There were many stopovers during filming of new gangster flick Public Enemies. The production team for the Johnny Depp/ Christian Bale crime epic journeyed across America’s Upper Midwest taking in the real-life haunts of 1930s bank robber John Dillinger and transforming others to match their historic counterparts. One such place given the showbiz lick of paint was Columbus in Wisconsin (more on this tomorrow in our locations feature), where shooting commenced in March of last year and now one local store owner is tapping into this Hollywood connection by going vintage with some retro 1930s goodies…

The production team picked up period props and costumes while residing in Columbus, specifically the Columbus Antique Mall & Museum and the site’s owner Dan Amato has now fashioned a display and sale of treasures in the Public Enemies mould.
