As the second season of Invasion draws near its end, questions just keep piling up, and characters start acting increasingly erratic due to the relentless pressure and threat imposed by the alien assault. Some big revelations are made by the end of the eighth episode, titled Cosmic Ocean, but the issue of pacing continues to plague the series, as at times the episodes act like filler in the narrative whole.
In the previous episode, by risking her life, Mitsuki was able to decode alien language from the hive mind entity in the Amazon project. At Oklahoma, Trev and Rose were able to reach the epicenter of the first alien assault, at Ben Shelton’s farm, which they found to have become a fortified military camp—Project Idabel. One of the most expected Disney+ series is definitely ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ The fans were excited when Marvel Studio revealed that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio would return as Daredevil and Kingpin for the upcoming show. The release date of the show was moved later due to writers’ and actors’ strikes in Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean that people involved in the project cannot speak about them.
As we mentioned, writers and actors’ started the strike earlier this year, and it seems that it won’t stop anytime soon. Of course, this means the artists and other people working on those projects are regularly on the streets, demanding their rights and better pay, and recently, the reporters of ‘The Wrap’ stumbled upon one of the writers for ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ Molly Nussbaum.

Perhaps it’s coincidence, or serendipity, but two of the best-reviewed shows on television happened to both return at the same time with new seasons last week — and both put Native storytelling and Indigenous characters front and center. FX’s “Reservation Dogs” and AMC’s “Dark Winds” have a few things in common — starting, of course, with Zahn McClarnon, who stars as Navajo tribal police officer Joe Leaphorn in “Dark Winds” and recurs as Officer Big in “Reservation Dogs.”
And both also share acclaim from viewers and critics: “Reservation Dogs” sports a 99% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes’ reviews aggregator, while “Dark Winds” boasts a remarkable 100% ranking. But the two shows come from very different genres: “Reservation Dogs” is a modern-day coming of age dramatic comedy about a group of friends working through the death of one of their own, while “Dark Winds” is a western noir period piece set in the 1970s.

“Reservation Dogs” actress Devery Jacobs is opening up about immense pressure that comes with being cast in a Marvel project, specifically regarding her role in the forthcoming Disney+ show “Echo”.
During a comedy actress roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter, the Indigenous Canadian actress shed light on the assumed expectations surrounding physical appearance when being part of a comic book franchise. She acknowledged the industry’s inclination for a chiseled body type and the persistent notion that one needs to be thin or fit to be involved in a Marvel project. After being cast in “Echo”, she admits she had to contend with those pressures as well.

More and more often these days, Disney+ finds itself in a position in which it must borrow strategies from other streaming platforms. The service has done plenty of appropriating from HBO Max lately in terms of tactics meant to turn around the company’s streaming segment, curbing losses, and setting it on a path toward profitability.

If you've been eagerly anticipating either the next season of Loki or the first season of Hawkeye spin-off Echo, we finally know when the shows will be arriving on Disney+. And there's a surprise change to the release strategy for the latter.
Yes, while Loki's Second Season will be with us starting on October 6 and releasing weekly as with Marvel's other Disney+ shows, Echo is taking a different approach.
“In Hawkeye, fans were first introduced to Maya Lopez, a character played by Alaqua Cox," Marvel boss Kevin Feige said at the Disney upfront on Tuesday. "She will return to get her revenge in Echo, a limited drama from an incredible team of indigenous writers, directors and cast members. And in a first for us all episodes will drop on November 29."

Marvel Studios has just announced the release dates for two highly anticipated Disney+ series, and it looks like one of them is set to break the precedent for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to a tweet shared by Marvel Studios this afternoon, the "Hawkeye" spin-off series "Echo" is set to debut on November 29, 2023 – in its entirety. This marks a departure from the release model the MCU has been using for its Disney+ series since the streamer's inception, as past shows like "Loki," "WandaVision" and "Ms. Marvel" have all used the classic weekly release method.
Fans of Alaqua Cox's badass antihero Echo (aka Maya Lopez) will get to binge-watch the character's next chapter right in time for the holiday season, while "Loki"-lovers will see Tom Hiddleston's trickster god return on October 6, 2023. It's worth noting, though, that "Loki" appears to be sticking with the weekly release model, as the...

