Another day, another piece of childhood ripped away from those nostalgic for the 1980s. Having a Y chromosome, it wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but I am sure that many a girl will begin weeping as it has been announced that Hasbro has sold off yet another one of its toy's film rights, this time being Jem and the Holograms. With Stretch Armstrong, Ouija Board, Candyland, Battleship, Clue, and Monopoly all headed out in the next few years, the news exactly exactly shocking. (I'm still waiting for the Lincoln Logs movie, however). As of now, relatively unknown Chinese director John Chu is, at least temporarily, attached to the project, as is High School Musical Scribe Peter Barsocchini, according to Pajiba, though it is not yet known whether Barsocchini will write the script or merely produce. Is there going to be anything in this movie that wasn't said in Spice …
