Locally-produced war film Sacrifice topped China’s box office last weekend (October 30-November 1), according to figures from Artisan Gateway, grossing a further $28.6m for a cumulative total of $105.8m.
Co-directed by Frant Gwo, Guan Hu and Lu Yang, the film was produced to celebrate the 70th anniversary of China’s entry into the Korean War. The three-day weekend gross included $1.6m from 670 IMAX screens.
