There aren’t a lot of movies that really take us by surprise, but this was one. Not that we thought it was going to be great, but with Steve Carell (who I like generally), Jim Carrey (who can be hilarious), and a decent helping of talent surrounding them, we expected… something.
That really isn’t what we got though… something. At this point, anything would have been nice.
A string of gags sewn together in the quickest, most slipshod fashion, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone’s best feature is the eerie self-reference it makes about a “show” being knocked out by people who don’t care anymore.
Give a listen below, we’re fairly confident that we’re more entertaining than the movie itself… you know, just kind of by default.
And, don’t forget that you can win every movie we review this year! Check the sidebar for the details. »
