Twentieth Century-Fox released the latest kick butt new movie poster for the upcoming film “Max Payne” by director John Moore (Virulents, The Omen) and starring Mark Wahlberg (The Brazilian Job), Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges and Ludacris. Synopsis: Coming together to solve a series of murders in New York City are a DEA agent (Wahlberg) whose family was slain as part of a conspiracy and an assassin (Kunis) out to avenge her sister’s death. Blindness movie poster 9 featuring Alice Braga

Alliance Films released another cool character photo of Alice Braga for the thriller “Blindness” by director Fernando Meirelles (City of God) and starring Julianne Moore (The Private Lives of Pippa Lee), Mark Ruffalo (Shutter Island) and Alice Braga (Crossing Over). This monochromatic movie poster features actress Alice Braga as the woman with the dark glasses. Plot: A doctor’s wife becomes the only person with the ability to see in a town where everyone is struck with a mysterious case of sudden blindness. Josh Brolin Is Jonah Hex?

Hollywood Elsewhere is reporting on rumors that are confirming Josh Brolin will star in Warner Bros’ big-screen adaptation of the legendary Western comic character, Jonah Hex, to be directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. Warner has no comments on the rumors, and Brolin’s representative is denying that there is any truth to the rumors at all, though Hollywood Elsewhere claims their source has the deal being “locked down” sometime last night. The source also claims that the script is a mix of CGI and Western action. Hex, a DC Comics character, was first created by writer John Albano and artist Tony DeZuniga in the 1970’s, and is known for his anti-hero elements and heavily-scarred face. Tesla Hits The Road

Multi-platinum rockers Tesla, Jeff Keith (vocals), Frank Hannon (guitars), Brian Wheat (bass), Troy Luccketta (drums) and Dave Rude (guitar) begin their “Forever More” tour this coming Wednesday, October 1 (yes, it Is October already) at The Depot in Salt Lake City. Tour is named for their seventh studio album, Forever More, set for release October 7 on Tesla Electric Company Recordings (in partnership with Ryko Distribution). “I Wanna Live,” the new album’s first single, is accompanied by a video featured on the band’s site, aptly named, teslatheband.com where new updates are posted daily. Simon Pegg to Pen Memoirs

British actor Simon Pegg has signed a $1 million ($1.8 million U.S.) deal with publishers Hodder + Stoughton to write an autobiography plus two more books. A spokesman for the publishing house says, “Pegg writes for us but somehow the films appeal to America too. He is our biggest export. What We Do Is Secret On DVD November 4th

Peace Arch Entertainment has announced a release date for the DVD release of the Germs biopic, “What We Do Is Secret”. The disc is due out on November 4, 2008. The movie tells the story of Darby Crash, born Jan Paul Beahm, the band he forms with friends in the late 1970’s La punk scene, and his five-year plan to become famous from it. The Germs first broke onto the California punk scene with their first single, “Forming/Sexboy”, in 1977, and are sometimes credited for being the forbearers of the “hardcore” punk movement of the 1980’s with their loud and fast dissonant sound.
