[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Interview With the Vampire Season 2 Episode 2, “Do You Know What it Means to be Loved by Death.”] Coven, knock on our door. Larry Horricks / AMC This is also the hour that unleashes the great Ben Daniels, who devours the scenery as Santiago. The coven’s leading man fancies the art of pretending to be a bloodsucker on stage so the troupe can drain a victim live in front of audiences who think it’s all an act. He may also ...

“Nyad” is the real-life story of Diana Nyad (Annette Bening), a world class swimmer who decided, at age 60, that she wanted to do something that had previously seemed impossible after she’d tried it when she was younger and was unsuccessful – to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage.
With her coach and former romantic partner Bonnie Stoll (Jodie Foster) at her side, she made several more attempts, battling box jellyfish, turbulent storms and constant naysayers. Somehow insurmountable feels like too mild a word to describe what she was attempting.
And it feels like filmmakers Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin were keenly equipped to capture her story. The team, who are also married in real life, are Oscar-winners for their documentary “Free Solo” and have helmed several more movies about human beings pushing themselves to the brink (like “The Rescue” and “Return to Space”). It’s funny because we saw half the cast of this beloved show in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie only a month ago. Sex Education Episode 1 takes us right back to the lovely lives of Otis and his friends. The kids have now moved to “Cavendish College” mid-term, making it their new second home. With Moordale Secondary in their past, how are things going to change for Otis and the gang? Additionally, there’s a bundle of joy in Otis’ life now. Literally, his baby sister is named Joy, and Jean seemingly isn’t taking it quite as well as she’d imagined. With no Jakob in her life and Otis going off to college, will Jean be able to manage her new life?

Some movies are so iconic it’s hard to imagine that they were originally going to be radically different. Elvis Presley‘s movie Jailhouse Rock once had a completely different title. One of Elvis’ regular songwriters revealed why the film’s initial name was abandoned. In addition, he discussed what he thought about Jailhouse Rock.
Elvis Presley’s movie ‘Jailhouse Rock’ could have been called ‘Ghost of a Chance’
Mike Stoller co-wrote several Elvis tunes, including “Hound Dog,” “Bossa Nova Baby,” “Little Egypt,” and “Jailhouse Rock.” During a 2022 interview with Variety, Stoller revealed the first title of the movie Jailhouse Rock was abandoned in favor of the title of his song.
“I think [the original title] was Ghost of a Chance,” he said. “That changed, I think, as soon as they heard the initial recording. Which is not the one in the film, because the one in the film was blown out and had a bigger orchestra.

Occult-rock legends Coven and heavy rockers Lucifer are teaming up for a Fall 2023 North American tour, featuring support from doom rockers Early Moods.
The outing, dubbed “The Satanic Panic Tour,” kicks off November 8th in Los Angeles, and runs through a November 30th date in Baltimore. Coven will not be on that very last date, instead playing their final show of the jaunt a night earlier in New York City.
Tickets to select shows are available beginning Friday (September 1st) via Ticketmaster. Fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
Coven have been around since forming in Chicago in the late 1960s, with some fans arguing that they preceded Black Sabbath as early progenitors of heavy metal, at least in terms of their aesthetic. The band last released an album 10 years ago, 2013’s Jinx.

Evan Peters has been in more seasons of FX’s “American Horror Story” than any other male actor, appearing in all of them except for Season 9, “AHS: 1984,” and the upcoming Season 11, “AHS: New York City.” (Sarah Paulson matches his track record for female actors.) Soon after winning an Emmy in 2021 for HBO’s “Mare of Easttown,” Peters returned to “AHS” during the long-awaited pandemic-delayed Season 10, “Double Feature: Red Tide.” Over the past decade, nearly all of his characters have stuck with viewers (we’re going to pretend Jeff Pfister didn’t exist).

Mike Schank, guitarist, actor, friend and beloved subject of the 1999 documentary “American Movie,” died on Thursday morning, according to the Milwaukee Record. He was 56.
The exceedingly gifted screamer was a highlight from the cult classic directed by Chris Smith.
The film followed Wisconsin director Mark Borchardt as he attempted to film his fraught horror movie “Coven.” With a crew made up of friends and family members, just about every part of the production process fell apart, except for Schank, who was always there for his friend. Schank appeared as an extra, assistant, edit bay buddy and epic storyteller.
Schank was also a guitarist and even recorded music for the soundtrack to the documentary. Besides acting in “Coven,” he would also appear in the 2001 film “Storytelling,” the 2014 pic “Hamlet A.D.D.” and cameo as himself on an episode of “Family Guy.”
“American Movie” won the grand jury prize for documentary at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival.

The cast of “American Horror Story” Season 11 was officially announced on September 29, several weeks ahead of the October 19 premiere date. This year’s New York City-themed installment features many returning “AHS” actors and also welcomes some first-timers to the FX franchise.
This is the first edition to film entirely in the Big Apple, and the official tagline teases that “mysterious deaths and disappearances ramp up in the city.” Meanwhile, “a doctor makes a frightening discovery, and a local reporter becomes tomorrow’s headline.” Co-creators Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk wrote the season premiere, which was directed by John J. Gray. Scroll through our gallery above (or click here for direct access) to see the “American Horror Story: New York City” cast photos for “AHS: NYC.”
