Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Vince is calling this Nxt 2.0, so I’m not. Rick Steiner’s son is on here as Bron Breakker, which leaves him one k away from being banned from working Detroit. We’re supposed to have more colors, which is the only concern I have when watching wrestling…pretty colors. I need pinks and greens! The Mask: Oui oui, cherie! We meet again! Is it fate? Is it meant to be? Is our destiny written in the stars that we see tonight?! I’d like to think so! Hahaha!!!!!!! Me: Oh no! Bob Costas! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! The Mask: She is so coy! I love it! Norm MacDonald: Hey! Did I die? Well, that sucks. Now I’ll be a virgin forever! I’m not a bird! I’m a man! I don’t wanna f–k birds!

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Tommaso Ciampa versus Ridge Holland, which is a battle between the Italian and the Dutch. While these two countries war, I’ll sneak over to both and steal their s–t! I’ll have their wozganpas and their schloznaflas and doobagas and yoogagas…their wizflitzs and taulagapitz and their oobabalaboobalagabbabaschlipts…but most important of all…I’ll have their kakamoopakadayagabquivtiz! It’s marvelous I tells ya! Absolutely, postitutely marvelous! Hahahahaha!!!!!!!! The Grinch: You fool! They’re onto us! Me: Ah! Run Et! Runnnnnn!!!!!!! Et: Gaaaaahhhhhh!!!! Me: Nxt starts now! Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the fallout from In Your House is due to the dog running around with its tail up its ass. Maybe the dog is a dip-s–t? I know I am. We’ve got a couple of matches guaranteed here, along with big news from William Regal. Shall we get started?
Match #1: Breezango def. Imperium The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Walter likely won’t be happy with Imperium’s performance, as Breeznago scored a victory out of nowhere thanks to an inside cradle by Tyler Breeze on Fabian Aichner. Aichner & Marcel Barthel had the last laugh though, draping the Imperium flag over their foes following a post-match assault.
The Verdict: 7 out of 10 – This was pretty good for an opener. A lot of this was stuck in picture-in-picture, but that doesn’t affect...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m in 1989 helping Brian Yuzna finish editing the gross f—kin’ movie “Society”. Brian Yuzna: Ending needs more shunting. Tongues become asses nailing taint. (wall explodes) David Cronenberg: I have heard through the weirdo filmmaker grapevine that you have bested me in the filming of sick, nasty footage that has artistic value but should probably be burned because it’s f—king gross. No one gets to do that but me! I shall take this footage and return to my lair of Canadianess where I shall edit these scenes into a picture starring a talking asshole. By: No! My footage! DC: Ah! My footage. Men…blow the building ten seconds after we flee. By: Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!! (building implodes) By: N-n-n-n-Nathan…I’m dying. Me: No. No! By: Get the footage back. Avenge me!

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Vince McMahon pretending that he is funding an independent promotion and a developmental school at the same time. Nxt…it exists. I enjoy the matches…usually. That being said, Nxt is most certainly a WWE product. It has the WWE house style getting mixed with a diluted version of the Ring Of Honor house style, but without any of the loose (very loose) psychology of either. I don’t despise Nxt, but I definitely don’t see it as so separate from Vince McMahon’s vision for pro wrestling as others do, so I don’t shower it with praise. There’s too many stories in Nxt. There’s too many titles in Nxt. There’s no true focal point, except for when someone like Finn Balor has the strap wrapped around his waist.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Sarray debuting tonight. Yummy yummy yummy I got cum in my tummy ‘cuz I guzzled man ja-jizz! John Denver wrote those lyrics in his classic “Ballad of a Mississippi Slut” and they are every bit as true now as they were then. Wrestling is like that slut, because it swallows that dude juice like Wonko McBillichucky does with his pride when the white man kisses his sister. Kirsten Dunst called me other day and said I was a liar. What would she know? I’ve never even talked to her before! She’s never even called me before! I hate it when people I’ve never met call me and tell me I’m a jerk for lying about having had talked to them. It’s not my fault I’m imagining...

We’ve got the fallout from the WWE’s last week of wrestling mayhem, so forgive Professor Numbnuts for going f–king crazy! Walalalalalalalalabufffffggglalalalalalala! Vince McMahon is driving me insane! Plus, I saw that picture of him in tennis shoes. Ewwwwwwww!!!!!!! Well, before I fall off my rocker, let’s review this show and all its poet laureate madness! Two roads diverged in a yellow wood and Ireland is ridiculous! My God! Nxt! Hiya!

