In the week leading up to the Grand Finals, Washington’s Allen Stone was the predicted front-runner, according to Gold Derby odds. The Grammy-nominated folk singer was the recipient of the national jury vote thrice — first in the qualifiers, then in the semi-finals, lastly in the finale — thanks to his feel-good song “A Bit of Both.” However, he was upset on finale night by Oklahoma’s AleXa, our second place choice. While Stone was a favorite of the jurists, AleXa secured more viewers’ votes and thus claimed a well-deserved victory.

Usually “American Song Contest” reveals the results of America’s votes from the previous week in the first few minutes of the following episode. That’s why, for the first time ever, NBC is changing up its results format. The second group of Semi-Finalists, who duked it out on the big stage on Monday night, will find out their fates on “E! Pop Daily” on Wednesday morning at 8:45 a.m. Pt. Updated: Here is the complete list:

An Edm legend turned the American Song Contest into a Vegas nightclub. Before the glow sticks came out, however, results from the April 4 episode were revealed. Tennessee's Tyler Braden earned the jury's automatic semifinal spot last week, leaving three spots to be filled by the combined jury and fan vote. Former R5 boy band member and Dancing With the Stars runner-up Riker Lynch, representing Colorado, was the first to punch his ticket. He was followed by Alabama's Ni/Co and Texas' Grant Knoche. The results left Grammy-nominated songwriter Jewel on the sidelines, but two redemptions will come at the end of the qualifying rounds. So, all hope is not lost for the "Foolish Games"...

Monday night on “American Song Contest,” Jewel was eliminated after failing to earn enough votes from the viewers and the national jury. The four-time Grammy nominee and recent “The Masked Singer” winner performed her uplifting original song “The Story” last week on NBC’s reality TV show, but it failed to connect with viewers. Heads up: even though she’s saying goodbye for now, Jewel still has a shot of returning to the program as a wildcard. How does it work?
As revealed in earlier weeks, there will be two “redemption” artists invited back to the show during the Semi-Finals round. “Show ’em love by streaming their music,” host Snoop Dogg said last week, implying the two eliminated acts who earn the most downloads will be the ones that return.
Jewel is in good company. One week ago, Macy Gray was eliminated from “American Song Contest” following her performance of her original tune “Every Night.

During Week 3 of “American Song Contest,” the jury of 56 industry professionals ranked the 12 original songs from first to last, with Tenneesee’s Tyler Braden advancing to the semi-finals thanks to his tune “Seventeen.” The most famous singer on the docket was Alaska’s Jewel, a four-time Grammy nominee and recent “The Masked Singer” winner. However, her uplifting song “The Story” (watch above) failed to connect with the jury, coming in ninth place in their rankings. Don’t give up, Jewel fans — she’s not out of the competition just yet.
The audience at home now gets to weigh in with their votes, which will be tabulated alongside the jury rankings. Vote by visiting the “ASC” website directly, or by using the NBC App or TikTok. If Jewel gets enough support from the 56 states/territories, she will be able to overcome the low jury rankings. Three participants will advance based on...

During the third week of NBC’s “American Song Contest,” the national jury was tasked with ranking 12 original songs (as opposed to 11) from first to last. At the end of the April 4 episode, hosts Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg announced the results: Tennessee country singer Tyler Braden was ranked the highest by the jury of 56 industry professionals, so he moved on to the semi-finals. Tyler’s original song, “Seventeen,” was a soft, reflective melody about a couple looking back on their lives. Watch the performance above.
The fate of the other 11 participants now rests in the hands of You at home. Your voting results will be tabulated alongside the jury rankings — it’s a complicated process — to determine which three acts will join Tyler in the semi-finalists. Here they all are in order of the jury rankings:
1. Tyler Braden (Tenneesee) sang “Seventeen”
2. Ale Zabala (Florida) sang “Flirt”
3. Ni/Co (Alabama...
