UNICEF, says the UNICEF United States Fund is aiming to raise $2 million this year and up to $5 million over the next few years for Vietnamese children with disabilities.
Charvet a Dad Again

Former Baywatch hunk David Charvet is celebrating becoming a father again - the actor's model fiancee Brooke Burke gave birth to the couple's second child on Wednesday. No details of the baby boy's name have been released. The child is Burke's fourth; she has two daughters from her marriage to plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher. Charvet and Burke also have a baby daughter, Heaven Rain, who was born in January 2007. Burke's publicist Nancy Iannios tells America's In Touch magazine, "He's (baby) really, really cute."
Spears' Dad Wins Cash Bonus for Taking Care of Britney

A Los Angeles court commissioner has ruled that Britney Spears' dad can draw $2,500-a-week from his daughter's accounts - as conservator of her affairs. According to Tmz.com, Jamie Spears was also given permission to lease a car in a court ruling on Wednesday, during which the pop star's father was told he'd be allowed to stay in control of his daughter's legal and financial affairs until July 31. Jamie was appointed conservator of his daughter's affairs at the beginning of February. His shared responsibility - with court-appointed observer Andrew Wallet - was supposed to end on Monday. Instead, the extension will be made official on that date - hours after Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline's child custody and visitation case returns to Los Angeles Superior Court.
Rowland Confirms Breast Implants

Former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland has confirmed reports she's had breast implants. Rowland fueled speculation she'd had a boob job when photographers caught the now-busty singer on the beach in Miami, Florida last month, wearing the same purple bikini that made her look flat-chested in August 2007. And now Rowland has admitted she decided to go under the knife because she was fed up with her clothes not fitting her properly. She explains, "I was sick of not fitting into my tops. There was this one House Of Dereon top - I just wanted to fill that out. I simply went from an A-cup to a B-cup. I didn't want to have double-Ds and be little bitty size two - that would look nuts! It is a decision I made for myself. I like it, and that's all that counts."
