Kevin Ware injury video and photo horrify fans: Louisville player breaks leg during regional finals

31 March 2013 4:45 PM, PDT

During Sunday's Midwest regional final game against Duke, Louisville Cardinals guard Kevin Ware suffered gruesome broken leg.

After attempting to block a 3-point shot by Duke's Tyler Thornton, Ware fell, and broke his leg. Early reports suggest a compound fracture of both his tibia and fibula. His bone was protruding from his skin on the court, horrifying fans and teammates, as well as the opposing team.

Ware's teammates Chane Behanan and Russ Smith were visibly emotional, sobbing on the court, and Coach Rick Pitino could also be seen crying. Before being removed from the court, Ware spoke with his teammates and Pitino. He was then transported to the nearby Methodist Hospital. According to a University of Louisville spokesman, Ware's pain is under control and he will likely have surgery tonight.

Photos, video, and animated gifs of Ware's terrible injury spread across the web like wildfire. Zap2it is choosing not »

Lindsay Lohan plans new album and 'Letterman' appearance - Rehab, what rehab?

31 March 2013 1:32 PM, PDT

Lindsay Lohan's paid appearance contract for John John Denim in Brazil may not include hiding under tables at nightclubs, but it apparently includes doing local press. During an interview with Caras magazine, Lindsay reveals she is working on her next album, more than seven years after the release of her last, "A Little More Personal (Raw)."

"I just started writing last week actually," Lohan says. "Yeah, I just started writing." In answer to an inaudible question off-camera, Lohan replies, "You'll see. It's good though." Lohan says she'll finish the album in New York "because I live there now. So I'll be in New York recording." Maybe LiLo forgot that she is actually scheduled to enter rehab in New York for 90 days. Perhaps she is going to one of those imaginary lockdown rehab facilities that houses a recording studio. Who can say?

Happy Easter from Lindsay Lohan, Justin Timberlake and more celebrity tweeters

31 March 2013 12:20 PM, PDT

On Easter Sunday, celebrities did what they do best and tweeted out greetings appropriate for the holiday. Some messages were spiritual, some were candy-related, and some were self-promoting (i.e. Happy Easter, now buy my album or watch my show).

Still other celebs focused on the Easter Bunny, with emojis, chocolates, and fuzzy rabbit ears. Geri Halliwell, who previously tweeted about her chocolate bunny pooping golden eggs, sent the following update to her loyal followers: "The rabbit did not poop choc eggs , there wasn't a big enough gap btwn bf and lunch , I feel sick , ate too much mince."

Paris Hilton, as she will, tweeted a photo of herself wearing bunny ears with her arm around rapper Snoop Dogg. Paris captioned the photo, "The Easter Bunny chilling with @SnoopDogg. Happy Easter everyone!"

Google Doodle ignores Easter in favor of Cesar Chavez' birthday

31 March 2013 11:27 AM, PDT

Google caused a bit of controversy on Easter Sunday (March 31) by using its popular "Google Doodle" design to honor the 86th birthday of late American labor leader Cesar Chavez, rather than the Easter holiday. The search giant frequently changes the look of its homepage to mark special occasions.

Google recently honored the birthday of late sci-fi author Douglas Adams ("The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy") and has commemorated such events as the anniversary of the "Star Trek" series premiere. Doodles have also honored Earth Day, Leap Year, Father's Day, Christmas and Hannukah.

So when the Easter Sunday Google Doodle was unveiled and internet users discovered Google ignored the holiday altogether, many were up in arms, promoting a Twitter hashtag trend, #GoogleMottos. Here are some sample tweets that used the hashtag:

Chris Loesch @ChrisLoesch"Jesus, I'mma let you finish but Chavez had one of the greatest stories of all time." #GoogleMottos

Justin Bieber to be prosecuted for violent fight with neighbor - report

31 March 2013 10:32 AM, PDT

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. wants Justin Bieber prosecuted on criminal battery charges stemming from a fight with his neighbor in Calabasas, Calif. that allegedly turned violent.

Bieber's neighbor claims the "All Around the World" singer spit on him, dropped the 'f'-bomb, and threatened to kill him. The dispute started when the neighbor confronted Justin over his reckless driving on their neighborhood street. Bieber's team argues the heated exchange never got violent, but a bodyguard reportedly had to restrain the Biebs in the scuffle.

