Match #1: “Hangman” Adam Page def. Wheeler Yuta
My Thoughts: This was a hard-hitting, well-fought match that at once showed that Adam Page is really ready for his rematch against Jon Moxley And that Wheeler Yuta has actually learnt from his time with the Blackpool Combat Club – Yuta kept his high-flying moves in play but backed them up with the more “strong style” work of Moxley and Danielson. Which actually meant that this was probably the best tune-up match Page could’ve had going into this week’s Dynamite!

What better way to usher in the festive season than bodyslams and superkick parties? All Elite Wrestling will be serving up a big helping of both during its “Holiday Bash” and “New Year’s Smash” shows closing out 2022. The festivities begin during the December 21 of Dynamite with match five in the “Best of Seven” between Death Triangle and The Elite, as well as Jamie Hayter’s first women’s title defense against Hikaru Shida. Rick Ross is also meditating a face-to-face between Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland. For Tony Khan, this time is about celebration, reflection, and looking to close the year on an impactful note. The enthusiastic founder couldn’t be happier about what the company has been able to accomplish. For this entrepreneur, the truth is in the numbers. Here Khan runs us through the data. He also opens up about the accomplishments, challenges, and future of Aew.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which is another stacked 10-match card And a live audience thanks to being taped in DC… On with the review!
Match #1: Lance Archer def. Alec Odin
My Thoughts: Two matches in a row for Archer, this was even more of a squash than his Elevation match this week! Odin did get a move or two in but this was very much Archer’s match.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Penelope Ford, Serena Deeb and Jamie Hayter def. Jordan Blade, Trish Adora and Brittany Blake
My Thoughts: I was totally surprised to see that this match Wasn’T a squash – as it certainly looked like it would be on paper. Thankfully this instead was a well-fought, competitive match – one that really showcased the trio of heels to perfection.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #3: Hikaru Shida def. Marina Shafir
My Thoughts: Well colour me shocked!

It’s Toni time in All Elite Wrestling. The popular Toni Storm became Aew interim women’s champion by defeating Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and Britt Baker at September 4’s All Out. The match came after the New Zealander’s original opponent and incumbent title holder Thunder Rosa was sidelined with an injury. Storm, who left WWE late last year in hopes of more opportunity, is looking to show what she can truly do with the proverbial ball. Next up for the champ is another four-way challenge against Serena Deeb, Athena, and Baker during the special September 21 episode of Dynamite Grand Slam from Arthur Ashe Stadium. For Storm, it’s a huge night with a big stage to solidify herself at the top of the mountain. “I’m going to go into this confidently,” the Kiwi told TV Insider. “I’ll be walking out still champ ready for the next.

Another episode of Aew: Dark and another short post-Double or Nothing show. After yesterday’s 20-minute Elevation we get a sub-30 minute episode of Dark And another title defence for Mercedes Martinez! Taz and Excalibur are joined by Caprice Coleman on commentary for the matches this week!
Match #1: Roh Women’s Championship – Mercedes Martinez def. Viva Van
My Thoughts: The veteran Mercedes Martinez faces yeat another “green” wrestler in Viva Van, who only has three years under her belt compared to Martinez’s 21 years in the business! This was a patented (by me) Aew quasi-squash match, with Van given a little room to get some offence in before being dominated by Martinez. Better than Martinez’s Elevation match.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: The Butcher & The Blade def. Hunter Grey & Paul Titan

Match #1: Lee Moriarty def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Nice to see Serpentico back in singles action and nice to Not hear too much from Luther in his corner. As I’ve said before, Serpentico is great as a singles competitor though he had some really stiff competition in Lee Moriarty, whose skill and Taiga style eventually got the better of his opponent.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Abadon def. Danni Bee
My Thoughts: Another squash match for Abadon, this time against a debuting Danni Bee. As I said last week, seeing Abadon obliterate her opponents in a solid squash is so satisfying!

Welcome to the first of this weeks Aew reviews, Aew Dark: Elevation, which kicks off the wrestling week for us here at Nerdly. As always I’m editor Phil and let’s get straight into the review!
Match 1: Riho def. Angelica Risk
My Thoughts: I expected this to be a swift squash match for Riho on the road to her match against Jamie Hayter later this week but that was not what we got. Angelica Risk was actually a decent opponent for Riho, matching Riho’s speed with her own strength – with a running hip (really butt) shot on Riho in the corner that looked vicious.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match 2: Brock Anderson, Lee Johnson & Dustin Rhodes def. The Wingmen
My Thoughts: A solid trios match that saw Dustin Rhoides outclass everyone in the match in the brioef time he was in the ring. As I always say,...

