Mark Anthony Ramitt is a Guyanese-Canadian. Since 2016, he has written and directed eight short narrative films, two of which were greenlit and produced in 2022 with his participation in the Hospice of Waterloo Region's 2nd annual YODO - You Only Die Once short narrative film competition. Further advancing his creative film making and storytelling talents through mentoring, training programs with vetted professionals such as Toronto, Ontario's bipoc TV and film non-profit organization, where he was selected to participate in the 2022 Kids' TV Animation Writing Intensive program.
Mark's current script writing projects include a live-action drama-comedy TV series that will be his second original TV pilot script, as well as writing and developing his second feature film thriller genre screenplay.
His 8th short narrative film as writer, director and producer has already been awarded a 2023 production grant from the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund. This film will be released and is premiering in film festivals in 2024 - selected for screening in his hometown region of Waterloo.
On deck as well, he will be directing a scripted multi-season web series project that has been created and written by Writers Guild of Canada member, Jade Stone.