This is just the latest in a series of events the Sheriff's Dept. feels represents a pattern of reckless disregard for the law -- from drug use to multiple fights, making threats, racking up speeding tickets and constant reckless driving. Sheriff's deputies want Bieber to get professional help, and say famous or not, the Biebs is headed down a "dangerous path." Law enforcement tells TMZ »

Geri Halliwell: Orgasms, bunny poop, and more 'disgusting' tweets from Ginger Spice

30 March 2013 3:06 PM, PDT

Geri Halliwell, aka Ginger Spice, got tongues wagging when she attached some major T.M.I. to a birthday greeting on Twitter. A fan tweeted the 40-year-old Spice Girl asking for a 30th birthday wish, and Halliwell obliged. "Happy birthday! Don't tell anyone, i had my 1st worthy orgasm at 30," she writes.

If you're wondering if that means "Ginger Spice" never in fact spiced up her life, it does indeed. Halliwell turned 30 in August 2002, more than four years after she initially quit the girl group that made her famous. There's plenty more information we didn't ever need to know about Halliwell that she gladly shares on Twitter. For instance:

"Don't tell any one I just scooped last bit of choc spread out of jar, then i licked the knife ... I'm disgusting :)"

Box Office: 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' muscles 'The Croods' out of top spot

30 March 2013 12:33 PM, PDT

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson single-handedly wrestled the top spot at the box office Friday from Fox's "The Croods." Ok, perhaps Channing Tatum and Bruce Willis had a little something to do with it. For instance, if this was a hockey metaphor, Tatum and Willis would get the assist in Johnson's score for "G.I. Joe: Retaliation."

Either way, team "G.I. Joe brought in $15.5 million for Paramount Friday, adding to its Thursday opening numbers for a total domestic gross of $26 million. "The Croods" came in a distant second with $10.7 million, followed by "Tyler Perry's Temptation" at $9.4 million for Lionsgate (despite Kim Kardashian's wretched reviews for her role as a marriage counselor). "The Host," based on "Twilight's" Stephenie Meyer's sci-fi novel, opened in fourth place with $5.5 million, and "Olympus Has Fallen" fell to fifth with $4.8 million.

Justin Bieber's monkey confiscated in Germany

30 March 2013 11:42 AM, PDT

Justin Bieber had to give up his pet monkey when he landed in Germany for a stop on his "Believe" tour. Authorities took the monkey into custody at Munich Airport when Biebs hit up the customs line without the proper paperwork for his pet.

The monkey, which was reportedly a gift from music producer Mally Mall, was put into quarantine while Bieber went on his merry way performing for fans in Europe.

The Biebs hasn't had the best of luck with pets lately. His hamster Pac died earlier this month after Justin gave it away to a fan in December. He quickly came under fire for animal cruelty because the California Hamster Association claims sudden changes to a hamster's environment can cause the little animals to die. Now, let's see which animal rights group gets up in arms over this whole monkey situation.

With Justin's constant touring schedule, perhaps it's »

Lindsay Lohan under table at nightclub in Brazil looking prrreettty wasted

30 March 2013 10:29 AM, PDT

Lindsay Lohan  was snapped sitting under a table on the filthy floor of a nightclub in Brazil, looking a sloppy drunken mess. Wearing a cutoff t-shirt and sparkly mini skirt, LiLo looks like that friend in college you always regretted taking with you to a party, as she cups her forehead in her hand.

A local clubgoer posted the photo to Twitter with the caption, "In party in Sao Paulo, Lindsay Lohan refuses to take pictures and hides under the DJ table." Hmm ... why on earth would Lohan not want to be photographed partying at a nightclub? Ever since Lindsay struck a plea bargain in Los Angeles that will send her to rehab for 90 days to avoid jail time for lying to cops and violating her probation, she has been spotted living it up at nightclub after nightclub.

It's been reported Lohan intentionally scheduled her rehab stint to begin after the Coachella music festival, »

Jeremy Renner and Sonni Pacheco welcome baby girl Ava Berlin Renner

29 March 2013 9:13 PM, PDT

Jeremy Renner and his girlfriend, Sonni Pacheco, are the proud new parents of a baby girl, Ava Berlin Renner. A rep for the "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters" star tells Us the 7 lb. baby was born Thursday (March 28). "They are beyond thrilled," says the rep of Renner and Pacheco. "Mother and daughter are doing great."

Since Renner's rep refers to Sonni as Jeremy's "girlfriend," that must mean pregnancy brought them back together. Us previously reported the pair had gone their separate ways after dating casually, until Renner found out Pacheco was pregnant and moved her into his home.

