Netflix has shared a first look at the upcoming romantic comedy A Family Affair, which will be available to stream starting on June 28, 2024.
Directed by Richard Lagravenese, the film was written by Carrie Solomon and produced by Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum. The executive producers include Michelle Morrissey, Alyssa Altman, and Solomon.
Ever walked in on a relative in an intimate moment, and you really wished you hadn’t? Imagine that it’s your mother (Nicole Kidman)… with your former boss (Zac Efron).
That’s precisely Joey King‘s reality in A Family Affair. In new photos from the upcoming movie, you can see King witnessing that extremely awkward surprise.
Here’s the official logline: “A surprising romance kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother, and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity.”
Liza Koshy and Kathy Bates also star.

George Clooney gave Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling his stamp of approval to play his parents in the upcoming “Ocean’s 11” prequel.
Besides the involvement of the “Barbie” stars, not much is known about the upcoming “Ocean’s” film. However, rumors have been swirling that Robbie and Gosling will portray Danny Ocean’s parents.
“Margot Robbie’s my mother? I’ve always thought that. And Ryan Gosling is my father, and when you think about it, it makes sense. Truly,” Clooney told Variety at “The Boys in the Boat” premiere.
Jay Roach is set to direct the prequel, with Carrie Solomon writing. While Clooney’s early 2000s trilogy took place in Las Vegas, as well the original 1960 film starring the Rat Pack, the new prequel is expected to take place in 1960s Europe. “Ocean’s 8,” the latest film in the franchise, came out in 2018, starring Sandra Bullock as Danny Ocean’s sister.

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are set for the next Ocean’s film, and a couple more details have come to light.
Following the box office success of Ocean’s 8 in 2018, Warner Bros was soon mulling over what it could do next with the franchise. Since Steven Soderbergh remade the Rat Pack-headlined original Ocean’s 11 in 2001 (pictured), the films have been of mixed quality, but the box office returns reliable. A further chapter is thus not a surprise, although the decision not to retain the Ocean’s 8 cast is more of an eyebrow-raiser.
Instead, the next Ocean’s film is going back in time.
Our old friend Brendon Connelly has been in touch, with a bunch of new details about the film. Jay Roach, we knew, is set to direct, but we now learn that the current working title for it is simply Oceans, with no number in there at all.

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling’s combined star power helped power “Barbie” to $1.4 billion in worldwide ticket sales, an all-time high gross for distributor Warner Bros. The studio is clearly hoping to duplicate this success with its upcoming “Ocean’s 11” prequel movie, which is set to reunite Robbie and Gosling on the big screen. The film will be the first “Ocean’s” project since the Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett-led “Ocean’s 8” in 2018. Not much is known about the prequel other than the involvement of Robbie, Gosling, director Jay Roach and writer Carrie Solomon.

"Ocean's 8" graced the big screen more than five years ago and it seemed to promise more to come. However, a sequel has yet to materialize for reasons unknown. Boasting an all-star ensemble including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, Awkwafina, and Mindy Kaling, the third installment of the popular "Ocean's" franchise proved its mettle at the box office, amassing a worldwide total of $297.8M, a figure roughly on par with "Ocean's Thirteen." Additionally, it garnered favorable reviews from critics. Mixed audience reactions resulted in only a 47% positive score on Rotten Tomatoes. Overall, the picture achieved success.

Don Cheadle is over “Ocean’s 12” being mocked.
The Oscar winner addressed the fan hate for the “Ocean’s 11” sequel starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts. Cheadle played British explosives expert Basher Tarr in the Europe-set heist film.
“It was a lot of grinding on an accent that I have been both vilified and praised for,” Cheadle said during a GQ video interview. “When we came back to do the second film, we hadn’t seen each other for a long time. We hadn’t all been together. We were just reuniting, so we were just milling around for an hour and then we realized, ‘Oh wait, we’re actually here to shoot something.'”
Cheadle continued, “I love it that the second movie is the one that people will just unabashedly walk up to me and go, ‘Yeah, I hated that one. That one sucked.

Margot Robbie is everywhere — and we mean, everywhere.
The founder of critically acclaimed production company LuckyChap Entertainment has starred in some of the biggest auteur films of the decade and produced independent feminist films “I, Tonya” and “Promising Young Woman,” all while making at least one movie per year since 2013.
Robbie landed Oscar nominations for her respective turns in 2017’s Olympic biopic “I, Tonya” and 2019’s “Bombshell,” inspired by the true story of the sexual harassment lawsuit against former Fox News exec Roger Ailes. And don’t forget Robbie’s scene-stealing turn as Harley Quinn that transcended two “Suicide Squad” iterations plus lead spinoff “Birds of Prey,” which Robbie’s LuckyChap produced.
The first look at Robbie as a Mattel doll come to life for Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” almost broke the Internet. But that’s not the only star-studded epic Robbie leads this year.

Located 14 miles north of San Francisco with a population of just over 14,000, the community of Mill Valley has evolved into a West Coast epicenter for showcasing independent and international films. As the Mill Valley Film Festival prepares to celebrate its 45th year with screenings of films by Rian Johnson (“Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”), Darren Aronofsky (“The Whale”) and Alejandro G. After co-starring as Ken and Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming ‘Barbie’ movie, Gosling and Robbie have made plans to team up again for the franchise reboot, directed by Jay Roach and written by Carrie Solomon, reports Variety.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the prequel story is expected to take place in 1960s Europe, far away from Las Vegas, where the Rat Pack-starring original 1960 film and the George Clooney-fronted trilogy of the early 2000s were based.

Barbie and Ken are together again: Ryan Gosling is in talks to join Margot Robbie in the new "Ocean's Eleven" reboot, according to Deadline. Though we haven't actually seen the pair in Greta Gerwig's upcoming Mattel-inspired movie, I think everyone has seen enough endearingly campy candy-colored set photos by this point to already know this is a dream team.
Although 2018's "Ocean's Eight" seemed to open the door for the franchise to count a few installments higher, this project seems to be an unrelated reboot that's reportedly set in Europe in the 1960s, per Deadline. Jay Roach, who directed Robbie in the Fox News saga "Bombshell," is set to direct the new film, with Carrie Solomon writing the script. The project is still in the development stages.

I'd imagine that Koshy is portraying the "young woman," though the specific casting details have not been announced.

Margot Robbie wants to rob.
The actor is attached to star in a prequel to “Ocean’s Eleven,” a heist comedy about con artists who rob hundreds of millions from a Las Vegas casino. The upcoming film is still in development at Warner Bros. and has not been greenlit.
Jay Roach, who previously worked with Robbie on 2019’s workplace sexual harassment drama “Bombshell,” is directing the film. Carrie Solomon is working on the screenplay, which is expected to take place far away from Sin City, in 1960s Europe. The title has yet to be confirmed, but”Ocean’s Eight” has already been claimed by 2018’s gender-swapped reboot, led by Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett and Anne Hathaway, so the studio may have to settle on another numeral for Robbie’s mission.
Since the film does not officially have the go-ahead, there’s always a chance it will not come to fruition. But if all goes to plan,...
