It's no secret that we weren't particularly satisfied by the series finale of "Gossip Girl" this season... but could a feature film help resolve some of the issues we had with the conclusion?

Rumors spread early this year that series star Blake Lively was blocking a potential movie from being made, because she was "desperate to avoid" reprising her role of Serena Van Der Woodsen.

 Star said that Lively's co-stars, like Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick, were "infuriated" by her decision not to sign on to expand the "Gossip Girl" franchise to the big screen.

Not so fast!

Turns out, those rumors were completely false. Lively's rep tells Gossip Cop that there was never a movie in the works in the first place -- or, if it was, Lively wasn't let in on the plans. Lively "was unaware there was even a 'Gossip Girl' movie" to turn down. »
