Like a true comedian, Melissa Rauch (“The Big Bang Theory”) is making fun of herself so we can all laugh. Back in her red-white-and-blue warmup suit, she stars as fictional, third-place Olympic gymnast Hope Greggory, alongside real-life, former figure skater Tonya Harding, in a new viral video responding to the “soft opening” of the “The Bronze” last week. The film has received mixed reviews, and when an “executive” points out that “some of the critics have been less than kind,” Hope responds, “That’s because the judges don’t like girls from the other side of the tracks, ain’t that right, Tonya?” The meta exchange continues, highlighting the lack of demure female stereotypes in “The Bronze” and Hope’s polar opposite, aggressive personality.