Let’s join this episode of Keeping Up Appearances already in progress and see if Richard smacks Hyacinth in the mouth. It’s my sister Violet! You know, the one with the large house, swimming pool and room for a pony. What’s that Violet? You’re going out to dinner with Bruce? You’ve got your nice dress picked out! Oh, that’s lovely! Bruce is wearing it. He thinks he looks pretty. He won’t leave the house unless he gets to wear the dress. Well dear, it’s the 90s. You should feel lucky that he doesn’t want you to grow a moustache!

Match #1: Io Shirai def. Shotzi Blackheart The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Shotzi Blackheart quickly proved she was more than up to the task of standing toe-to-toe with the champion, putting forth a courageous effort against Io Shira. In the end though, it was The Genius of the Sky prevailing, putting Blackheart away with her patented top-rope moonsault after a worthy challenge.
My Opinion: 4.1 out of 5 – This was a hell of an opener. Io and Shotzi knocked the Mulan out of each other!

Welcome, one and all, to part two the second annual Nerdly WWE Top 50! I began this idea last year. Our version of such established ranking lists as the “Pwi 500” and the like, but just with WWE in mind. I mean, I watch other products and promotions, like Aew, New Japan, Ring of Honor and Nwa, but… sticking to one promotion, the promotion I tend to watch the most, makes sense, and makes this one-man-job a lot easier to do. This list will cover the last twelve months, from September 2019 until August of 2020.
Like last year, this will take into account work-rate, match-quality, visibility of the workers on television, their promo work, but also… and this is important to note, the way that they’ve been used. You see… there are men and women in WWE who, if they were used more often and booked in a more substantial manner, would...

Match #1: Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Breezango def. Legado del Fantasma – Six-Man Street Fight The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tempers boiled over and led to a chaotic encounter that saw the use of a table, a fire extinguisher and even a forklift. A week removed from losing the Nxt Tag Team Titles to Breezango, Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner retaliated by getting involved in this bout. The second time was the charm for Fandango & Tyler Breeze to finally capture their first gold in WWE. Rising to the occasion, Breezango capitalized on a misfired double-team attack by Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner, allowing Fandango to make a much-needed tag to Breeze, who delivered superkicks left and right. Match #1: Imperium def. Matt Riddle & Timothy Thatcher – Nxt Tag Team Championship Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
As a significantly more experienced team, Imperium controlled much of the action. However, the decisive moment had very little to do with Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel. Matt Riddle’s monkey flip inadvertently sent Barthel flying into Timothy Thatcher, and a fed-up Thatcher walked out on Riddle, who was desperately seeking a tag. Match #1: Finn Bálor def. Fabian Aichner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
If mowing down Imperium one-by-one is the only way Finn Bálor can get to Nxt United Kingdom Champion Walter, The Prince doesn’t seem to mind. Bálor conquered another of Walter’s soldiers this week on Nxt, this time taking down Fabian Aichner. In what was essentially a Handicap Match at times, Bálor had to stave off Aichner as well as fellow Imperium member Marcel Barthel at ringside. But the uneven odds only seemed to further motivate Bálor.

Match #1: Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm and Candice LeRae def. Kay Lee Ray, Bianca Belair and Io Shirai The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The piecemeal teams ultimately broke down in favor of Ripley, Storm and LeRae. The Evil Genius of the Sky and The Est of Nxt were unable to stay on the same page, and the Nxt Women’s Champion took advantage, taking Belair down with The Riptide for the victory.

Match #1: Tommaso Ciampa def. Angel Garza The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tommaso Ciampa is back and appears as dangerous as ever, and that could mean bad news for Nxt Champion Adam Cole. The Blackheart went a long way Wednesday toward extinguishing any doubts about his recovery from injury. In his first action since February, Ciampa showed little ring rust during a defeat ofAngel Garza, securing the victory after an elevated hanging Ddt dubbed Willow’s Belle.
My Opinion: 3.2 out of 5 – This was way too short.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Simon Pegg hates Jar Jar Binks, which is weird, since Pegg kinda looks like Jar Jar. Meesa no’um look like Brad Pitt…cuz ain’t no cave in Yorkshire. Okay, let’s jump right in to an episode of Nxt UK and see how much action we get out of the deal.
Match #1: Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel) def. The Hunt The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Despite the unorthodox style of The Hunt’s Wild Boar and Primate, Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner defended their sacred mat against their animalistic opponents in Nxt UK’s opening contest, showcasing exquisite tag team precision that culminated with stereo dropkicks and the uppercut into the powerbomb on Wild Boar for the three-count.