Nick grabbed Punk’s ankle and ref Paul Turner saw enough and ejected The Factory from ringside. Qt caught Punk with a knee to the abdomen. Qt followed up with forearms to Punk. Qt was taken off his feet with a back elbow from Punk. Qt Marshall taunted the crowd and then put a neck crank on Punk. Cm Punk reversed an Irish whip from Qt and then clotheslined Qt over the ropes. Punk flew off the apron with a lariat to Qt on the arena floor!

Welcome to this review of Aew’s Full Gear, which looks to be yet another huge pay per view for All Elite Wrestling – with matches featuring Bryan Danielson, Miro, the Inner Circle, American Top Team, Britt Baker, Tay Conti, The Lucha Brothers, Ftr, Mjf, Darby Allin and Two highly-anticipated matches between Eddie Kingston and Cm Punk, and Kenny Omega versus ‘Hangman’ Adam Page… And we get some wonderful tributes to the legend that was Eddie Guerrero too!
The Buy-in: Match #1: Hikaru Shida & Thunder Rosa def. Nyla Rose w/Vickie Guerrero & Jamie Hayter
My Thoughts: Thunder Rosa and Hikaru Shida used their size and agility really well in the early going of this match to take down Nyla Rose. However Rose’s size worked to her advantage and she tagged in Jamie Hayter and flipped the match giving the duo supremacy… At one point it was shown Serena Deeb was...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dynamite which continues the build to this weekends Full Gear pay per view with a handful of matches and a contract signing between ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Kenny Omega to close out the show!
Match #1: Bryan Danielson def. Rocky Romero The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Danielson knocked Rocky off his feet with a shoulder tackle. Romero transitioned to an arm bar but Bryan grabbed the rope. Rocky elbowed Danielson in the turnbuckles. Rocky sent Danielson through the ropes, using Danielson’s own momentum to get the upper hand. Rocky followed up with a tope suicida on Danielson. Danielson rallied back with swift kicks rocking Rocky Romero in the corner. Danielson placed Rocky in the Romero Special. Rocky rolled out, fighting Bryan off. “The American Dragon” charged at Rocky but Rocky countered with a spinning Ddt! “Big Money” Matt Hardy was watching Orange Cassidy from ringside.

Welcome to this review of this weeks episode of Aew: Dark, I’m editor Phil and this weeks episode of Dark is Not from Aew Universal, instead this was filmed on the road in St. Louis and the larger crowd definitely makes a difference. Oh, and we’re back to nearly two hours of wrestling this week too!
Match #1: The Gunn Club def. Dark Order
My Thoughts: You’ve got to feel sorry for the Dark Order having to give up a winning streak to the Gunn Club of all people. I have no idea why Aew is insisting on having Billy Gunn and his two sons have an undefeated streak – it’s not like they’re remarkable wrestlers, they personify the midcard/jobber role perfectly and Dark Order are way above that station; and they have great skills to back that up. Uno, Reynolds and Cabana made this match work.

Welcome to this week’s Aew: Rampage review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I vote me…to kick my ass! Ow! Take that me! Ow! You son of a bitch! Rampage starts now!
[Author’s Note: Darby Allin, who’s been accused of rape, is on this show and if that alarms or upsets you, then viewer discretion is advised]. Match #1: Andrade El Idolo (w/ Chavo Guerrero) def. Pac The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
The Verdict: 8 out of 10 – This was a damn good match. It was worth waiting for. Both fighters worked well together and delivered the kind of fast, aerial action that blended the more modest kind of wrestling that you might find in a WWE match with the raucous mayhem many were expecting. Measured is a word I’d actually attribute to this bout. You get equal parts stunts and strikes being mixed into this Poop Deck Pappy.

Welcome to this week’s Aew: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this whole league has gotten a shot of life in the last few weeks, hasn’t it? Cm Punk, Ruby Soho, Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson have brought the rush of energy this league has desperately needed. It feels like big things are happening here. Speaking of which, Jon Moxley fights Minrou Suzuki in the main event. I’ve got a good feeling about this show. Let’s get to it.
Match #1: Malakai Black def. Dustin Rhodes The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Dustin charged at Malakai Black and took him down with a kick to the head. He followed up with kidney punches and then a German suplex. The action spilled outside the ring where Dustin stalked Malakai Black. Dustin’s momentum came to a screeching halt when Black suplexed Dustin through a ringside table!

Welcome to this week’s Aew: Dynamite review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the fallout from Cm Punk’s official arrival into Aew. He’s All Elite! Wouldn’t it be better to just call him Elite? Calling every new signing All Elite is bad grammar…Kelsey Grammer. Scrambled eggs! On this show, we have a bunch of matches I don’t remember and Malakai Black fighting Brock Anderson, because Tommy End still wants to mooch off of his mediocre WWE run instead of investing in his fantastic run before the WWE. If I were Tommy, I’d be less obsessed about my failed WWE run and more intent on getting people to ask if I had wrestled somewhere before the WWE under a different name. Well, since I am about to go out on a date with Dave Thomas from Sctv, I think...
