Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and my ass’s name is Humidity, because it sweats and smells bad. I’m excited for this week’s show, because I already forgot which one it is. Come along with me on a journey…to find the prick that came-up with that phrase. A journey?! What is this, King Arthur’s Bitchin’ Trip To Cabo? Arthur: Lancelot! Bringeth the tanning lotion! Me: What a terrible joke. Why did you tell me to do that? You suck ass. Shut and read the review. I’ve got your nose bitch!

You hit a ball into a f—kin’ gopher hole when the little f—kers are on vacation. Ya don’ need a lawsuit now do we?! Then, you yank the ball back out and walk over to another hole and f—kin’ do it again. After you’ve done it eighteen times, whether there’s enough holes or not, you go back to a rich guy’s house and get f—ked up. If they try to throw you out, then just beat the s—t out of them with the golf club. That’s how baseball should be played! Screw givin’ the next guy the bat! Match #1: Dave Mastiff def. Joseph Conners – Heritage Cup First Round Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Two of Nxt UK’s hardest hitters clashed in exactly the fashion one would expect, exchanging hard strikes throughout, though no falls were scored until the third round. Dave Mastiff became the first Superstar to win a Heritage Cup bout via knockout, as he blasted Joseph Conners with a massive right hand to put him on dream street and advance.
My Opinion: 2.7 out of 5 – This was a lot of stalling, but it was vigorous stalling,...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the big Battle Royal for a UK Title shot, so let’s…are hush puppies just quiet dogs or lazy dogs?
Match #1: Kay Lee Ray & Jinny def. Piper Niven & Dani Luna The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the opening matchup, Nxt UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray joined forces with Jinny against Piper Niven and up-and-comer Dani Luna. In the final moments, The Fashionista neutralized Niven by hurling her into the steel ring steps. She then delivered a hard right to Luna from the apron and paved the way for The Scary Queen of Scots to hit the Gory Bomb on Luna for the victory.
My Opinion: 2.8 out of 5 – Overall, this wasn’t half bad. There’s some fine wrestlers in here, but the match…I don’t know.

I’m Nathan Favel and we have…Jake Roberts says that Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were just fighting over Sunny the whole time, but how would a crack-head know anything besides where to get the good s—? It’s funny to listen to these old bastards pick on the more successful guys and critique how they didn’t “draw money”, when there are so many factors in place that prevent even the biggest stars from actually drawing money. Nxt UK has a few stars in it, but doesn’t seem to be doing well enough as a brand all its own. Is it the wrestlers’ fault that Nxt UK isn’t raking in millions a week? I’d argue that no name could ever turn this into a league all its own, because this is just a...

Match #1: Grizzled Young Veterans def. The Hunt The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After making some disparaging comments at the expense of Wild Boar & Primate two weeks ago, The Grizzled Young Veterans found themselves in an all-out slugfest against The Hunt. Despite the tag team aggression of their animalistic opponents, the first-ever Nxt UK Tag Team Champions rose above and hit Ticket to Mayhem for the three-count.
My Opinion: 3.2 out of 5 – This turned out pretty well.

Aoife Valkyrie made an impressive Nxt UK debut, besting Amale with an earth-shattering leg drop off the top rope to the back of her opponent’s neck. Valkyrie has arrived!
My Opinion: 1.8 out of 5 – This was a lame match and bad debut for Valkyrie. What a shame…and short too.

Match #1: Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan def. The Hunt The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan returned to Nxt UK for the first time in almost a year to take on The Hunt. In the height of the very physical matchup, Wild Boar missed the splash on Burch as he crashed onto the ringside floor. Seconds later, Lorcan hit Primate with a devastating forearm as the animalistic Superstar was leaping from the ropes. This opened the door for a 2-on-1 big impact Ddt for the three-count.
My Opinion: 2.6 out of 5 – The right guys won a simple, light match that was a nice demo for some of the winners better moves.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Booker T said some sexist s— about Tessa Blanchard’s Impact World Title run being the dumbest thing in Impact Wrestling history. Somebody’s big, black ass is sleeping on the couch tonight, ain’t it? Ronda Rousey could kick Steven Segal’s ass, no problem. Hell, Amanda Nunes could only beat Ronda in a cage with all the rules in place. Try sending that flavor of the month Nunes (who I like) to fight Ronda on the street instead…whole other story. I’m ramblin’, but watching this brand gets me thinking about all that foolishness from Booker T, because there are an awful lot of people, male and female, who don’t have the typical look of Vince McMahon’s kinda wrestler and they are getting the same bull-s— argument from...

Match #1: Dave Mastiff def. Kona Reeves The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Prior to the first Nxt UK matchup of 2020, Nxt’s Kona Reeves took to the mic to blame everything in sight for his loss to Trent Seven several weeks ago. But when Kona turned his words to Dave Mastiff, “The Bomber” made him pay with a hard blow that sent his outspoken opponent to the canvas. Although the nefarious Reeves fought back with an earth-shattering assault, the dominant competitor sent his prey Into the Void for a big three-count.
My Opinion: 2.6 out of 5 – This was…enough. Mastiff looked like he was trying to eat Kona the whole time. El Pescado.

May 29, 2014. The date of the very first Nxt TakeOver show. Man… that was over five years ago, and in the time since that show aired live in the WWE Network, we’ve seen so much change. Not just in Nxt, but in WWE in general and in the world of pro-wrestling. Going back to that first show highlights not only how much has changed, but how far Nxt as a brand has come. It’s about to go live every week on the USA Network as a two-hour show, head-to-head with the first potential wrestling competition to WWE in years, Aew. The landscape of wrestling is different now. Going back, for the sake of this article to watch every Nxt TakeOver show was no small undertaking. There’s been 26 (28 including the UK TakeOver shows) of them to date. Still… I’m a huge fan of Nxt and it’s hardly...

Welcome to this review of Nxt UK: TakeOver – Cardiff, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some fine wrestling to get to here, so let’s get right to it.
Match #1: Noam Dar def. Travis Banks The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Although Travis Banks missed the inaugural Nxt UK TakeOver in Blackpool after being attacked by Jordan Devlin back in January, The Kiwi Buzzsaw journeyed to Cardiff ready to take full advantage of the big TakeOver stage against the outspoken Noam Dar. In the early moments of an explosive contest, Banks seemed to injure his shoulder as well as his knee, and Dar attacked the weak spots like a shark that smelled blood. But the resilient Banks battled through the pain, opening the door for both skilled competitors to leave it all on the mat with an inedible display of high-octane offense that produced near-fall after near-fall.

After scoring a hard-fought victory against Aston Smith with a Nova Roller in the opening contest, The Scottish Supernova informed the WWE Universe that he will be at Nxt UK Takeover: Cardiff, but it remains unclear just who the outspoken competitor may face at the Aug. 31 event on WWE Network.
