Netflix is parting ways with two of its freshman dramas.
The streaming service canceled Partner Track and The Imperfects.
Partner Track launched on August 26 but failed to garner much traction.
The series followed Ingrid Yun (Arden Cho), a 1st generation Korean American and the first lawyer in her family, who experiences the trials and tribulations of excelling at the prestigious (but old school) law firm, Parsons Valentine.
Bradley Gibson (Power Book II: Ghost), Alexandra Turshen (Ray Donovan), Dominic Sherwood (Shadowhunters), and Rob Heaps (Good Girls) also starred.
The cast was rounded out by Nolan Gerard Funk (The Flight Attendant), Matthew Rauch (Banshee), and Roby Attal (The Haunting of Bly Manor).
Unfortunately, the series ended on a big cliffhanger, meaning it joins the ranks of Netflix's other one-and-done series that failed to get conclusions.
Also canceled is The Imperfects.

Netflix’s upcoming romantic dramedy series “Partner Track,” set at a Manhattan-based white-shoe law firm, has been described as “Sex and the City” meets “Suits,” but for star Arden Cho the series is unlike any other that she’s seen on television. That’s because the story centers on a first-generation Korean American merger and acquisitions lawyer, Ingrid Yun (Cho), as she navigates everything from forbidden romance to microaggressions at the male-dominated company — something Cho said is hard to come by in shows about single 20-something women in New York City.
“Ingrid just sticks out to begin with,” Cho told TheWrap. “She is an Asian American woman, and there is some diversity at the firm but it’s very clearly noted. You’ve just got, ‘Oh, we’ve got a couple of people of color. Let’s stick them together, and that’s your diversity,‘ which is something we see happening in the world.

To celebrate the DVD release of Hell Fest which is available on DVD and Digital now, we have a copy of the DVD up for grabs, courtesy of Vertigo Releasing!
Strap in for the ride of your life and death! A terrifying tribute and modern twist on classic bloody slasher fun, Hell Fest is the perfect treat for anyone who doesn’t want Halloween to end! Paying homage to our favourite slasher films of the ‘80s, Hell Fest is an exhilarating fever pitch of bloody chaos, played out across a lush neon playground where danger, and the next gruesome (and surprisingly inventive) kill, waits around every corner!
More than just a stylish setting, the theme park’s lavishly constructed labyrinth of grim attractions become characters in their own right, as we join the hapless teens in fearful suspense of what may simply be part of the festivities, or something more sinister.

Hell Fest is the latest simplistic, conventional, horror film from the depths of the money-grubbing Hollywood machine. Helmed by director Gregory Plotkin, only his second feature after highly successful stints as an editor on numerous productions, ranging from Jordan Peele’s Get Out to the Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams comedy Game Night. Plotkin is most noticeably and well known to have been a longtime series editor on the long-enduring and softly effective Paranormal Activity franchise, even helming the fifth entry Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, with little to no acclaim or credit. Shockingly high concept for its astonishingly low budget, Robert Rodriguez’s “Red 11” was never meant to see the light of day, but turned out so well that the director opted to share it with the public as a kind of empowerment tool. Make no mistake: The thriller — which takes place in a medical research lab where young people sell their bodies to science, at a price — is a clunky, badly acted, and frequently embarrassing by-the-numbers picture at best, held together with shoestring and paper clips, but that’s almost beside the point.
Debuting at SXSW just weeks after Rodriguez’s most expensive production yet, “Alita: Battle Angel” (and shot over 14 days during post-production of that project), “Red 11” was inspired by the unorthodox way Rodriguez made his Sundance audience award-winning debut, “El Mariachi,” and designed to prove that resources are irrelevant when it comes to teaching oneself how to make movies,...

This attempt at a retro slasher flick has no sharp edges whatsoever.
The most interesting aspect of Hell Fest is its setting: a rather large and labyrinthine horror amusement park of sorts, full of mazes and attractions and costumed employers all in the service of scaring the pants off the customers. The exhibits and rides are all elaborate and detailed, in keeping with the increasingly extravagant events that pop all over the country this time of year, making one beg the question: why watch this movie when one can find a real-life horror show to slink through instead?
The truth is, even if you don’t have any such destination near you, there is really no reason to watch Hell Fest anyway. Ostensibly a throwback to the glory days of slasher movies (circa the 1980s), Hell Fest is too calculated in its objectives, missing the grittiness and nastiness of the...

Eye candy without much to offer the brain or emotions, “Hell Fest” is a competently crafted slasher film rendered instantly forgettable by its disinterest in character, plot, and motivation, let alone original ideas. An early Halloween salvo, it will be gone from theaters before that holiday (or even the latest screen “Halloween”) arrives, but should in the short term satisfy that seasonal itch among horror fans before bigger, better fright-fests arrive.
After the obligatory prior-victim’s-fate prelude, we meet the film’s college student protagonists, who are young and cute but not much else. Natalie (Amy Forsyth) reunites with ex-roomie Bff Brooke (Reign Edwards) — the movie suggests there’s some reason why they haven’t seen each other for a while, but never gets around to explaining it — while less enthusiastically renewing acquaintance with Brooke’s irksome new flatmate Taylor (Bex Taylor-Klaus).

Halloween is right around the corner. The season for creepy costumes, pumpkin carving, and candy collecting is nigh. Above all, it’s the season for haunted hayrides, menacing mazes, eerie escape rooms, and spooky spectacles. These attractions are more popular now than ever. Forbes reported on the numbers: Halloween spending reached $8.4 billion in 2016, and it was estimated to reach $9.1 billion last year, so the timing is perfect for a big-screen horror film that’s set almost entirely in an amusement park on All Hallows’ Eve.

A serial killer is on the loose and brutally murdering people in a horror-themed traveling amusement park in this new red-band trailer for Hell Fest. What makes this film so interesting is that the people who are being hunted down think that all of these killings are fake and all part of the show... at first. Then reality kicks in and they are fighting to survive!

Folks love those Halloween-themed amusement parks — the ones where ghouls dart out of the shadows and monsters lie in wait to scare the bejeezus out of their quarry. But what if a maniacal killer decides to up the realism factor to 11 while the patrons it’s all part of the show?
Here is the first teaser trailer for Hell Fest, in which just a creepy scenario plays out. The logline: College student Natalie (Amy Forsyth) is visiting her best friend Brooke (Reign Edwards) and her roommate Taylor (Bex Taylor-Klaus). It’s Halloween time, so the trio and their boyfriends — like everyone else – are headed for Hell Fest, a sprawling labyrinth of rides, games and mazes that travels the country and happens to be in town. But for one visitor, Hell Fest is not the attraction: It is a hunting ground, an opportunity to slay in plain view of a gawking audience,...
