Syfy’s Sanctuary will not fly for a fifth season, it was announced on Monday — news that elicited a familiar refrain from series lead Amanda Tapping.

“‘Bloody hell’ indeed,” Dr. Magnus’ portrayer shared via Twitter, not long after the bad news broke. But prior to that, the actress gave kudos to the show’s passionate fans, saying, “We love and adore you. Thank you for the love and support. Now to the long dark tea time of my soul.”

'Celebrity Apprentice' lowest-rated finale yet

12 hours ago | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice live final couldn’t withstand the ABC’s telecast of the Billboard Music Awards.

The three-hour music awards telecast delivered 7.4 million viewers and a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49. That’s tying with Billboard’s lowest-rated telecast ever and down 10 percent this year. Still, it was enough to win the night for ABC.

The two-hour Celebrity Apprentice (6.8 million, 2.2) closer was the reality competition’s lowest-rated finale ever,  down a sharp 27 percent from last year (here’s Dalton Ross’ interview with the winner). Fox’s animation lineup also had its finales, including The Simpsons (4.8 million, 2.1) and a one-hour Family Guy (5.3 million, »

Rules has enjoyed remarkable staying power given its gypsy-like existence. 'Dancing With the Stars': William Levy responds to Len's 'predictable' comment

just now | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

The "DWTS" Season 14 finale was intense and there is no telling who is going home during the show on May 21. Zap2it got a chance to chat with William Levy and his partner Cheryl Burke about their chances and what keeps them going.

Len Goodman called his freestyle "predictable." Levy responds, "You're free to do whatever you want. You're supposed to be free and not supposed to do something that Len was looking for, it's the freestyle and you're allowed to do whatever. He said it was salsa but so what, it's freestyle. We picked salsa, so what?" Burke adds, "And it wasn't even salsa, it was Argentine Tango, Samba, and lifts. Basically that's all it was." Levy jokes, "[Len] was predictable in what he said."

Levy was asked about the competition in the finale. "I think everyone bought their A game," he says. "We didn't get the chance to see »

'Dancing With the Stars': Donald Driver on his mind blowing freestyle dance

28 minutes ago | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Donald Driver blew away the competition during day one of the "DWTS" finale, finally receiving a 10 from judge Len Goodman. Zap2it chatted with Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd backstage right after the show, where he told us all about the dance.

They did some spectacular and dangerous lifts and throws. Driver says it was fun, but a bit wild. "No mats, she's crazy! She's beyond crazy. She told me this week that she was going to throw everything at me and we were going to nail it. She had some lifts in there, that I was like, shaking my head like maybe not, maybe so. At the end of the day, we had to leave it all there and the floor."

The music, picked by fellow pro and last season's champion Karina Smirnoff, was right up Driver's alley. He seemed to be having a blast and certainly appeared »

Lincee Ray: 'The Bachelorette' Recap: An Extra 30 Minutes of Monotony

48 minutes ago | Aol TV. | See recent Aol TV. news »

It takes two hours of sequined ball gowns, gratuitous shirtless scenes by the pool, a bipolar pig puppet and handwritten dreams placed inside a magical clock to really appreciate last week's rapidly moving 90-minute premiere. Emily got them in, sized them up and slapped roses on in no time flat. Week two? Not so much. For some reason, that extra half hour contributed little to the entertainment value of the show. Not even the Muppets could help this train. You'll notice I did not use the term "train wreck." That would imply that the show was messy and crazy and all over the place. On the contrary. It's more like the train you see toddlers driving in the kiddie section of an amusement park. Predictable. Safe. Low energy. In a word? Boring.

'American Ninja Warrior' premiere: Most insane obstacle course ever

54 minutes ago | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

NBC premiered one of its fun summer shows Monday night (May 21) - "American Ninja Warrior," the Japanese import show that puts contestants through an obstacle course that makes "Wipeout" look like elementary school field day.

The premiere episode focused largely on a qualifying event in Santa Monica, Calif, where a group of men (women are allowed to compete, there just weren't any) were put through their paces on obstacles like cargo climbs, the Devil's steps, the salmon ladder and the warped wall. There were only a handful of competitors who actually finished.

Our favorite competitor was definitely Kelvin Antoine, a 53-year-old grandpa of six who didn't finish the course, but dayum - he's 53!

The announcers need a little help - Matt Iseman and Jonny Moseley were doing the play-by-play and at times, we felt like we were watching "Best in Show." In fact, Fred Willard would probably be a better »

Anna Brand: 'Bethenny Ever After' Recap: A Flashback Situation

1 hour ago | Aol TV. | See recent Aol TV. news »

Last week, Aspen was filled with all the alcohol, cougar-flirting and snowboarding you can imagine. Bethenny and Hoppy continued their fight over whether or not he should join the SkinnyGirl cocktail business -- and over her need to impress guys half her age. B and Julie shared an intimate lunch date where they reminisced about the good times and cried tears of agony over Julie's impending departure from the team. Back in apartment land, the crew was still clueless, waiting for B to instruct them at every move. But I know we will get to see the final product before the season comes to close, which means B most definitely went psycho on their asses demanding overtime like they've never seen before.

