J.Lo: My Heart Is Broken

Superstar Jennifer Lopez has been left "broken-hearted" by her shock split from Ben Affleck - as she was still planning their wedding on the day they parted. The Maid In Manhattan beauty, 33, says, despite her best efforts, she could not make her relationship with Gigli co-star Ben work and - she is now channeling her energy into her career instead. She says, "I am extremely brokenhearted. I put enormous effort into my relationship with Ben, but in the end, I realized I needed to put my personal and professional life back together." According to reports, the couple met for, what Lopez describes "the last supper", on January 19 and decided to part after Affleck admitted he was not ready to marry his fiancee. However, the quotes from Lopez have been slammed by her spokeswoman as false, although the interviewer - Star journalist Victoria Gotti - insists they are accurate. Gotti fumes, "The quotes are unequivocally and completely aboveboard and on the record."

"Jackson Was a Drug Addict" - Says Ex-Partner

Troubled pop superstar Michael Jackson has struggled with drug addiction, according to his former business partner Myung-ho Lee. Speaking in American magazine Vanity Fair, Lee makes a series of staggering claims about the singer - who is awaiting trial on child abuse charges. He alleges Jackson was addicted to drugs morphine and Demerol and that he convinced him to spend time in rehab in Seoul, South Korea, in 1999. Lee says, "I met with the doctor on a regular basis. We were getting Michael off what he was addicted to, Demerol and morphine. His problem is a sleep disorder. He's up, up to 48 hours at a time, and then crashes." Lee also sheds light on charges Jackson of administering an intoxicating liquor and molesting a 13 year old boy - he claims on a trip to Japan with the singer in 1998, Jackson gave the teen son of a business partner three soda cans full of wine, which he called "Jesus juice". Lee says, "Later that evening, the boy came back sick. Security informed me that he appeared drunk and his father was very upset." Jackson is currently on $3 million bail awaiting his next court hearing next month.

Kelly Osbourne: I Had a Nervous Breakdown

Rocker Kelly Osbourne suffered a mental breakdown last year following "12 months of hell". Kelly admits she caved in to depression after a catalog of personal disasters since 2002 left her feeling burnt out. The singer was left devastated when her mother Sharon Osbourne was diagnosed with colon cancer, her rocker beau Bert McCracken split with her and her brother Jack was treated in rehab for his drug addiction. Charismatic Kelly - whose legendary father Ozzy nearly died in December when he crashed his quad bike - also struggled to cope with the Black Sabbath star's return to his alcohol ways, brought about by his wife's illness. And on top of all her family crises, she was axed by her record label Epic - something she didn't know about until she read it in a magazine. She says, "My mum nearly died, somebody who I thought I was in love with broke my heart, my brother went into rehab, my dog Lulu died and I got dropped by my record company. It just seemed to be getting worse and worse and to be honest with you, it gave me a nervous breakdown in the summer. I got sent home from Europe because I was exhausted and emotionally f***ed. I've had to deal with every single person in the world judging me."

Sharon Osbourne's Show Cancelled

Sharon Osbourne's American chat show has been cancelled - less than five months after its debut. Executives from a major TV station group have told producers they are dropping the daytime show. Sharon claims she asked to be released from her contract in December, after her rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne suffered a near-fatal quad bike crash. Ratings for the show since its September 15 premiere have been disappointing for TV bosses. The Sharon Osbourne Show is expected to run until the summer.

Paltrow Shuns British Hospitals

Pregnant actress Gwyneth Paltrow has been scared off giving birth in a British hospital, thanks to her famous pal Madonna. The stunning Sylvia star - who is expecting her first child with rocker husband Chris Martin - is now shunning the prospect of entering a London hospital on the special day after Madonna reportedly relayed terrifying stories of medical blunders to her. And the Material Girl hitmaker, who caused outrage when she labeled British hospitals "old and Victorian" while pregnant with son Rocco, evidently had an influential effect on Gwyneth - the screen beauty's now decided to give birth at her mother Blythe's Hollywood home. A source tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "Madonna told her all these horror stories about how bad the English hospitals are. So now she has decided to give birth in Los Angeles. She has always wanted a home birth so she didn't think it would make much difference where she had it. But Madonna, who had lots of complications with son Rocco, told her that if something went wrong America would be the best place to be."

