James Tamburino is a New York based Author, Screenwriter, Producer and Creative Executive represented by Brooklyn Weaver and Energy Entertainment, Tadross Media Group, and literary agency Don Congdon Associates.
As a graduate of Towson University with a degree in Creative Writing and English, Tamburino's most recent work includes writing a slate of screenplays and treatments for film and television, including John A. Gotti's WITSEC Mafia T.V. series, The Curse of the Clown Motel - a feature film horror thriller starring Tobin Bell, and most recently, working as an Assistant Writer to legendary Director, John McTiernan, to pen a feature film screenplay. Additionally, he was hired to craft the treatment for the Kurt Angle biopic and also to write the script for upcoming action drama feature, The Ranch, starring Angle and Randy Couture. Furthermore, Tamburino has co-written a gritty family sports drama feature, Honor, which is currently in pre-production. He has also partnered with former National Hockey League All-Star, Bobby Ryan, to pen his inspirational true story of triumph into a published memoir, screenplay and series. In 2020, Tamburino was hired by LA Lakers President, Jeanie Buss, to co-write a screenplay and TV series treatment based on the true story of Roller Hockey International - the first ever professional roller hockey league.
Grateful for his years of experience as an Assistant to Producer, Michael Tadross Jr, while pursuing a writing career, Tamburino was given the opportunity to then become a Creative Executive for Tadross Media Group, overlooking various submitted scripts and project concepts, while providing coverage and assisting with several productions. Operating alongside Tadross on the day-to-day within the film and media company, amongst several other businesses, became a full-time education which has ultimately led to Tamburino's first Producing roles as well.
Dating back to 2010, the writing career began when Tamburino had the opportunity to write a High School Lacrosse themed screenplay, Senior Year, which was then produced into a documentary DVD in 2011. In 2012, he was hired by TMG to write a feature length screenplay, Mermaid Avenue, an action-drama biopic based on tattoo industry legend, Crazy Philadelphia Eddie.
