Mad Men: 8 Burning Questions About Season 6

5 April 2013 2:43 PM, PDT

Grab your fedora and pour yourself an Old Fashioned — Mad Men is back.

After weeks of speculation over the meaning of teaser trailers and (possibly) Easter egg-filled posters, the AMC drama launches its sixth — and likely penultimate — season with a two-hour premiere (Sunday, 9/8c). Season 5 ended with Don (Jon Hamm) giving in to the acting desires of his new bride Megan (Jessica Paré) and helping her get a part in one of the agency's commercials. As Don literally and figuratively left Megan behind at the soundstage to seek solace in a whiskey glass, he was approached by a woman at the bar who asked, "Are you alone?"

Exclusive Mad Men Season 6 trailer: "The next thing will be better"

While we've pondered Don's response to that query in the intervening months, we've also crafted a few more burning questions about what might be ahead for the men and women of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce (and Peggy! »

Dancing's Derek Hough: We're Surprised We Got the Top Score

5 April 2013 1:09 PM, PDT

Hey there!

How's everyone doing? Thanks for all your votes!

I'm actually not with Kellie right now. She's in Las Vegas, so we're losing a day and a half of rehearsals! I didn't go with her because I'm working on a special performance for Tuesday's results show. It's with someone awesome and I'm really psyched about it. It's not a "known" guest, but it's someone with amazing spirit. I hope you ...

For a new Pepsi promo, present-day Beyonce has a dance off against past versions of herself. Because why use backup dancers when you can use even more Beyonce?!

5 April 2013 6:12 AM, PDT

Snag it, bag it, tag it... just don't miss it! Syfy's Eddie McClintock-Joanne Kelly chemistry extravaganza known as Warehouse 13 is coming back on Monday, April 29 (10/9c) to finish up its fourth season with a blast of mind-blowing action, and we've got your first look in this teaser trailer.

"We obviously have to deal — in a major way — with what Artie's been through and what happens to him, having killed Leena," executive producer Jack Kenny told us after last fall's mid-season cliffhanger, hinting at even more tragedies to come. "There are many other versions of mortality that we're going to deal with in the next 10 episodes." So let's all cross our fingers that season-premiere guest stars James Marsters, Lindsay Wagner, Kate Mulgrew, Roger Rees and Polly Walker and can help Pete, Myka and the rest of the team find a cure for that sweating sickness epidemic Petey accidentally »

The Weekend Playlist: Mad Men, Vice, Vegas' New Night and Melissa McCarthy on SNL

5 April 2013 6:12 AM, PDT

It's only natural for AMC's Mad Men to be consumed with thoughts of mortality as it heads further into the turbulent late '60s in its sixth and reportedly next-to-last season of existence. A year ago, the central set piece in the premiere was a surprise birthday party. This time, it's a similarly eventful wake. And that's not the only way in which Sunday's two-hour opener (9/8c), written by series creator Matthew Weiner, drives the death-comes-to-us-all theme home with such sledgehammer relentlessness and obviousness that for the first time, I began to think maybe it is time for this beautifully crafted series to start thinking about giving up the ghost. There's no denying the importance of a show that manages to win four well-deserved best-drama Emmys in its first four times at bat — I didn't hesitate to include Mad Men among the Top 10 in a recent "60 Greatest Dramas of All »

5 April 2013 6:12 AM, PDT

The TV-movie (premiering Saturday at 8/7c) follows Rebecca Mayer (Loughlin) and her daughter on a college road trip, which takes a turn for the worse when Mayer's overprotective instincts kick in. Mayer is desperate to keep her daughter safe from a perceived threat, but will she go too far? Loughlin gave us the full report on her dark role — think guns, detectives, missing bodies and car chases — the 90210 series finale, and, of course, her oh-so-infamous television hubby, John Stamos.

