Colin Farrell To Be a Daddy?

Irish acting hunk Colin Farrell's womanizing ways appear to have finally caught up with him - one of his conquests is claiming to be pregnant with his child. The 26-year-old Minority Report star, who has been linked to a bevy of beauties, including Britney Spears and Demi Moore, has reportedly impregnated a model during his raunchy adventures with women. The New York-based model and Farrell were "friends first" before it became physical, say pals. A source tells American magazine Us Weekly, "She's been going around telling friends she's pregnant and that it's 100 per cent his baby." Farrell, who has admitted to having sex with prostitutes, recently declared, "I've always been a firm believer that causal sex is a f****** good thing. There's far too much fun to be derived from it to be anything but good."
Nicole and Jude Director: Rumors Are Untrue
Nicole Kidman and Jude Law are the victim of "poisonous" lies - according to Anthony Minghella who has spent five months directing the pair in his new film Cold Mountain. Reports of an affair between Oscar nominated Nicole and Jude on the set of the film have been rife, and the sexy couple have been snapped acting intimately. And it has been alleged that it is the cause of a split between Jude and his wife Sadie Frost - but Minghella is convinced that the stories are all untrue. He says, "Nobody seems to care about the facts getting in the way of a good story. There have been so many poisonous things written about Nicole recently. It was a long shoot in austere conditions but there was a great atmosphere on set. All the actors just showed up, put up with terrible weather and privations without complaint. That is a great credit to them." Minghella, who directed The English Patient, believes that the rumors could damage Nicole's chances of picking up an Academy Award. He adds, "She deserves an Oscar. I think at the moment there is nobody better than her. She has made some incredible choices for roles and she is a wonderful actress."
Pregnant Zeta-Jones Set to Perform at Oscars

Heavily-pregnant Chicago star Catherine Zeta-Jones will not only attend the Oscars this month - she also has plans to get up on the stage and perform. The Welsh beauty, who received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role as murderess Velma Kelly in the hit musical, will be a mere four weeks away from giving birth when the ceremony takes place. And Zeta-Jones, wife of actor Michael Douglas, plans to uphold the Academy Award tradition of performers singing their nominated songs when she attends. The 33-year-old screen star and fellow nominee Renee Zellweger are slated to perform "I Move On" from Chicago - but the show's producers are still trying to work out a way for her to sing. Zeta-Jones says, "It's going to be hard given my physical condition."
Eminem Turns Down Oscar Performance
8 Mile Oscar nominee Eminem is boycotting the star-studded Academy Awards ceremony on March 23. The rapper-turned-actor is competing in the Best Original Song category with his smash hit "Lose Yourself" - alongside U2 and Paul Simon. Oscar organizers had been worried about how to handle a live performance by the bad boy rapper because the track includes some strong language. Producer Gil Cates had already vowed to make the star keep it clean, saying, "The Academy Awards show is a show for the family. Obviously we would not knowingly have anything on the show which would be offensive." But Interscope Records has revealed the star is taking a break from showbiz and will stay away from the bash at Hollywood's Kodak Theater.
Brody Urges a Focus Away from Polanski's Controversies

Actor Adrien Brody is urging people to look beyond film-maker Roman Polanski's controversies and just appreciate his work. Brody, who received a Best Actor Academy Award nomination for his role in The Pianist - directed by Polanski - says everybody should look beyond the Oscar-nominated director's past and celebrate his achievements. Polanski fled America in 1977 when he was found guilty of the statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl. And he's set to be absent from the March 23 ceremony in Hollywood, because he still faces the threat of jail if he returns to America. But Brody says, "Roman's very content with his life and his family. What's important is that people differentiate all this nonsense and focus on the achievement of making a film like this and what Roman has given us with a film like this. Nothing should distract people from the purity of that, and unfortunately there's all this discussion about things that are unrelated."
Oscar Organizers: "The Show Will Go On"
Oscars organizers have repeated their vow to hold the Academy Awards later this month irrespective of a war on Iraq - although the "tone" of the bash will change. Producer Gil Gates informed a Beverly Hills, California luncheon - which included nominees Nicole Kidman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sir Michael Caine and Nicolas Cage - that the ceremony will definitely go ahead in a fortnight's time. However, Gates also conceded that if America is at war with Iraq at the time, then the awards in the Kodak Theatre will be altered accordingly. He said, "If we are at war, the Oscar telecast will obviously reflect that reality. It will be reflected in areas that we can control as well as, no doubt, in the parts we can't control, such as your acceptance speeches. The show will go on and our purpose remains the same as it has for 75 years - to celebrate our art form and honor its most accomplished practioneers (sic)." Nominees Daniel Day-Lewis and Ed Harris agreed with Gates' sentiments. Day-Lewis, competing for Best Actor for his performance in Gangs Of New York, commented, "It would seem obscene if we were trouncing up a red carpet grinning and waving while all these people are dying somewhere in the world." The Hours supporting-actor Harris added, "You should still have it but the tone should change. The Oscars are not a political forum but a prayer for peace would be all right."
Kutcher Refuses "Cursed" Superman Role

