After almost two months of negotiations, SAG-aftra has reached a tentative deal on its commercials contracts with the advertising industry. The union and the Joint Policy Committee have been negotiating since Feb. 14 and had to extend talks past the original March 31 deadline. Early on Saturday they announced a tentative deal had been struck. The deal, details of which haven’t been released, now goes to the National Board of Directors for approval at its April 20-21 meeting. After the board approves it, the package will be sent to the membership for ratification thereafter.
