Remakes. Some are decent, some are great, some are downright bad. Everything under the sun is being remade these days, and it seems like that trend isn’t going away anytime soon, so I guess we can all just hope for the best. Stephen King’s debut novel Carrie was first adapted to the screen by Brian De Palma in 1976, and has had a couple of really bad sequels/sub-par TV remakes since then.

Coming this October, MGM/Screen Gems will release their brand new Carrie remake, directed by Kimberly Pierce and starring Chloe Grace Moretz (Kickass, Let Me In) and Julianne Moore (Children Of Men, Hannibal). Judging from the trailer that hit the internet today, it looks pretty promising. What do you Fright Fiends think?