Quaid Thanks Crowe for Humiliating Him

Actor Dennis Quaid has thanked Russell Crowe for stealing his wife Meg Ryan, because it forced him to realize their troubled marriage was in ruins. The Far From Heaven star - who divorced Ryan in July 2001 after a 10-year union - admits he felt "humiliated" when the Australian hunk had an affair with his wife on the set of Proof Of Life, but accepts Crowe ultimately played a vital part in his long-term happiness. Quaid says, "I think he was a bit surprised when I thanked him. But, looking back over the past two years, I think Russell did Meg and I a big favor. He forced us to face up to something, because we were clinging on to a dead relationship. I felt hurt and humiliated, of course, but we hadn't been getting on for quite some time. We were bored with each other."

Selma Blair Weds

Legally Blonde beauty Selma Blair has married her rocker beau Ahmet Zappa in a low-key ceremony at actress Carrie Fisher's Beverly Hills mansion. Blair, 31, and her 29-year-old boyfriend of just six months were due to exchange nuptials at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina Del Ray, California, but switched locations at the last minute. A source says, "Selma wore a simple gown with no veil." The pal adds that the guest list for the traditional Jewish ceremony "was very small" and included Zappa's sister Moon Unit and brother Dweezil with girlfriend Lisa Loeb.

Pryor Takes on KFC Over Chicken Cruelty

Disabled comedian Richard Pryor has joined animal activists People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals' (PETA) fight against fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). As part of Peta's international campaign to pressure Kfc to crack down on its suppliers' cruel treatment of birds, the animal rights group has created new ads featuring the comic. In the ads, Pryor urges people to join him "in boycotting KFC restaurants until the company agrees to meet PETA's simple demands to eliminate the very worst abuses". Billboards featuring Pryor will run in Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, and a print-ad version will appear in the top 10 African-American newspapers. Pryor is the latest in a growing roster of celebrities who have joined PETA's KFC campaign. Seinfeld star and ex-KFC pitchman Jason Alexander had his contract with the chain cancelled after PETA enlisted him to speak to company executives about the suffering of chickens. And Pamela Anderson publicly offered to meet with KFC representatives on her syndicated radio show. Meanwhile, more than 2,000 protests against KFC have taken place in cities around the world.

Griffith Fears for Mother's Safety

Actress Melanie Griffith fears her mother Tippi Hedren will be the victim of a tiger attack, following illusionist Roy Horn's near-death experience with one of the animals. Hedren, founder of the Shambala Animal Preserve in Acton, California, lives in a cottage on the grounds which have 60 exotic large cats such as leopards, lions and tigers and was once mauled by a lioness herself. A source says, "Melanie was distraught when she heard about Roy. She immediately phoned her mom, who assured her that she is vigilant about security. Melanie still worries, of course." Hedren was injured while filming the 1981 movie Roar, while Griffith herself was grazed. Horn is still recovering after being savaged by one of his own tigers in October during his stage show with partner Siegfried Fischbacher in American gambling capital Las Vegas.

Wahlberg and Hartnett Battle It Out for Johansson

Acclaimed young actress Scarlett Johansson will be pursued by Hollywood hunks Mark Wahlberg and Josh Hartnett in her next film role. The Lost In Translation beauty, 19, has inked a deal to star in upcoming movie The Black Dahlia, which is a fictional account of the investigation in the 1947 real life murder of starlet Elizabeth Short. Johansson will start filming her scenes in Los Angeles this May under the direction of Scarface filmmaker Brian De Palma. Before that, Johnasson will spend March shooting the new Weitz Brothers movie Synergy.
