Taylor Swift is riding on a career-high following a smash-breaking year that included having a highly profitable stadium tour and being named Time’s Person of the Year.
While Swift minds her own business, enjoying time with friends and attending the Kansas City Chiefs games, Ted Nugent is giving his opinion on the musician and doesn’t have favorable words to describe her music.
“So I’m afraid to say in this world that’s gone down the toilet in all aspects, I’m afraid the success of Taylor Swift—and again, God bless her work ethic, God bless her musical dreams—but that’s cartoon music,” Nugent said while making an appearance on The Joe Pags Show podcast.
He continued, “I mean, it doesn’t have any piss and vinegar. There’s no fire, there’s no sensuality in that. It’s all poppy nonsense, as far as I’m concerned.

Right-wing rocker Ted Nugent has put Rolling Stone magazine founder Jann Wenner on blast for the latter’s “racist and misogynistic” comments that got him ousted from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame board of directors.
In a recent interview with The New York Times regarding his new book The Masters — collecting interviews with many legendary rock stars — Wenner was asked why he didn’t include any interviews with female or Black artists, to which he replied: “Insofar as the women, none of them were as articulate enough on this intellectual level.”
He continued, “I suppose when you use a word as broad as ‘masters,’ the fault is using that word. Maybe Marvin Gaye, or Curtis Mayfield? I mean, they just didn’t articulate at that level.”

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday night. At the glitzy Palais screening, director James Mangold and stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook and Ethann Isidore enjoyed a warm five-minute standing ovation from the crowd. But it was Indy himself, Harrison Ford, who was the center of attention, with the actor visibly moved to tears by the reception.
Not soon after the premiere, the first reviews of the film, which hits theaters on June 30, came trickling in. As of late Thursday, the early critical reaction to the fifth film in the much-loved Indiana Jones franchise has been decidedly mixed.
A common theme among the early reviews is that the film is better than Indy’s last outing, the rather polarizing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull from 2008, but not much better. Many reviewers took issue with digitally de-aging...

Less than a week after a Ted Nugent concert was announced in Birmingham, Alabama, its promoter canceled it following intense outcry, according to Al.com. The musician may have scored hits like “Cat Scratch Fever” and “Free-for-All” in the Seventies, but his criticism of school-shooting victims advocating for gun safety, contempt for animal rights, birtherism, and racist comments like calling Obama a “subhuman mongrel” (for which he apologized) have turned public opinion against him.

Ted Nugent recently announced a farewell tour, but one of the dates has already been nixed. His July 18th gig at Avondale Brewing Co. in Birmingham, Alabama, was just canceled after the venue got flooded with backlash over the veteran rocker’s extreme political views.

With 11 Emmy victories spread over its first two seasons, including two for Best Comedy Series, “Ted Lasso” has quite a reputation to live up to heading into year three. Whether or not the Apple TV Plus show’s newest dozen episodes – which will stream on a weekly basis from March 15 to May 31 – will be followed by any more remains a mystery. In their generally positive reviews of the first third of the new season, critics agree that the series is well-positioned to wrap up, with most asserting that it should do so lest it overstay its welcome.

If there is one perpetually underappreciated horror monster out there, it’s Bigfoot. America’s most famous and recognizable cryptid has a wealth of films and literature devoted to it – but the elusive, hairy beast has rarely found itself in the horror spotlight among its brethren such as the vampire and werewolf.
Legends and myths of Bigfoot or Bigfoot-esque creatures span centuries and continents. Sasquatch, Yeti, Skunk Ape, and more all come to fall under the Bigfoot banner. Many states and regions across the country have their own version of the ape-like figure. Entire communities and groups of people can be found dedicated to tracking down and proving Bigfoot exists. The legend also comes with a decent score of individuals looking for a bit of attention by concocting pranks, hoaxes, and staging sighting.
The ongoing fascination with Bigfoot is easy to understand. It taps into our collective obsession with the unknown and the mysterious.

The BBC drama’s latest run drew to an end on Sunday (5 February), with an acclaimed finale that brought the entire series to a close.
On BBC Breakfast, Carol Kirkwood said she was planning to swiftly leave the studio after delivering her weather update as she didn’t want to hear the hosts’ Happy Valley discussion.
However, Nugent, when Kirkwood told her she hadn’t yet seen the finale, replied: “Carol, neither have I! I haven’t seen the ending. So do not worry, we are safe! I give you my word.”
However, Kay replied: “I’ve watched it and I can’t speak to anybody about it.

The review embargo for Antoine Fuqua’s much-talked about escaped slave drama Emancipation lifted Wednesday evening and early critics reaction to the Apple Original Films feature is decidedly mixed.
Critics praised Emancipation‘s cast, with Will Smith, the film’s controversy-stricken star, receiving plaudits along with co-stars Ben Foster and Charmaine Bingwa. There was also praise for the survival thriller setup of the film, with an appreciation for the different approach to the subject. But some critics took issue with the unrelenting brutality as well as the look of the film, with questions about Robert Richardson’s stylized cinematography as well as the sparse script.
The Hollywood Reporter‘s Lovia Gyarkye writes that Emancipation treats Peter’s escape and journey well, but the film is “hampered by a spare and spiritless screenplay.” Gyarkye feels that the current reality of a growing refusal to...

Roll the credits. The 30th Annual Hamptons Film Festival concluded Sunday night in East Hampton with an out-of-competition sneak of “Glass Onion,” the “Knives Out” sequel. Expanded to 10 days from the usual long weekend, the tony east end Long Island event that draws a large number of local academy members saw Lukas Dhont‘s “Close” named Best Narrative Feature by the competition jury. Best Documentary Feature went to “Pray For Our Sinners” about the Catholic Church.
“The challenge for the last three years has been Covid,” Artistic Director David Nugent says. This year was in-person, no drive-ins, and masks were suggested, not mandatory. Most wore them into theaters and then took them off.
“I think ‘Living’ could do well at the Oscars,” Nugent told me. “I think ‘The Son,’ ‘The Whale,’ ‘Banshees of Inisherin‘ and ‘Empire of Light.’ We’ll see where everything lands in two months.”

Don’t expect any drive-in screenings, virtual screenings, mask mandates or reduced capacity theaters at the 30th annual Hamptons Intl. Film Festival. This year’s edition will look and feel as it did way back in 2019.
The Long Island-based fest, which runs Oct. 7-16, will screen 69 feature films and 51 shorts that are 54 female-directed and represent 34 countries from around the world.
Also back at Hiff are a bevy of fancy cocktail hours and the fest’s Rowdy Talks series, which will include a conversation with director, screenwriter and producer Chris Columbus.
New this year? The festival will run over 10 days.
“Last year, we were seven days instead of our typical five,” says Hiff artistic director David Nugent. “We did that to see if people would be interested in coming to see films midweek and they were, so we decided to expand.”
One thing that will not feel different this year is...

A spokesman for Griffin said she would have no comment beyond the apology video she posted on Tuesday.
The termination comes one day after the comedienne posted a photo and video of her holding a fake severed head of President Donald Trump. She later apologized for the photo and video, saying it went too far, and removed it from her Twitter account. She had made it as part of a photo shoot with Tyler Shields, but they did...
