After first reporting to a federal prison in December 2010, actor Wesley Snipes has been released. He's not free to return to his everyday life just yet, though. Instead, Snipes was transferred to the New York Community Corrections Office, TMZ reports. The office will be in charge of overseeing his home confinement.
Snipes will be under house arrest for the remainder of his sentence, ending July 19. He was originally convicted of tax evasion in 2008, after being charged with failing to file tax returns from 1999-2001.