Top Moments: Conan and Chelsea Are Naked, Everyone on Walking Dead Is, Well, Dead

4 April 2013 7:01 PM, PDT

Our top moments of the week:

14. The First (Hair)Cut Is the Deepest: On The Mindy Project, our fearless heroine develops a crush on a cool pastor who unfortunately finds her to be a little self-absorbed. To show him how altruistic she is, she volunteers to treat the inmates at a women's prison, but when she gives one woman candy and a pashmina, it incites a riot, during which Mindy loses a giant chunk of her hair.

13. Most Heartbreaking Finale: We know we're supposed to root for Raylan on Justified, but it's Boyd and Ava's unhappy ending that hits home on the season finale. After forces conspire to separate Boyd and Ava as they're stealing Delroy's body from the funeral home (no body, no murder charges!), Ava ends up getting arrested. With his fiancée being carted off to jail, Boyd breaks into the couple's dream home and stares longingly at the backyard — and the. »

Game of Thrones: The Trouble with Joffrey

4 April 2013 6:15 PM, PDT

Game of Thrones' Joffrey Baratheon is horrible, despicable, cowardly ... and some fans adore him.

Most people will agree that Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) is one of the most villainous characters currently on television. That's saying a lot, coming from a series that brings a healthy dose of lies, backstabbing and murder every Sunday (9/8c, HBO). But what divides fans of the show is how they feel about this evil character. Let's examine the reasons why people either love or hate him:

NBC's Hannibal: Not Just Another Serial Killer Show

4 April 2013 11:51 AM, PDT

In a year that's already given us Fox's The Following and A&E's Bates Motel, some might argue that we don't need another serial killer TV show. And they'd probably be right.

But NBC's Hannibal isn't just another serial killer show.

Spring Preview: Gets scoop on all the must-see new shows

Taking characters from the Thomas Harris novels that inspired a film series that includes Manhunter, The Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon, executive producer Bryan Fuller (Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies) has created a sophisticated drama that doesn't glorify the violence of mass murder but rather examines the toll that hunting serial killers takes on the minds and souls of those who hunt. In fact, even though the show is named after Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who was immortalized as one of the greatest pop culture villains of all time thanks to Anthony Hopkins' Oscar-winning portrayal, the series — at least »

The Thursday Playlist: Delectably Weird Hannibal, A New Girl First Date

4 April 2013 6:43 AM, PDT

You can't help but get a deliciously squirmy tingle when the infamous (to the viewer, anyway) Hannibal Lecter quips, "It's nice to have an old friend for dinner" while serving tongue to his guests, including an unctuous and chatty shrink whom Lecter sizes up by coolly noting, "Your tongue is very feisty."

This scenario takes place several episodes into the midseason run of NBC's feverishly twisted, fascinatingly macabre and visually remarkable procedural-with-a-twist Hannibal (Thursday, 10:01/9:01c), by which time I was completely creeped out and thoroughly hooked. In much the same way A&E's Bates Motel introduces a younger version of Norman Bates before he had his crazy mama mummified in the cellar, Bryan Fuller's Hannibal presents the mad Dr. Lecter before his secret identity as a cannibalistic serial killer is known to anyone but his victims. He is caginess personified, taking on the role of advisor and »

Glee’s Graduation Plan: What Should the McKinley High Seniors Do Next?

3 April 2013 9:25 PM, PDT

What gives Glee? This time last year on the Fox musical comedy, all anyone at McKinley High could talk about was graduation. Will Rachel get in to Nyada? Will Kurt get in to Nyada? Are Brittany and Puck actually going to graduate? And what the heck does Finn want to do with his life? But with only five episodes left this season — Glee returns next Thursday, April 11 at 9/8c — there's been nary a mention of D(iploma) day. Unfortunately, the New Directions' Class of 2013 is apparently too busy singing and spit-swamping to worry about what will happen to them after high school. Lucky for Blaine, Tina, Artie, Brittany and Sam, TVGuide.com has already masterfully carved out their next moves...