Marvel is launching a new binging strategy on Disney+.
Kevin Feige just revealed that all episodes of Hawkeye spin-off Echo will drop at once on November 29.
This is a new move for the company, which has previously aired episodes week to week.

The series centers around Maya Lopez, a deaf Native American superhero who has a talent to imitate any opponent’s fighting style. Alaqua Cox is playing Maya and was introduced during Hawkeye’s six episode run. Maya, in the comics, has also run in the circles of Daredevil, Moon Knight and the Avengers.

Marvel has set the Disney+ premiere dates for the second season of “Loki” with Tom Hiddleston and the “Hawkeye” spinoff series “Echo,” studio chief Kevin Feige announced during the Disney Upfront on Tuesday.

It’s no secret that the MCU has been one of the largest franchises of the past 15 years, but Marvel has been producing content lately on a scale that even they couldn’t have matched just a few years ago. The first three phases of the MCU contained 23 projects over 11 years – phase 4 alone had 17 projects that spanned barely two years, with phase 5 and phase 6 scheduled to have just as many.
The MCU has made it perfectly clear that they won’t stop mass-producing content anytime soon, nor should they since fans still flock to theaters to watch their movies and eagerly await every new show that arrives on Disney+. But with the different projects the MCU has begun to incorporate into their vast universe, the screen has gotten a little crowded, and audiences are finding it harder and harder to find the time to sit through 8-9 movies/shows a year.

When Hawkeye debuted in the fall of 2021, all the colorful lights and Christmas trees crowding the sets were regarded as nothing more than that: decorations. The Jeremy Renner- and Hailee Steinfeld-starrer was a Marvel show that just so happened to be set during the holidays. But, in truth, Hawkeye is a Christmas story that just so happens to be a Marvel show – and it should absolutely be added into your annual Yuletide rotation.
Let’s start with the most obvious arrow in the quiver: Christmas is its own character in Hawkeye, arguably the fourth lead after Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, and Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox). Almost every scene carries some reminder of the season, be it a lone string of lights in Maya’s apartment or B-roll of a snowy December in New York City. Even the abandoned K·B Toys holds special significance for anyone who grew up in the 1980s,...

The official trailer for “Echo,” the Disney+ series starring Alaqua Cox as the titular hero, has been unveiled. The trailer was introduced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige on Saturday at the D23 Expo.

Marvel Studios new live-action TV series "Echo", spinning off from the "Hawkeye" series, following hearing impaired super-powered native American 'Maya Lopez' (Alaqua Cox), has wrapped production on Season One:
"...with a hand-print across her face, 'Maya Lopez' is an Olympic-level athlete possessing 'photographic reflexes', defined as the uncanny ability to perfectly copy other people's movements.
“Just by watching other people, she has become a concert-level pianist, a martial artist, a highly skilled acrobat and gifted ballerina.

But her deafness is a drawback as she relies on visual cues that render her helpless in the dark, and her ability to communicate by reading lips prevents her from taking commands and communicating with people who are wearing masks or are not in direct visual contact.

Lauren Ridloff and Joshua Feldman are being the change they hope to see in Hollywood. The creative duo spoke to Deadline about the importance of hiring deaf and disabled creatives on both sides of the camera to tell authentic stories—and they hope the industry follows their lead.
“The most important thing to keep in mind when we tell stories about others, so to speak, is that authenticity should always be the goal. Tell true, real stories that resonate with people with disabilities, and also people who live within the world of people with disabilities,” Ridloff told Deadline at Sdcc following the Inevitable Foundations‘ “Disability Representation On and Off Screen” panel which featured both Ridloff and Feldman as speakers.

The upcoming Hawkeye spin-off is turning into a MCU family reunion. Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio, as Daredevil and Kingpin, respectively, have joined the cast of Echo, starring Hawkeye's Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cox played the titular role on Netflix's Daredevil for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. D'Onofrio played crime lord Kingpin (a.k.a. Wilson Fisk) on the first and third seasons of the series. After the cancelation of the series, the actors reprised their roles, albeit separately, in different Marvel projects. Cox made a much-ballyhooed cameo on 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home in a scene...

