Troubled actor Tom Sizemore has been arrested on suspicion of using crystal methamphetamine in a car outside a hotel in Bakersfield, California. The 45-year-old, who is on probation for a 2004 drug offense, was picked up by police yesterday morning after an associate, Jason Salcido, reportedly got into an altercation with an employee of the Four Points Sheraton hotel. Thirty-three-year-old Salcido, who is on parole, was also arrested after police claim to have found him carrying a "narcotic smoking pipe." Sizemore was taken into custody when cops then searched a car he was sitting in, allegedly finding two bags of crystal methamphetamine and pipes. The pair were booked for investigation of possession of methamphetamine, being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. In October 2004, the Saving Private Ryan star was convicted of methamphetamine possession. The following year, his probation was revoked after he admitting faking a drug test. Sizemore tested positive for drug use in January 2006 - he was given three years probation and ordered to submit to weekly drug tests. In 2003, he was found guilty of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend, former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

Model/actress Molly Sims braved the red carpet at the Costume Institute gala in New York on Monday while nursing an injured foot. Sims fell while performing a stunt on hit TV drama Las Vegas and needed eight stitches to close a wound on her foot. But the model refused to miss New York fashion's most glitzy night, where she joined stars like Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lopez, Gisele Bundchen, and Lindsay Lohan in their favorite designer gowns. Sims wasn't the only star sporting a bandage at the event; former Will & Grace star Debra Messing had her right hand in a plaster cast. She said, "I was in a skiing accident and I had surgery, but I'm fine." The stars' injuries weren't the only things grabbing the attention at the gala; pregnant Salma Hayek made her first public appearance with fiance and fashion tycoon Francois-Henri Pinault since her engagement announcement, Renee Zellweger sported a new cropped look and Sandra Bullock spoke about her recent scare at the hands of an obsessed fan. The actress filed a request for a restraining order against Marcia Valentine after the fan attempted to run over her husband Jesse James on the couple's Orange County, California estate - but she told reporters she feels a little sorry for the woman. She said, "She's getting help. She deserves to get help... Nobody wants to be like that."

Paris Hilton is calling on her fans to help her stay out of jail - by endorsing an online petition they can sign. The desperate socialite, who was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail last week after violating terms of her 2006 drink-driving arrest, has teamed up with a pal called Joshua to urge fans to help her. In a post on her MySpace blog, Hilton, who is also asking California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her, writes, "My friend Joshua started this petition. Please help and sign it. I love you all!" The petition, which is addressed to Schwarzenegger, claims "the American public who support Paris are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that drunk driving is wrong. She provides hope for young people all over the US and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives. If the late former President Gerald Ford could find it in his heart to pardon the late former President Richard Nixon after his mistake(s), we undeniably support Paris Hilton being pardoned for her honest mistake as well." Hilton is due to start serving time by June 5 if her appeal fails, after being sentenced at a hearing at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday.

David Hasselhoff's legal team is convinced his bitter ex-wife leaked a video of the drunken Baywatch star growling abuse at his teenage daughter to the media, and plan to prove it in court. Pamela Bach insists she didn't even know the damning tape existed until she saw it on news show Extra, and claims her daughter's boyfriend, who works for the program, is the culprit. Appearing on CNN show Larry King Live on Monday, Bach blasted reports she and her attorney Debra Opri had leaked the video, shot by her 17-year-old daughter Taylor, claiming it was embarrassing and she'd have preferred it hadn't been made public. Opri says, "I heard that the boyfriend used to be a P.A. with Extra... All we know is we've been asking for it and I had to rely upon third party sources." Bach adds, "I also heard his (Hasselhoff's) assistant and his agent was there." But Hasselhoff's lawyers, Melvin Goldsman and Marci Levine aren't buying that argument. Goldsman says, "We're absolutely certain who released the tape and that is Pamela and maybe her lawyer. She said she didn't learn about the tape until late Wednesday. Well we have information she was contacting reporters early Wednesday morning, indicating her availability later in that day to discuss the contents of the tape."

Brittany Murphy has confirmed reports she is a married woman after tying the knot with British screenwriter Simon Monjack in Los Angeles last month. The 29-year-old actress's nuptials come nine months after she ended her engagement to best-boy grip Joe Macaluso, who she met on the set of Little Black Book. The Sin City star's representative tells People magazine, "They were married at their home in Los Angeles several weeks ago in a very intimate ceremony. It was officiated by a rabbi and they were surrounded by their families." Wedding reports started over the weekend at the Kentucky Derby, where the couple were spotted wearing wedding rings. A joint statement from the newlyweds reads, "This was our first trip as a married couple. We came to the Kentucky Derby and had a wonderful time." Murphy is set to star in her husband's forthcoming movie The White Hotel, which he is both writing and directing.

Richard Gere has been calling Indian actress Shilpa Shetty twice a day to make sure she is coping with the scandal surrounding their public kiss. The actor embraced Shetty on TV during an AIDS awareness event in Delhi last month, causing uproar in conservative India, where a warrant was later issued for Gere's arrest. The Chicago star has since apologized for the impromptu kiss, but he's still worried about the problems his actions have caused the Bollywood beauty. Shetty says, "He was so worried about me, he called me every day - sometimes twice! It was mortifying for him to have hit the headlines over something like this, but he was so generous about it all and kept calling me to make sure I was alright. He was genuinely very concerned about me. That is the kind of man he is."

Actress Rosie O'Donnell can empathize with Paris Hilton because she used to drink and drive. The Sleepless In Seattle star, 45, yesterday admitted she sometimes drove under the influence in her younger years - although there is no excuse for doing so. Talking on TV show The View, O'Donnell said, "Many people drive drunk. If you asked people in this audience how many have ever driven when they've had too much to drink, nearly everybody would raise their hand. It doesn't make it the right thing to do, and hopefully as you get to be an adult... I remember being 21 years old coming home from gigs, totally not in any capacity to drive. Thanks God I didn't kill anyone or anyone else."

Rapper/actor Nick Cannon is to marry his girlfriend Selita Ebanks - less than four months after they started dating. The Drumline star popped the question to the Victoria's Secret model on Monday with the help of a large video screen in New York's Times Square, which read, "Selita, will you marry me?" Cannon and Ebanks were chauffeured to the jumbotron where he got down on one knee and presented the beauty with a 12-carat diamond ring. Earlier this year, the couple were forced to deny they had secretly wed following a three-week courtship, after press reports claimed they had tied the knot in Las Vegas on the weekend of February 18.

Ocean's Thirteen actress Ellen Barkin was "clueless" when she decided to wed Revlon billionaire Ron Perelman. The successful actress' bank balance skyrocketed even further when she married Perelman in June 2000 - only for their union to end abruptly last year. Sea of Love star Barkin tells Parade magazine, "It's certainly not the shining moment of my 53 years on this planet. What the hell was I thinking? Marry a rich guy? Was I crazy? I was already at the party. I didn't need someone to get me through the door. How could I be so clueless?"

Australian actress Jacinda Barrett is pregnant with her first child. The Last Kiss star, 34, and American actor husband Gabriel Macht, 35, are expecting their baby later this year. The couple wed in 2004.
