The cast list for James Gray’s latest, sci-fi adventure, Ad Astra is gathering quite a cast with the announcement of the one and only Donald Sutherland now set to appear alongside Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, and Ruth Negga.

Stepping into an undisclosed role, Sutherland will join the story which centers on space engineer Roy McBride – played by Brad Pitt – taking on a voyage of our solar system to find his father who, 20 years previously, embarked on a one-way mission to Neptune looking for any signs of extra-terrestrial life.