No surprise here to hear that Vincent D’Onofrio’s bad guy Kingpin will be starring in Disney+/Marvel’s Hawkeye spinoff Echo, as well as Charlie Cox’s famed Daredevil. We’ve confirmed.
Kingpin is the guardian to deaf superhero Echo aka Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), however, he killed her father. In the finale of Hawkeye, Echo goes after the big guy. After Kingpin survives a car crashing into him, and blasts from trick arrows, we hear Echo firing a gun at him, but it’s all off screen. Did he survive? Sounds like he did. In Echo, Maya returns to New York as a gang leader and reconnects with her Native American roots.
D’Onofrio told Deadline after the Hawkeye finale, “I hope he didn’t die” regarding Kingpin’s possible death. “I’m with the fans, I want to keep playing this part. My hope is that we continue.

The Man Without Fear’s world will officially get a little more frightening! When Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk appeared on the Disney+ series Hawkeye, just one week after Charlie Cox’s blind lawyer Matt Murdock showed up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, rumors immediately began swirling about a showdown between the two. The Netflix Marvel shows may have a mixed legacy, but the clashes between Kingpin and Daredevil remain fan favorites. The Hollywood Reporter has now confirmed that both characters will be in the upcoming Hawkeye spin-off Echo, meaning the two will finally meet in the MCU.

Disney+‘s Echo series starring Alaqua Cox‘s Maya Lopez will feature two familiar faces from Marvel’s former Netflix series Daredevil. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will reportedly reprise their roles as Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, and Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin in the Disney+ series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel hasn’t commented on the casting news, but it shouldn’t come as a major surprise. In 2021, Cox and D’Onofrio made their Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debuts when Matt Murdock showed up in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Kingpin played an antagonistic role in Disney+’s Hawkeye series. Until then, their characters hadn’t been seen since Daredevil was canceled at Netflix after a third season. This article contains spoilers for Hawkeye season one and Spider-man: No Way Home
Ever since the introduction of Echo in Hawkeye, fans have hoped that Daredevil and the Kingpin would once again do battle on screen. While Hawkeye did eventually give us the return of Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime, Charlie Cox had only a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, sans red devil horns. But if a costume designer’s resume is any indication, the two arch-enemies will be clashing again soon.
Along with clips of her excellent work on films such as Speed Racer and Thor: Ragnarok, Stacy Caballero includes a description of her work on the upcoming Echo series for Disney+. The resume indicates that in addition to designing costumes for lead actor Alaqua Cox, Caballero also worked for two others: Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. If this is accurate, then we...

This article contains spoilers for Marvel’s Hawkeye
If there’s one thing superhero fans love, it’s when a good guy fights a good guy. It’s even better when those good guys are the same guy.
Hot off his return to the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Charlie Cox had some unflattering things to say about the 2003 Daredevil movie starring Ben Affleck. Cox told fans at the Middle East Film & Comic Con 2022 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates that he never saw Affleck’s superhero movie debut before he was cast as Daredevil. According to People, Cox told the crowd, “I don’t love the movie … I feel like the movie tried to do too much and it was a little tonally confused.”
Few would disagree with Cox’s statement. Although it eventually earned twice its budget, Daredevil broke a string of critically well-received superhero movies that...

Marvel Studios upcoming live-action TV series "Echo", spinning off from the new "Hawkeye" series, follows 'hearing impaired' super-powered native American 'Maya Lopez' (Alaqua Cox), alongside Marvel Comics blind crime-fighter 'Daredevil' (Charlie Cox):
"...with a hand-print across her face, 'Maya Lopez' is an Olympic-level athlete possessing 'photographic reflexes', defined as the uncanny ability to perfectly copy other people's movements. Just by watching other people, she has become a concert-level pianist, a martial artist, a highly skilled acrobat and gifted ballerina.
"She also gained the acrobatic abilities of 'Daredevil' and the uncanny aim of 'Bullseye'. But her deafness is a drawback as she relies on visual cues that render her helpless in the dark, and her ability to communicate by reading lips prevents her from taking commands and communicating with people who are wearing masks or are not in direct visual contact.
