Actor Alexandra McVicker has signed with Fusion Entertainment for management. McVicker, who is transgender, hails from Lexington, Kentucky. Prior to her transition, she was known for her breakout role on the HBO show “Vice Principals,” a dark comedy starring Danny McBride and Walton Goggins as conniving high school vice principals vying to run the school. As a recurring character on the second season, McVicker played a trouble student named Robin Shandrell whom Neal Gamby (McBride) decides to take on as a pet project during the school semester. McVicker also starred in Amazon’s 2019 pilot based on the acclaimed UK show “People Just Do Nothing”; the pilot was directed by “The Bear” creator Christopher Storer and McVicker played a former pro skater in the episode.

In real life, we struggle to forget mistakes we have made and hope that our past misdeeds will never come back to haunt us. But the past can never be truly left behind, according to most movies I have seen. Written and directed by Nick Chakwin and David Guglielmo, Hospitality obeys that rule, though it does it so in a slowly-simmering manner that, befitting its title, is friendly, courteous and kind, at least until its true intentions are revealed. The story revolves around Donna (Emmanuelle Chriqui), the manager of a bed and breakfast operation in the middle of Nowhere, USA. The loving mother of Jimmy (Conner McVicker), a teenager with a cognitive deficit, Donna is a quiet-spoken, straightforward person, which makes her reluctant but willing...

The plan for Kandoo Releasing is to distribute an eclectic slate of indie films from emerging and diverse artists with day-and-date theatrical and VOD/digital releases.

Stars: Johnny Knoxville, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Chris Pontius, Dan Bakkedahl, Johnny Pemberton, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Eric Manaka, Joshua Hoover, Conner McVicker, Michael Everson, Matthew Peterson | Written by John Altschuler, Dave Krinsky | Directed by Tim Kirkby
The Johnny Knoxville starring Action Point attempts to once again recalibrate and weave the Jackass level of stunt filmmaking into a structured story narrative in the same vein as Knoxville’s moderately successful 2013 feature Bad Grandpa. The outcome is quite surprisingly successful while remaining ever so childish and formulated yet with a balanced tone of comedy and light-hearted drama.
D.C. is the crackpot owner of Action Point – a low-rent, out-of-control amusement park where the rides are designed with minimum safety for maximum fun. Just as his estranged daughter Boogie comes to visit, a corporate mega-park opens nearby and jeopardizes the future of Action Point. To save his beloved park and his relationship with Boogie, D.C.

Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming action-comedy, ‘Action Point’. The film centers around Johnny Knoxville‘s D.C., who owns a low-rent amusement park. After D.C.’s ammunsment park is threatened to go out of business by the opening of a spiffy new rival park, D.C. and his teenage daughter pull out all the stops to keep their park alive. There’s plenty of great moments in the trailer, but it really feels like a potentially great funny combination of ‘Jackass‘ and ‘Bad Grandpa‘.
The film will be directed by Tim Kirkby and produced by Knoxville, Bill Gerber and Derek Freda. It is based on a story by Knoxville, Freda, John Altschuler, Dave Kinsky and Mike Judge, with a screenplay by Altschuler and Kinsky. In addition to Knoxville, ‘Action Point‘ will star Chris Pontius, Dan Bakkedahl, Matt Schulze, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Johnny Pemberton, Brigette Lundy-Paine,...

Johnny Knoxville get s few of his Jackass pals back together again for a new comedy called Action Point. The film tells the story of a man who runs an extremely dangerous theme park to try and compete with a real theme park that opens nearby. This is an actual movie that tells a story, but... the stunts in the film are real and performed by the Jackass crew. What else would you expect from the guys of Jackass!?

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Vice Principals” Season 2, Episode 9, “The Union of the Wizard and the Warrior” — the series finale.]
Danny McBride’s return to HBO was always designed as a brief comeback. His follow-up to “Eastbound and Down” was shot all at once with longtime collaborators Jody Hill and David Gordon Green, meaning the Season 2 finale, which premiered Sunday night on HBO, has been sitting in the can for some time. Knowing this, it feels safe to assume the two-season series wasn’t trying to be a timely satirization of flaws within America’s school system or offer commentary on cultural insensitivities in small towns.
For the most part, it was neither. It was just pretty damn funny. And sometimes, including the finale, it was wildly, hilariously, hysterical.
After the incredible fallout last week, when McBride’s Neal Gamby accused Walton Goggins’ Lee of shooting him and the two destroyed the school in a knock-down, drag-out fight, it seemed hard to imagine how they’d come together — and how...
