Her music is on Broadway, her name is back in headlines and now her memoir is set to hit bookstores: Britney Spears’ The Woman in Me will be released Oct. 24 by Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster.
Described by Gallery as “a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope,” the memoir was the subject of a publishing bidding war in 2022, with Simon & Schuster’s Gallery reported to have landed a $15 million deal.
On the book’s webpage, Gallery writes, “In June 2021, the whole world was listening as Britney Spears spoke in open court. The impact of sharing her voice—her truth—was undeniable, and it changed the course of her life and the lives of countless others. The Woman in Me reveals for the first time her incredible journey—and the strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history.

If you’ve also been traveling on “The Road So Far,” then you’d know Supernatural has introduced no shortage of memorable recurring characters over the course of its thirteen seasons. That said, you’d think one or two of them would be ripe for a spinoff, but, originally, The CW intended on going in a different direction.
Perhaps you’ll be able to recall the “Bloodlines” episode from season 9, which, if you’re unaware, was the network’s first attempt at a backdoor pilot. By that, we mean characters and concepts were introduced in the flagship series, with the intention of paying them off in the planned spinoff.
As it turned out, the experiment didn’t go over well with fans as it was more similar in tone to The Vampire Diaries instead of the series it was meant to complement. Not only that, but it violated rules already...

In the years that I’ve been venturing out to conventions – and then subsequently covering them – I have to admit that I’ve primarily adhered to those that focus on comic book culture. After all, that is my area of expertise. But, more recently, I’ve somewhat broadened my horizons with horror cons and what happens to be the biggest anime event of its kind in Michigan, Youmacon.
To be honest, I’m not exactly what you would call a fan of the medium, though I do love animation itself. It’s just that I gear more toward the superhero stuff, but am not afraid to pick up something like, say, The Animatrix or Supernatural: The Anime Series when it’s produced by a Japanese studio. Regardless, it’s due to the fun that I experienced at last year’s show that persuaded me to come back for a second tour.

This review is based on the first episode.
I’m not sure I can pinpoint the exact moment that Legends of Tomorrow (or DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, to be technical) became one of the best shows on The CW lineup. After all, as our very own Robert Yaniz Jr. pointed out in his review of season 2 last year, the show had not yet found its footing.
Perhaps it was when Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) became the new captain of the Waverider then, or maybe during the bantering sessions between the well-realized Legion of Doom. At some point, a new vibe started to ripple through the show’s DNA, transforming it into the pulpy celebration of DC comics that fans had wanted from the very start.
Of course, this didn’t happen at the expense of the stakes. In fact, season 2 ends after some of the most chaotic storytelling I...

Since its debut in October of 2012, at least one thing regarding Arrow that has remained a constant has been that of its timeslot: Wednesday night at 8 pm. Knowing that it maintained that for five seasons is quite the feat, but as we all know, shuffles are an eventuality if a given series has the privilege of enduring.
As it turns out, the show that kicked off the whole DC TV shared universe will be doing a timeslot swap of sorts with another comic book adaptation, Riverdale. Quite frankly, we don’t see this as cause for concern given that each respective show will be paired with one that’s more suited to it, with Riverdale serving as the Wednesday night lead-in for the Dynasty reboot, and Arrow reuniting with genre favorite Supernatural on Thursday nights.

Without a doubt, Supergirl has certainly stepped up its game in its second season. Don’t get me wrong, season 1 was certainly no slouch, but you have to admit that since its move to The CW, it’s been able to breathe more freely and has achieved new heights.
In that time, one wonderful addition to the show has been that of Lena Luthor, played by Katie McGrath. While attempting to step out of her notorious brother’s shadow and bring LuthorCorp – now L-Corp – into the light, she’s also forged an interesting relationship with one Kara Danvers while confounding her own mother, Lillian, at every turn. Fortunately, she’s been promoted to series regular for season 3.
Anyway, anyone remotely familiar with this show is well aware that earlier this season Tyler Hoechlin suited up,...

After finally finding out that Prometheus is, in fact, Adrian Chase, Arrow fans were forced to endure a two-week period of sweet agony waiting for the next episode to get here. And although we now have only six days to go until “Checkmate” arrives, some images from the following installment, “Kapiushon,” have made their way online.
Aside from Prometheus continuing his unrelenting torture of Oliver Queen, we’re offered confirmation by way of these photos that Dolph Lundgren will indeed be reprising his role as Konstantin Kovar in episode 5.17. Not only that, but it looks like Oliver will be confronting him in his proto-Arrow suit in the flashback scenes.
Speaking of said costume, one can’t help but notice that it’s very similar to the one he donned in the first season, so he owes much thanks to Talia al Ghul for providing such stylish threads.

Now that the Winchesters have escaped from prison, Supernatural is back to business as usual. Well, that is if Dean is able to keep his memory intact for long.
In next week’s episode, “Regarding Dean,” it seems that his memory is gradually being wiped due to having been hit by a powerful spell. Aside from seeing one of his greatest frenemies, Rowena, lending a helping hand and booping his nose, this looks like it may end up being one of the more humorous episodes the series has come to be appreciated for. Okay, maybe not “Changing Channels” levels of zaniness, but maybe something more comparable to a balance found by “The Real Ghostbusters.”
