'American Idol': Why Revealing the Top 3 is a Ploy to Send Lazaro Arbos Home
5 April 2013 3:54 AM, PDT
It's no secret that there's producer manipulation on American Idol. One of the biggest instances every week is what is called the pimp spot -- the person who performs last is usually a contestant the producers want to make sure stays on. That's just one example. And it looks like another one popped up just last night during the Top 7 results show, and it involves Lazaro Arbos. »

'Scandal' Recap: One Step Closer to the Mole
4 April 2013 2:48 PM, PDT
The episode was titled "Molly, You're in Danger, Girl," but the title could've been changed to any of the following characters: David Rosen, Huck and Quinn, and even Olivia. This episode is on overdrive, as we start with tying up loose ends over the CIA director's suicide -- until it turns into murder. It ends with Olivia in the hospital. »

'Grey's Anatomy' Recap: Which Doc Is Stunned By The Truth?
4 April 2013 2:27 PM, PDT
Defying all of the odds and conventions which usually rule the medium of television, Grey's Anatomy is on a roll. The show, which is currently in its ninth year (yes, I said ninth), is firing on all cylinders heading into the final stretch of the season. On the heels of last week's excellent "Can't Fight This Feeling" comes "She's Killing Me", an outstanding episode written by one of my favorite Ga scribes, Debora Cahn. In it the theme of truth and all of its repercussions is explored and by the time it was all over, the ground was crumbling beneath the feet of a beloved character. »

'Project Runway' Recap: No T-Shirts, No Pants, No Service
4 April 2013 1:07 PM, PDT
After being sent home last week, Richard isn't so warmly welcomed back into the competition. Tonight on Project Runway: Teams, the time has come for the finalists to shine on their own, with a little help, of course.
Richard and four other lucky eliminated designers will assist those still in the competition with a challenge geared toward the wants of Nina Garcia and Marie Claire magazine. »

'Hannibal' Recap: The Golden Ticket
4 April 2013 1:00 PM, PDT
The character of Hannibal is a well-known cannibal from the novels and several movies including the most famous Silence of the Lambs. Instead of focusing on Dr. Lector, the television series is centered around his muse of sorts, Will Graham. In the premiere "Apertif," both Graham and Hannibal are introduced while working on a case and it's the beginning of an odd partnership. »

'American Idol' Results: The Male Elimination Tetralogy
4 April 2013 9:30 AM, PDT
Part IV: A New Hope. Long, long ago (January) in a galaxy studio far, far away (Hollywood), the evil empire American Idol fought back against the bounds of gender equality. But then, with the entire universe facing the perilous possibility of going six straight seasons without a female winner, five brave lady Jedi Knightesses (Yes, I make up words) stepped forward to save the Republic and restore order to the planet.
Last week was part III of the "Which guy is going home?" trilogy, and this week will surely continue the saga (thus the tetralogy). And for all you nerds out there, I fully expect this series to become a pentalogy. Then, sadly, it must end, because there just aren't going to be any guys left. »

The Ultimate 'Mad Men' Drinking Game
4 April 2013 3:32 AM, PDT
Can?t wait for Mad Men?s sixth season? Join the club. Since creator Matthew Weiner has continued to be notoriously tight-lipped about the direction for the upcoming season, who knows what will happen when the show returns. So why not celebrate the way the gang at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce would, with a drink? Pick your poison, whether it?s the old-fashioneds Don Draper prefers or something more innocuous like a Shirley Temple. Then refer to this list of Mad Men-isms when the new season starts and drink the night away!

'Arrow' Recap: The Count and Vertigo Are Back
3 April 2013 2:43 PM, PDT
What happens when the enemy can't be taken out by an arrow? What happens when the enemy is a substance that turns good people into monsters? What's a vigilante to do?
Arrow opens on a busy night at the club and lots of beautiful people rubbing up against each other on the dance floor. Then there's a girl, a young and pretty girl, who is clearly having a little too much fun. She's high. The kind of high that makes you stare at your hands with intense fascination. She spends so much time looking at her hands that she doesn't realize she was wandered into a busy street and Boom, she gets hit by a taxi. »

'Survivor: Caramoan' Recap: The Merge Leads to the First Huge Blindside
3 April 2013 1:30 PM, PDT
Survivor Caramoan has been a domination by the Favorites and a massacre on the helpless Fans. You'd have thought maybe a tribal switch would have changed things up, but the exiting of Fans just continued at a quick rate. This season has enough giant egos that want to be on top that there always could be a chance for someone to sneak in. If any episode is going to have a big shocker, "Blindside Time" sounds like the perfect one. »

In the season's 18th episode, "Restoration," Morgan's past is re-visited thanks to a case that hits close to home. In part, tonight's episode is a follow-up to season 2's "Profiler, Profiled" -- arguably one of the show's best episodes. Will "Restoration" live up to the quality of its predecessor? Read on to find out what the minds behind Criminal Minds have in-store for us this week. »

'American Idol' Recap: The Ballad-less Top 7 Sing Classic Rock
3 April 2013 12:00 PM, PDT
America complained, and American Idol listened. After weeks and weeks of mostly mind-numbing lullaby ballads (or ballabys, as my word-inventing self has decried), the Top 7 are rocking out. The theme this week is "Classic Rock, No Ballads," probably in an effort to keep the audience awake.
The choice should prove very interesting for a few of the contestants, which is good because the ever-predictable results haven't been lately. After finally making an appearance in the final 3, Lazaro Arbos Should be going home this week. And that is irregardless of how he sings, though classic rock in general doesn't lend itself to his particular brand of (sorta) talent anyway.

'How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life)' Review: As Funny as the Title Is Long
3 April 2013 12:33 AM, PDT
Let's get this out of the way first: How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life) is a terrible title. It's about seven or eight syllables too long and it doesn't even shorten well (cutting it down to How to Live with Your Parents doesn't sound much better).
However, it's a good sign when a horrible title is a show's only real problem. The comedy itself, premiering Wednesday, April 3 at 9:30pm on ABC, is funny and touching with a terrific cast of comedy all-stars. »

'DWTS' Week 3: D.L. Hughley's Unlikeable Video Could Send Him Home Next Week
2 April 2013 10:00 PM, PDT
On Tuesday night's results show we get to see who was voted Prom King and Queen and who was left sitting at home. Who goes home with the girl and who gets rejected?
There was a bit of tension revealed between a contestant and judges on the show Tuesday night amidst all the singing and dancing. We also got to see one of the judges get out on the dance floor for a surprise performance, which I must say ended up being more entertaining than Demi Lovato or Huey Lewis and the News' performances. All in all, "Prom Night" turned out to be an interesting couple of shows for week 16 of Dancing with the Stars. Keep up with all the results by downloading the BuddyTV guide app for your phone now. »
