Baby Boy for Schiffer

German supermodel Claudia Schiffer has given birth to a baby boy. The seven pound baby was delivered by Caesarean section at central London's Portland Hospital, which she checked into earlier Thursday. Schiffer's film producer husband Matthew Vaughn was at the hospital as she underwent the procedure. A spokeswoman says, "Both parents are utterly thrilled at the birth of their first child and both mother and baby are doing very well." She added the baby has not yet been given a name.

J.Lo and Madonna Call a Truce

The feud between superstar divas Jennifer Lopez and Madonna has come to an end - and it took a six-year-old to solve it. The two women had been sworn enemies after J.Lo made abusive comments about the Material Girl's acting ability, which caused Madonna to storm out of a party at the sight of the curvaceous Latina. But at a memorial for late celebrity photographer Herb Ritts, who died on Boxing Day, Madonna's daughter Lourdes brought them together. After Lopez arrived at the event with fiance Ben Affleck earlier this month, she spotted Lourdes and went over for a chat. An onlooker says, "J.Lo spent most of the day telling Lourdes how gorgeous she was. Madonna then heaped praise on J.Lo saying Lourdes never stops singing her song, 'Jenny From The Block.'"

Farrell Dumped Britney

Irish movie star Colin Farrell has already dumped one-night-stand Britney Spears - preferring to booze with his pals instead. Farrell set Hollywood tongues wagging on Tuesday night when he arrived at the premiere of his new movie The Recruit hand-in-hand with Britney. The odd couple partied after the screening, but Farrell left Spears alone when his posse moved on to celebrity Hollywood bar Dublin's. He says, "I haven't spoken to her since. We all moved on to Dublin's and we were trying to drink vodka and tonics at 2.30pm in the afternoon."

Dennis Quaid to Wed Again?

Hollywood beauty Meg Ryan's jilted husband Dennis Quaid is to marry a stunning lookalike who is half her age. Meg, 41, dumped actor Dennis, 48, while she was having an on-set fling with wildman Russell Crowe as they made the movie Proof Of Life two years ago. But when 38-year-old Crowe ditched her she admitted she had made a terrible mistake and begged Traffic star Dennis to take her back. But by then he was already dating blonde Anna Poche, 20 - and now she has told pals, "We're getting married." According to British newspaper The Sun, the former sales girl also showed her hairdresser photos of Dennis, saying, "This is my fiance - isn't he cute?" The pair are said to be inseparable and Anna gets on well with Dennis and Meg's 10-year-old son Jack. A friend says, "It is obvious they are in love. They went to an ice hockey match recently with Jack, and Dennis had one arm around Anna and the other around his son. They looked like a really happy family." News of the engagement will be a double blow to Meg, coming after Crowe announced he was getting wed to Australian singer and actress Danielle Spencer. You've Got Mail star Meg, who has been single for more than 12 months, was married to Dennis for nine years. One Hollywood insider says, "Meg is not getting any younger. She is still one of the most natural beauties in Hollywood. But as the men in her life find love again, she is left on the shelf."

Police Called Out to O.J. Simpson-Daughter Argument

O.J. Simpson's teenage daughter locked herself in her bedroom and called the police after a row with her father. Sydney Simpson, 17, was crying when she made the call on the morning of January 18 and asked police to assist in what she termed "an abuse thing." When they arrived at the home in Miami, the girl told police she and her father "got into an argument over family issues." Denise Brown, whose sister Nicole was married to Simpson, says, "I pray to God every night that Sydney doesn't end up like my sister - dead. O.J. doesn't like strong women and Sydney is a strong woman just like her mother Nicole." Police spokeswoman Nelda Santiuciella said O.J. did not strike his daughter and called the row a domestic dispute. No charges were filed. Simpson was tried and acquitted of murder after the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, but a civil jury later held him liable and ordered him to pay the victims' families $33.5 million. During the murder trial, Nicole Brown Simpson's parents looked after the two children their daughter had with Simpson. In 1996, a judge granted Simpson's petition to give him custody.

Stars Show Off Their Platinum Hearts

Barbra Streisand, Penelope Cruz, Susan Sarandon and Gisele Bundchen have designed platinum pendants for charity. The one-of-a-kind celebrity creations are up for auction on Sothebys.Com, as part of the Platinum Guild International USA's second annual Women With Heart program. Bidding, which runs until February 10, began at $500 to $1,000. More than $120,000 was raised last year. The stars, who also include singer Brandy and actress Christina Applegate, first sketched their pendants then gave them to top platinum jewelry designers to create. Streisand's double heart pendant features cut white diamonds and a pink marquise diamond in the centre. She says her inspiration was: "Flowing lines of art nouveau jewelry and my love of pink diamonds and the remembrance of my mother." Streisand, whose mother Diana Streisand Kind had Alzheimer's disease and died last year, has chosen the Alzheimer's Association as her benefit charity. She says, "I know the pain of caring about someone who is still alive but is forever beyond any meaningful contact."

Rob Lowe's Role in 'The West Wing' Revived

Actor Rob Lowe is set to have a more sizeable role in his hit TV show The West Wing, after pointing out his diminishing lines with a prank. The screen star recently sent a joke milk carton to the show's bosses - illustrated with his face and the words 'Missing: Sam Seaborn' in protest at his character's lack of lines in the show. But with the dwindling ratings the political series is currently scoring, the show's creator Aaron Sorkin has gone back to writing sizeable portions for popular Rob, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. Lowe is set to quit the hit show next month.

'Friends' Cast to Diversify

Friends bosses have decided to add a little diversity to their cast - by bringing in a love interest from an ethnic minority. The hit American TV show has long been criticized for the fact its cast lacks diversity - despite being set in the New York, one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities, all six lead stars are white. Now the sitcom's bosses are set to include a new paleontologist character for several episodes - and she'll be a potential love interest for David Schwimmer's character Ross and Matt LeBlanc's Joey. The show's bosses are making it clear that they want an ethnic minority actress for the role and are currently looking at "all races and ethnicities" say casting sources, particularly African American, Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern and/or American Indian women.

Franklin Faces Forced Testimony

Soul diva Aretha Franklin has blasted Detroit prosecutors who labeled her "uncooperative" in their investigation into a fire at her home. The star is furious that officials are considering issuing a subpoena to compel her to take the stand, and stresses she has been occupied with business affairs every time they have tried to meet with her. She says, "Issuing press releases for television shows and daily newspapers to make me look uncooperative is simply not fair, true, or necessary. My attorneys will be in touch with them." Franklin maintains that she was away from home when the prosecutors initially tried to talk with her about the blaze, which she is not suspected of causing.

Who Legend's Auction Expectation

An sale of late Who legend John Entwistle's prize possessions is expected to fetch £500,000 at auction. The bass player died last year from a heart attack during a cocaine and sex session with a Las Vegas prostitute. Now a collection of his musical memorabilia is set to go under the hammer. Lots include 150 guitars - two of which are expected to raise $33,000 each - stage costumes, pop awards, drawings, jewelry, paintings and rare posters. British auction house Sothebys expected to make a total of $330,000 from the event. A spokesman says, "We're incredibly lucky to be offering so many pieces."