Now that she's officially coupled up with Jeremy and a baby makes three, perhaps Sonni can give up her career as a wet t-shirt girl and energy drink promo girl. Yes, indeed. Before becoming Jeremy Renner's baby mama, Vancouver-born Pacheco was best known for her turn as "Splendid Wet T-Shirt Girl" in 2009's straight-to-video classic, »

India Arie: 'Skin lightening? Lol' - 'Cocoa Butter' singer calls the rumors a joke

29 March 2013 8:56 PM, PDT

India Arie sparked some pretty ridiculous controversy on the web when she released the promo cover for her new single "Cocoa Butter." The famously Afrocentric R&B singer was criticized for appearing to have a lighter complexion. While some suggested the image was altered, others went so far as to suggest Arie has chemically lightened her skin.

TMZ posted an image contrasting the promo shot with a recent performance photo and argued, "India approved the photo, and Had to notice it wasn't a true reflection of her skin color." Which, frankly, begs the question: So, what?

Arie has a good sense of humor about the situation and took to Twitter to respond to the criticism:

"Personally speaking! i'm happy to say I have Not Bleached my skin Lol!  Rotf at the thought."

"1. I wouldn't endanger my health that way 2. i'm so in love with myself I have no Desire  to Bleach myself. »

Kourtney Kardashian considering being a surrogate for sister Khloe

Khloe Kardashian hasn't hidden that fact that she and husband Lamar Odom have faced some obstacles on their road to parenthood. In a preview for the season finale of "Kourtney & Kim Take Miami," sister Kourtney offers to be "the oven for her bun."

Given the go-ahead from boyfriend Scott Disick, Kourtney approaches Khloe and tells her, "I just wanted to say that if you did need someone to carry your child that I would volunteer my services. I would do that for you."

After checking to make sure she's serious, Khloe answers, "That's very nice of you, but you don't think that's a little awkward?"

In a confessional moment, Khloe tells the camera, "I think it is very sweet that Kourtney offers to have my baby in her small uterus," before freaking out. "Eww."

Will Khloe take her sister up on the offer? Only time will tell.

Victoria's Secret protest planned by the Mommy Lobby over Pink line of clothing

29 March 2013 3:35 PM, PDT

Victoria's Secret stores may have quite a bit more traffic than normal on April 6, but they shouldn't expect it to generate a bunch of sales. A group called The Mommy Lobby is organizing a protest against the store due to a new ad campaign, Fox News reports.

The campaign, dubbed "Bright Young Things," promotes the company's Pink line of clothing. The line includes shirts, shorts, and swimsuits, as well as a selection of underwear with slogans like "Call Me" and "Dare You." The ads feature younger women wearing pieces from the collection, while at the beach. Mommy Lobby CEO Cindy Chafin feels the campaign is marketing to girls who are too young for the clothing, saying, "They are free to run their product. We totally get that, but I think there comes a point where there are boundaries." She adds, "Our daughters are not sex objects. We really want them »

Jim Carrey blasts Fox News for 'irresponsible buffoonery' and being a 'media colostomy bag'

29 March 2013 3:16 PM, PDT

If you pick on Jim Carrey, you can expect a stern mocking. That's what Fox News -- or as Carrey says, "Fux News" -- is finding out.

On Friday (March 29), Carrey issued a statement in response to the conservative news network's coverage of his Funny or Die video. The anti-nra stance of "Cold Dead Hand" and Carrey himself have both been ridiculed throughout the week.

Now, Jim Carrey is ready to fire back.

On Monday (March 25), Carrey (singing with a back-up band called the Clutterbusters, apparently made up of Gandhi, John Lennon and Abraham Lincoln) released the "Cold Dead Hand" video. The song made fun of anti-gun control stances in general and Charlton Heston (a former president of the NRA and the source of the quote used in the song's title) in particular. Obviously, a lot of people were going to get mad.

Lindsay Lohan takes wardrobe from 'Anger Management' set, claims she paid for it - report

29 March 2013 2:44 PM, PDT

As if Lindsay Lohan's reported nightmarish behavior on the set of FX's "Anger Management" wasn't enough to deal with, the troubled actress also walked off with a veritable laundry list of items from her wardrobe, though she insists she paid for them.

TMZ reports that Lohan admits to walking off the set with two bracelets, a necklace, sunglasses, a pair of shoes, gold earrings, a silk bathrobe, lingerie, and tap shorts, but she claims that the wardrobe person was aware and told Lindsay the cost would be taken out of her paycheck.

Lohan's friends tell the site that she has no plans to return the goods.

Of course, sources from the Charlie Sheen comedy are singing quite a different tune. Their version of events? Lohan plundered the set and left with her bounty before there was any discussion about whether it was all right.

The wardrobe person allegedly told »
