It would indeed be glorious news if this were true, and the way the speculation has mounted over the past several months it certainly seems to have more validity than ever.

Chud is speculating, based on several different sources, that an Arrested Development movie is more or less an eventuality. Now, we have to be careful: There has been no official announcement made by Ron Howard or Mitchell Hurwitz, and you'd think that's where it would have to come from. However, the Bluth men, particularly Michael (Jason Bateman) and George (Jeffrey Tambor) are not exactly ducking from the rumors in the current rounds of press duties.

Bateman, in an interview with the Times of London, says that a film version is planned for 2009. At least that's the subtext. He does say, however, that the show was subject to a number of possible interruptions that would distract you from the quick-fire,
