Hudson Denies Wilson Engagement Rumors

Actress Kate Hudson has denied rumors she is engaged to Owen Wilson. Hudson, 29, was spotted sporting a diamond ring on her wedding finger on Thursday, fuelling speculation the on-off couple is taking their relationship to the next level. The pair met on the set of 2006 movie You, Me And Dupree and were romantically linked later that year after Hudson split from her husband of six years, rocker Chris Robinson. The couple parted ways in June 2007, just two months before Wilson's alleged suicide attempt. And in recent months the stars have seemingly rekindled their love, spending Easter together in March in Miami, Florida. But a spokesperson for Hudson has refuted claims the star is engaged, telling UsMagazine.com, "She's definitely not engaged. She's shooting a movie called Bride Wars, which explains the ring."

Farina Apologizes After Gun Arrest

Actor Dennis Farina has issued a public apology following his arrest for felony weapons possession charges. The What Happens In Vegas star was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday morning after a loaded gun was found in his briefcase. The star was charged with carrying a concealed weapon following the discovery of the .22 caliber, semi-automatic pistol. The former Chicago police officer was released on Sunday night after posting $35,000 bail. Farina says, "I apologize to anyone and everyone that I have caused any embarrassment or inconvenience to. It is my own stupidity to find myself in this embarrassing situation."

Gyllenhaal And Biel Pulled From Movie Over Missing Money

Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel walked off the set of director David O. Russell's new movie Nailed on Friday, after producers failed to show they had enough money to pay its cast. The Screen Actor's Guild will keep all cast members from the movie until the production company shows there is enough money set aside in a union-mandated account. An on-set source tells the New York Times production on the movie is expected to resume this week. It's not the first scandal to strike set of the movie, which was co-written by Al Gore's daughter Kristin - veteran James Caan quit his cameo role last month after a bust-up with Russell.

Hathaway's Boyfriend Avoids Prosecution

Actress Anne Hathaway's boyfriend Raffaello Follieri will not be prosecuted for allegedly writing a bad check, after charges were dropped by the Manhattan District Attorney's office. Italian businessman Follieri was expected to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday following his arrest last month for allegedly writing a check for $215,000 to New Jersey businessman John Morrongiello. Follieri initially claimed the charges were a result of a misunderstanding, but according to Manhattan D.A. spokesperson Tracy Golden, the sum was reimbursed by 29-year-old Follieri and Morrongiello has decided against pursuing the case. This is not the first financial scandal for Follieri, who moved to the U.S. just four years ago. He agreed to pay $1.3 million to settle a lawsuit with billionaire Ron Burkle last month, after former investment partner Burkle accused him of squandering the sum to support himself.

Schwarzenegger Backs Fired 'Ugly Betty' Crew

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has offered his support to angry crewmembers on TV series Ugly Betty, who will lose their jobs when the show moves from Los Angeles to New York. Producers last week made the decision to relocate the set to make the most of new tax incentives on offer in New York. But the move will leave 300 people out of work, including dry cleaners, caterers and construction firms. The disgruntled employees grouped together to take out an ad in Hollywood trade paper Variety, appealing to Schwarzenegger to help stop the loss of more business. Addressing the letter, the governor insists tax incentives have been drawn up - but have yet to be approved by the California legislature. He insists they are a necessity, if the state wants to keep its status as the home of movies and TV. He says, "What happened was productions that shifted to other states, didn't come back to California; they went to Louisiana, they went to Florida, they went to New Mexico because they give great tax incentives."

Aniston & Mayer Enjoy Second Romantic Weekend

Actress Jennifer Aniston and rocker John Mayer have fuelled speculation they are an item by spending a second romantic weekend together. The pair sent gossips into a frenzy after they were seen embracing on a Miami, Florida beach last month. Mayer later hinted the rumors are true - insisting the camera never lies - but the stars have yet to confirm their relationship. And on Saturday, they were photographed enjoying another romantic tryst at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami, Florida. In the photos, Aniston, 39, and Mayer, 30, are sitting in poolside lounge chairs, eating salads and whispering into one another's ears, reports People.com. Later that night, the couple attended the wrap party of Aniston's upcoming film, Marley And Me, at Nikki Coconut Grove, where Mayer shielded the star from the paparazzi as she climbed out of a car. The two reportedly shared kisses at the lounge, where they listened to a DJ play '80s music hits before heading back to their hotel.

Nixon Wants "Rebellious" Gay Wedding

Sex And The City: The Movie star Cynthia Nixon wants to wed her partner Christine Marinoni - because gay weddings are "rebellious." The actress began dating Marinoni in 2004, and rumors surfaced last month the pair would marry later this year in a low key ceremony. But Nixon, 42, admits she's never been keen on marriage in the past - although she would consider wedding Marioni because it would be an act of rebellion. She says, "It (marriage) is something my girlfriend is interested in and it was not something my boyfriend (Danny Mozer, with who she spilt after 15 years together) ever was. I think that to get married to her would be a little act of rebellion. It's like if you've never had the vote and then you get it you're going to run out there and vote. I always avoided marriage in the past and was very wary of it. I felt like it was potentially a trap. People sometimes want the party, the gifts, and the public celebration of this big love - they're excited about that rather than the life commitment. So I always stayed clear of it."

Simpson & Wentz To Wed On Saturday?

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz will wed on Saturday, according to the latest U.S. reports. The pop couple was rumored to be planning a ceremony for this Friday, but now Us Weekly magazine claims Simpson will become Mrs. Wentz on Saturday. The location, time and all other details are being kept a closely-guarded secret. A source close to the pair tells the publication, "Proper invites have not been sent out but guests have been given a save-the-date notice." A rehearsal dinner, for "family and close friends only," will take place on Friday. The couple announced its engagement in April and Simpson is rumored to be pregnant with her fiance's child.

Braxton Delays Las Vegas Stage Return

Toni Braxton's Las Vegas stage return has been delayed again after the singer cancelled a string of shows last month due to a prolonged illness. The R&B singer, who has a heart condition, was set to return to the stage on May 6, but has put off headlining her Toni Braxton: Revealed show for at least another month, according to reports. The star scrapped shows at the Flamingo Las Vegas on April 7 after she was briefly hospitalized with chest pains. The 40-year-old is said to be desperate to get back to the show as her run at the Las Vegas venue is due to end in August. A representative for Grammy-winning Braxton refuses to comment on her medical condition.

Jackson Stops Neverland Sale

Michael Jackson has prevented a foreclosure sale on his Neverland Ranch after a loan on the property was sold to an investment firm. The California estate was reportedly scheduled to be sold off on May 14 if Jackson failed to pay $24.5 million he owed in property taxes - but Colony Capital, a New York-based private equity group, stepped in to buy his loan. A statement from Jackson says the star is in discussions with Colony and its founder Tom Barrack Jr. "with regard to the ranch and other matters." The company is reported to be "very comfortable" holding the loan while it negotiates payment terms.
