As pro-Israel and pro-Palestine groups of demonstrators waved flags and vied for support from passing motorists at a busy Los Angeles intersection on Wednesday night, an audience of around 200 people filed through a security checkpoint into the city’s Museum of Tolerance.
Attendees, the protesters chanting outside, and scores of police officers had shown up because of a video collage titled Bearing Witness, compiled by a unit of the Israel Defense Forces from raw footage of the deadly attack by Hamas militants against Israel on Oct. 7, in which 1,400 people were...

On Wednesday evening, while most of Hollywood was cheering the news that the months-long actors strike had just come to an end, some 200 invited members of the industry — most of them avowed supporters of Israel — convened at the Museum of Tolerance in West L.A. for a screening of a film unlike any other: Bearing Witness, which comprises 43 minutes of footage of atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists against Israeli citizens on Oct. 7.
The somber gathering took place under heavy guard. Another media outlet leaked the location at which it would be taking place, resulting in threats against the museum and necessitating an FBI advance team in the days leading up to it. On Wednesday, a considerable number of LAPD officers were stationed inside the museum’s theater, out on the surrounding streets and in a helicopter overhead. Gal Gadot and her real estate developer husband Yaron Varsano are proud parents to three daughters. And though the actor has kept herself very busy - starring in Netflix's "Heart of Stone" and a potential third "Wonder Woman" film - she previously told Baby magazine in 2020 that she loves nothing more than coming home to her family. "I am a very, very happy woman who can hardly wait to come home to my family every time I finish work on a film," she explained. Gadot and Yaron share daughters Alma, Maya, and Daniella.
Gadot told Vogue Hong Kong in the June 2023 cover story that becoming a mom totally changed her perspective. "The biggest thing that changed in my life since I became a mother 11 years ago, was learning that it's not just about me. I'm not the most important thing in the world. They are," she said, calling that fact "simply healthy.

Exclusive: I’m hearing from sources that Universal is circling Cleopatra, the Gal Gadot epic which was set up at Paramount with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier EP/director Kari Skogland helming the project.
While interested in the project still, Paramount was not prepared to meet the timeline that the creative elements necessitated.
Deadline first told you about the project being set up at Paramount with Gadot, Jenkins and Skogland. No deals are in place at Universal.
The package is produced by Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven, Gal Gadot and her Pilot Wave Motion Pictures partner Jaron Varsano. Laeta Kalogridis wrote the screenplay and is serving as EP. Wonder Woman filmmaker Patty Jenkins is also an EP.
Uni’s potential interest here is no coincidence given how Roven is currently working with the studio on the Christopher Nolan WWII feature, Oppenheimer.

Your gal pal Gal (sorry) Gadot isn't letting her already busy schedule stop her from lining up even more projects. Fresh off of Netflix's "Red Notice" and "Death On the Nile" (which will maybe come out someday), Gadot is diving headfirst into her next project, which has a classic film twist. According to Deadline, she's set to start in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's 1955 romance-thriller "To Catch a Thief." This is a remake that's been shuffling around Hollywood for a little bit, but with Gadot's name (and her production company) attached, it might just happen.

Great news, Gen Z! They’re remaking “To Catch a Thief.”
The Alfred Hitchcock classic first debuted in 1955. It boasted breathtaking Riviera views, as well as Cary Grant being all effortlessly charming and Grace Kelly at peak icy blondness. There was also something about a cat burglar lured out of a comfortable retirement after being framed for a crime he didn’t commit — yada, yada — along with cinema’s most sexually suggestive fireworks display.
The new version is in early development, but Gal Gadot, better known as Wonder Woman and recently seen on Netflix in the crime caper “Red Notice” opposite Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson, is attached to star. Gadot can next be seen as the Evil Queen in Disney’s live-action remake of “Snow White” and in the long-delayed adaptation of Agatha Christie’s “Death on the Nile.”
The script for the new film is being penned by Eileen Jones,...

“The evolution of art is in constant flux,” says Ethan Hawke. “I don’t know what the future will bring.”
Hawke, one of this year’s Vision Award recipients at the 10th iteration of the Sun Valley Film Festival, has been championing independent cinema since he first emerged on the big screen as a teenager in such films as “Explorers” and the Oscar-winning “Dead Poets Society.” By the time he starred as intellectual slacker extraordinaire Troy Dyer in Ben Stiller’s now-cult classic “Reality Bites,” Hawke was the pop cultural embodiment of Generation X and the epitome of 1990s 20-something, post-collegiate ennui.
A four-time Oscar nominee — most recently for his 2014 turn in Richard Linklater’s experimental drama “Boyhood” — Hawke’s debut small-screen project, the Showtime pre-Civil War miniseries “The Good Lord Bird,” comes to the Sun Valley fest as not only a rousing example of American historical fiction, but Hawke’s unwavering commitment to high-quality,...

Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman may save the day with her lasso of truth and superhuman strength, but the Justice League actress said that real power comes with one’s ability to bring positive change to their community. Gadot teamed up with National Geographic to executive produce Impact, a six-part short form documentary series that seeks spotlight resilient women making change around the globe.
