“Dancing with the Stars” spared its contestants from an elimination on Disney Night, but how many went home on Halloween Night? Was it a bloodbath? If so, who did the grim reaper of the ballroom claim as its next victim — or victims? Follow along below with our live blog for all the minute-by-minute developments as they happen.
The first four celebs eliminated from the competition were all women. Another woman sent home would have made history as the first time one gender has suffered the first five eliminations in a given season. So Evanna Lynch, Mary Lou Retton and Alexis Ren had to watch their backs.
But so did Joe Amabile. He was also on the verge of making history with the most last-place judges’ scores for a single contestant. But was he finally on the verge of elimination? He was never even in jeopardy in previous weeks, demonstrating the...

After tricking DeMarcus Ware and Alexis Ren with an elimination fake-out last week, “Dancing with the Stars” will try to bring more scares with Halloween Night on Monday. But will anything be more frightening than Grocery Store Joe dancing? Probably not. The nine couples will perform a jazz, Argentine tango, salsa, tango, paso doble, jive or contemporary routine, after which… well, we don’t know. ABC has made no mention if Monday will be a double elimination to keep us all on our toes, but we know one of the two doubles this season has to occur in the next two episodes since there is supposed to be six couples in the semifinal on Nov. 12. Halloween Night is the perfect time to drop a ruthless double elimination, but most people are expecting it, so Tptb could hold it off for another week.

Grocery store Joe Amabile from Bachelor in Paradise made his Dancing with the Stars debut on Monday, Sept. 24, and it was definitely a sight to see! The 31-year-old from Chicago, Il, danced the Quickstep to “Fish out of Water” by Leo Soul with his partner Jenna Johnson. Watch the video below to see Grocery store Joe’s first DWTS performance! While Bachelor Nation loved Joe’s moves, it looks like the judges didn’t exactly agree. Joe and Jenna earned a 14/30 — which ended up being the lowest score of the night! Whether you loved it or hated it, you’ve gotta appreciate his efforts to incorporate his grocery store into the mix. The duo’s performance opened with them pushing two shopping carts down a ~fake~ supermarket aisle, and it was too cute. Joe’s Bip girlfriend Kendall Long seemed to love it because she was rooting for her man all night.

The two-hour season 27 premiere of “Dancing with the Stars” is on Monday, September 24 and will air live on ABC beginning at 7 p.m. Ct/8 p.m. Et. Each of the lucky 13 celebrities is hoping to waltz off with the mirror ball trophy at the end of the 10-week run of this reality competition series. To do so, they will have to win over America and get enough votes each week from viewers and the three judges — Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli — to continue on in the competition.
There will be an extra episode of “DWTS” on Tuesday, with the 13 couples again taking to the floor. One couple will be eliminated based on their scores from the judges for both nights as well as their total in viewers’ votes.
To ensure that it isn’t your favorite who is sent home, you need to vote online at dwtslivevote.