Match #1: Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner of Imperium def. Saxon Huxley & Tyson T-Bone The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the opening match of this week’s Nxt UK, Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner honored their “sacred” mat in a contest against Saxon Huxley & Tyson T-Bone. Huxley made the critical mistake of failing to see Barthel tag Aichner into the match and continued to battle Barthel. After the legal Aichner used a knee to take out T-Bone on the steel steps outside the ring, he nailed Huxley from behind, and Imperium finished off their prey with an uppercut off the second rope into the powerbomb for the three-count.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the British version of Triple H’s Play-House on hand. Let’s see if it all came together as something fun or something funky.
Match #1: Jinny & Jazzy Gabert def. Xia Brookside & Isla Dawn The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In Nxt UK’s opening tag team matchup, Xia Brookside & Isla Dawn came together to face common enemies: Jinny and her intimidating new cohort, Jazzy Gabert. After Jazzy completely dismantled Xia & Isla, executing The White Witch with a devastating Dominator, The Fashionista demanded to be tagged in so that she could pick up the three-count for her tandem.
My Opinion: 2 out of 5 – This thing went by too quickly to become what it should have/could have been, but it did get them all on TV for a few minutes, so there you go.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Raw and Smackdown sucked. You know why Raw and Smackdown sucked? Vince McMahon is an idiot. Yeah, so we’re with the European people, who don’t have to talk to him like the main roster folks do. Okay, I forgot where I’m going with this. Just note that the supplementary brands of this league have done better than the billion dollar siblings this week.
Match #1: Travis Banks def. Joseph Connors – Fatal 4-Way Qualifying Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In the final moments of Nxt UK’s high stakes open matchup, Travis Banks managed to overcome the aggressive style of Joseph Connors. After hitting the Slice of Heaven off the ropes, he quickly followed up with the Kiwi Crusher to earn the final spot in the Fatal 4-Way Match to determine the No.

Welcome to this week’s review of WWE’s Worlds Collide, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have two battle royals to get to, so let’s do so.
Match #1: Bianca Belair won the Women’s Battle Royal The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
“I’m on my own, against the wall” might be the opening lyrics of Bianca Belair’s entrance song, but those words also tell the story of her triumph in the Worlds Collide’s Women’s Battle Royal. With no allies in sight, and 17 opponents eying the same victory circle, The Est of Nxt powered her way to one of the biggest wins of her career. As talented as Belair is, besting a loaded field of Nxt and Nxt Superstars was far from the easiest task. Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and it’s time to see what happens for this brand after the results of a very successful Wrestlemania weekend.
Match #1: Candice LeRae def. Aliyah The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After being called a “loser” by Aliyah & Vanessa Borne last week, Candice LeRae stopped at nothing to make sure that Aliyah was staring at the lights at the conclusion of their one-on-one showdown tonight. LeRae’s path to victory was almost derailed by Borne when The Vision distracted her, enabling Aliyah to take control of the action. After several failed pin attempts, however, the boujee Superstar grew frustrated and slapped LeRae. That proved to be a mistake, as the blatant show of disrespect seemed to reignite LeRae’s competitive fire. LeRae hit back with a series of high-impact moves before flattening Aliyah...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the final card before Wrestlemania, so let’s see if Vince tries to bomb the United Kingdom so he doesn’t have to pay for this brand any-more. It wouldn’t surprise me if Vince actually had a nuclear weapon at this point, so maybe that joke has the potential to be a hit a bit too close to home.
Match #1: Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan def. Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In Nxt UK’s opening match, it looked as if Kenny Williams & Amir Jordan’s recent good fortune might finally have been coming to an end when they locked horns with the dominant force of Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner. However, just when Aichner was executing another impressive hanging suplex, the Lucky-Yin...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt: UK review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Nxt: UK will kick ass… maybe.
Match #1: Eddie Dennis def. Ligero The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Returning from “exile” with renewed destructive resolve, Eddie Dennis battled Ligero, hitting an awe-inspiring hanging superplex before executing the Severn Bridge and the Next Stop Driver for the victory.
My Take: 3 out of 5 – This was a nice little match between these two that helped re-establish Eddie as a potential star for the year.
Match #2: The Hunt def. Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The tag team combination of Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley hoped to rebound following their Nxt UK loss last week against Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel, but the barbaric duo of Wild Boar & Primate shut them down in a hurry, capping off their onslaught with a...