On this week's episode, Bravo did what every other network does when content is at a lull -- a Flashback Episode. Yes. That will definitely keep viewers entertained for an entire hour! »

Still Lying: How "House" Ended The Series

1 hour ago | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

It would not  be true to the spirit of House to get all sappy at the end – the show didn’t and there’s no reason for us to either. Most of the series’ last hour seemed bizarrely off, not like House at all as he sat in a burning building, visited by the ghosts and hallucinations of friends, employees and cast members past, apparently suicidal enough to stay there. Was Hugh Laurie’s House ever so passive before? I’m not saying I saw the twist coming, (and if you haven’t seen the finale, read the rest of this later), just that the off-kilter scenario seemed a lame, atypical way for the series to end. Sure enough, House had one final, delicious last-minute trick that did a lot to redeem the wrong-headed fiery plot leading up to it. The clue came early on, pre-fire, when House’s team »

'The Bachelorette': The Greenbrier's Love Clock does not chime for one bachelor

2 hours ago | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Before any dates, we get to see "Bachelorette" Emily in her natural habitat (or as natural as it gets on a show like this) - hanging out with the moms of Ricki's friends. That's actually kind of fun, we never get to see this kind of behind-the-scenes stuff of a person's life when the production is in Los Angeles. Too bad it's so short, honestly.

Ryan's Date

The first guy tapped for a solo date is Ryan the trainer with the bad hair. Emily shows up fro the date in a sweater and pants and we agree with Arie - she looks even better that way than all dolled up. With a girl That pretty - the makeup and the fancy dress can be too much. So with just regular hair and less makeup and casual clothes, she's like a freaking knockout. It seriously is kind of overwhelming how attractive she is. »

Crystal Bell: 'Dancing With The Stars' Finals Recap: Country Hoedown Throwdown

3 hours ago | Aol TV. | See recent Aol TV. news »

The battle for eternal Mirror Ball glory on "Dancing With the Stars" has never been this evenly matched heading into the finals. But after tonight's performances, I know who I'm placing my bets on.

If you asked me who I thought was going to be the Season 14 champion in Week 1, I would have said William Levy. He has the full package. (Get your mind out of the gutter, Bruno.) He's incredible handsome, has a rabid fan base and he's not a bad dancer. Sounds like a win-win, right? Wrong.

In the last couple of weeks, William's "shake my hips, show my chest" routine has gotten old. Take his freestyle as an example. It offered little variation from what we've already seen William do. Lo siento, William, but I like my "Dancing With the Stars" winner to show a bit more variety.

Then there's opera singer Katherine Jenkins. Not only is she beautiful, »

'The Bachelorette' episode 2: 'I wouldn't like me either if I were you, bro'

Thanks, Kalon! So far the aforementioned quote is about all the drama we’ve gotten on this season of The Bachelorette, but that’s okay, right? (Spoiler alert if you haven’t seen tonight’s episode.) I’d rather watch the guys get nervous about performing with the Muppets than see them call each other names at the cocktail party — though Doug’s poolside spat with Kalon over what it means to be a dad was pretty entertaining. And though it was probably unnecessary for Emily to make Ryan wear a flowery apron during their one-on-one cookie date, I do »

A Eulogy for 'House,' A Show I Hated and Loved

A Eulogy for 'House,' A Show I Hated and Loved

I used to love House. The DVD set of the show's first season was the first one I ever bought. I watched it faithfully. Hugh Laurie was magnificent as House, his relationship with Wilson was both fun and reliable, and every once in a while, it threw in a really mindbending episode -- take season one's "Three Stories" or season two's "No Reason," for example.

But House passed its prime at the same time his original team (Chase, Cameron, and Foreman) departed. The show was able to remain basically interesting early in the fourth season, which featured House's selection of a new team, and even the fourth season finale managed to be just as mindbending as previous ones. But the show was clearly running out of steam, having to resort to plotlines more extreme than ever before (House electrocuting himself, »

Basketball Wives: 13 Things That Got Under My Skin

No other show that I cover for TVOvermind has put my psychology minor to use like Basketball Wives. This bunch of crackpots has abnormality and psychosis seeping from their pores, so having to write about them on a weekly basis can leave me at a loss in more than one way. A loss of faith in society, a loss of vocabulary able to describe their behavior, a loss of brain cells subjecting myself to awful behavior - I love trashy reality TV as much as the next person, but damn.

Instead of trying to make heads or tails out of this group of people once again, I decided to make a list of 13 things that got under my skin about tonight's episode. You know they're awful, I know they're awful - how about a little shorthand talking about how awful they are? »

'Dancing With the Stars': Donald Driver goes country, finally gets a 10 from Len

3 hours ago | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

For the "Dancing With the Stars" finale, Donald Driver and partner Peta Murgatroyd tackled the Argentine tango and a freestyle. We thought Donald nailed both of his dances, though Len Goodman was still a scrooge with the 10 score until Donald's freestyle. Whoda thunk that Donald would go country and Len would go nuts?

For the tango, Len said, "I liked the intensity of the dance. It was a tad careful," but Bruno said, "You went for the subtle and intimate." However, when Donald let it all hang out on his freestyle, Len gushed, "You came out with a chance... Fantastic" and Carrie Ann declared it her favorite dance of the night.

What do you think, "DWTS"? We've really become Team Donald, so we hope he wins. He ended up tied with William Levy at 59, while Katherine got a 60.

Do you think Donald has a shot? Of course, every finalist is strong, »