Up-and-coming Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher has followed Josh Hartnett and Jude Law in turning down the part of Superman - because the role is "cursed." Following the high-profile refusals of the lead character's role in the planned trilogy of superhero movies and reports of unrest on set between director Brett Ratner and producer Jon Peters, Kutcher's views adds further strain to the troubled project. The Dude, Where's My Car? star explains, "There's a couple of things - my television show, it would interfere with the schedule. So I don't think I'm gonna do it, because I'll have to sign up for another year of the show in order to get out on time. It would just kinda set me back more than it would do for me. Also I think there's a bit of a curse behind that role - the things that have happened to people. Also, I think once you've played that role then you're just forever known as Superman. It's kind of hard to play other thing. I have a lot of other characters I'd rather play."
Blake Said Wife Had Been Beaten

Troubled actor Robert Blake banged on the front door of a house in Studio City, Los Angeles, to say his wife had been beaten - it emerged at his ongoing murder case yesterday. Investigator Robert Bub testified that resident Sean Stanek told police he called emergency number 911, upon the actor's request, on the evening of May 4, 2001. Blake's preliminary hearing, which is expected to conclude this week, will determine whether he will stand trial for the murder of his wife Bonny Lee Bakley. His bodyguard is also facing charges of conspiracy. Bub told Superior Court Judge Lloyd Nash that Stanek informed investigators he went to the car where Bakley had been sitting when she was shot, and saw the 44-year-old woman slumped in the front seat, leaning toward the driver's side. She had limited breathing and Stanek noticed blood running from her nose - he also saw what he believed to be a bullet hole on the right side of the victim's head, the detective testified. Bub said Stanek told them he tried to comfort her, then backed away as paramedics arrived. Blake "was shaking like crazy," Stanek told police. According to what Stanek said to detectives, the actor said, "They must have beat her up. They must have done something to her. I knew this was going to happen."
Johnson Denies Customs Rap
Miami Vice actor Don Johnson's representative has denied his client was detained at the Swiss-German border after police reportedly found $8 billion in his luggage. Elliot Mintz has poured scorn on reports Johnson was stopped after German customs officials allegedly found the massive stash of shares, bonds, checks and credit notes in November - and are now looking to pursue a money- laundering case, according to Deutsche Presse-Agentur. Johnson's representative says that his client went through, "a routine border check by customs officials. After a few minutes, they waved the car on." He added, "He does travel with extra cash, but it is unlikely he would have an extra $8 billion. Don has done well for himself, but not that well. If he is under investigation, no one has contacted him." However, U.S. Customs and tax officials have reportedly been informed of the alleged incident by their German counterparts.
Geri Had a Lesbian Fling

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has made a sensational confession about her love life - she once had sex with another woman. The singer - who has had a string of failed relationships with men, including pop hunk Robbie Williams - refuses to reveal the name of her female lover. Halliwell, known in the mega-selling girl group as Ginger Spice, also insists she isn't a lesbian - despite her sexy revelation. She says, "I had a little lesbian thing but I'm not saying anything about it. And I don't think the girl was a real lesbian. I'm being honest. I'm not going to describe it. I realized pretty quickly that I was not a lesbian. I don't mind boobs but the other bit is not my cup of tea. I could never ever say who it was. It was just one of those moments. I think it is just part of experimenting - I was kind of drunk at the time." Halliwell won't elaborate on when this "experimenting" took place, but she hints it may have occurred recently. She says, "It was somewhere between the ages of 16 and 30 (her present age). It was just a drunken moment. I certainly can't remember what I was wearing at the time."