Match #1: Ligero def. Joseph Conners The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
After falling short against Ligero a couple weeks ago, the very jaded Joseph Conners engaged the highflying competitor in a rematch in order to establish that he is, and always has been, better than the Leeds Luchador. Connors got the advantage early in the explosive contest, punishing his masked opponent both inside and outside the ring. But, Ligero roared back with a high-octane offense that paved the way for a fierce back-and-forth battle for supremacy. But, in the end, Conner’s fury was not enough to...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament all the way through this show. You’d think they would have wanted to have a WarGames tournament or something a bit more associated with his wrestling career, but at least this gives tag team wrestling an extra ledge to hang on to in the WWE.
Match #1: Aleister Black & Ricochet def. Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The too fast-and-furious combination of Aleister Black & Ricochet outlasted double-trouble maulers Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel to advance to the Semifinals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Through the duration of the match, Aichner & Marcel’s gridiron-style offense played like a Venus flytrap to Black & Ricochet’s high-flying attacks, which forced the momentum to shift back and forth. Match #1: “Bomber” Dave Mastiff def. “Primate” Jay Melrose The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Jay Melrose opened the latest episode of Nxt UK by unleashing an animalistic effort against the still-undefeated monster Dave Mastiff. When he attempted to lift the “Bomber” onto his shoulder, however, his poor judgment proved to be his undoing. And after completely flattening the “Primate,” Mastiff finished him off with the Cannonball into the corner.
My Take: 2 out of 5 – This was done before you could even begin to miss it.
Match #2: Walter def. Jack Starz The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
After making his presence known at Nxt UK TakeOver: Blackpool, the intense, towering, old-world throwback competitor that is Walter debuted against the unfortunate Jack Starz.

Match #1: Nina Samuels def. Lana Austin The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Although a tenacious Lana Austin was operating on all cylinders against Nina Samuels, delivering a fierce forearm that nearly closed the door on her opponent, Samuels overcame her upstart foe with a fireman’s carry into the Primadonna for the victory.
My Take: 2.5 out of 5 – This was a quick match that had some good wrestling but felt a bit flat, if that makes sense.
Match #2: Eddie Dennis def. Jamie Ahmed The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Still recovering from his brutal No Disqualification Match against “Bomber” Dave Mastiff, a very angry Eddie Dennis roared back with a dominant showing inside the squared circle and around ringside against Jamie Ahmed.

Match #1: Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch def. Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
The phrase “actions speaks louder than words” took a life of its own in the high-octane battle between Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch and Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel. Picking up from where their harsh verbal encounter concluded two weeks ago, the double-tough tandems unleashed pure bedlam inside and outside the yellow ropes. Where there was a brick-laced uppercut thrown by Burch & Lorcan, a devastating combo attack by Barthel & Aichner was waiting to follow – like Barthel literally tossing Lorcan into a grab-and-go suplex by Aichner. But there was no stopping the Brit-Am bruisers’ ground-and-pound style. When Aichner attempted to knock...

Match #1: Ligero def. Saxon Huxley The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
The unorthodox Saxon Huxley looked to take the “Hero’s journey” in a tough contest against the high-flying Ligero. Despite Huxley’s efforts, however, the Leeds Luchador rose above, gliding his way through the middle rope to hit a devastating stunner before executing the C4L Springboard Ddt for another huge win.
My Take: 3 out of 5 – I’m in the Twilight Zone. Ligero winning matches in the WWE is one of those things I never thought would happen. Ligero is one of those “indy goof-balls” that Vince probably still hates, even though those “indy goof-balls” are the ones putting asses in seats for him.

Match #1: Bianca Belair def. Nikki Cross The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
After closing out 2018 on an un-de-fea-ted note, Bianca Belair continued business as usual in her first in-ring outing of the new year. But it was no easy task, seeing as how it involved the queen mother of chaos, Nikki Cross. Setting spark to the powder keg that was their pair of disruptive battles last year, the two forces took it to one another with pure intensity. At one point, Belair lugged Cross from the top of the turnbuckle and dropped her with an awe-inspiring gorilla press.
