No matter how well organised one is, parenting always requires the acceptance of a certain level of chaos. Watching her child getting restless in a crowded lift, hustling him through a supermarket full of tempting things, Elena (Julia Chaves) apologises for him almost on autopilot. She’s a working single mother with so much on her plate that she never has time to stop and think. This is perhaps why she hasn’t clicked that Tom (Israel Rodriguez) is nine now, and that his peers have long since grown out of their most reckless behaviour.
As is commonly the case, it’s at his school that the problem becomes obvious, and the trouble he gets into there leads to him being referred to a psychiatrist, who diagnoses him with Adhd. He is given the default treatment used in children, methylphenidate, and at first it...

Exclusive: Lionsgate+ has renewed Señorita 89 for a second season and has added Dolores Heredia (El Galán) and Yoshira Escárrega (Toda La Sangre) as series regulars. Production will kick off on October 17 in Mexico City.
Heredia will portray La Madrina, mother of the cartels, who sees power and influence in Jocelyn (Leidi Gutiérrez), and Yoshira Escárrega as Maribel Montaño, who is known as La Santa because the night they found her with her victim’s eyes in her hands, they say the dead man could still see.
In the first season of Señorita 89, Isabel (Natasha Dupeyrón) was crowned; Dolores died (Bárbara López); Elena (Ximena Romo) went into exile and Concepción’s (Ilse Salas) La Encantada empire fell apart.
When Season 2 premieres, the ‘90s are in full swing and the two main TV networks in Mexico find themselves in a war to impose the next queen. While Miss Yucatan (Dupeyrón) tries to...

From September 15th until October 30th, I’ll be watching at least one new to me horror film every day, and providing collections of capsule reviews week by week. On Halloween itself, as ever, I’m planning an all day marathon of some of my favourite horror films.
I hope you’ll find it interesting following as I dig further into a genre I’ve always loved, and maybe find some hidden gems along the way yourselves.
Week 1’s film can be found here
Week 2’s films are here.
The perils of Week 3 are just a click away.
Now… Prepare yourself for Horrorthon 4
The Collector (2009) Dir: Marcus Dunstan
Apparently, this was originally conceived as a prequel to Saw, but when the screenplay was rejected for that idea, it was re-jigged as a standalone, which has now received its own sequel, if not one that has birthed a franchise on the level of Saw.

Kirk and Spock, Riggs and Murtagh, Butch and Sundance, Thelma and Louise – those are all great big-screen movie duos, but do any of them beat Doc and Marty from Back to the Future? Michael J. Fox and his co-star Christopher Lloyd had impeccable chemistry and the pair still had that affectionate dynamic when reunited at New York Comic Con this weekend. Check it out:

According to SyFy Wire, the Back to the Future reunion panel kicked off with Lloyd reminiscing that the movie infamously shot for six weeks with Eric Stoltz playing Marty McFly. Eventually, director Robert Zemeckis (subject of a recent Wtf Happened to this Celebrity episode) and producer Steven Spielberg opted to have him replaced, and Lloyd remembered his reaction, which wasn’t exactly positive:
“I felt that I barely made it through the [first] six weeks,...

Billy Eichner‘s newest streetside sidekick is a lot like Elena, only a little more impatient — and a lot hairier.

Tonight on “Billy on the Street,” Billy Eichner ask sthe people of New York a question we’ve all had on our mind for ages: Do gay people care about John Oliver? Oliver, who hosts “Last Week Tonight” on HBO, is present for the segment, of course, though the results (or at least what we see of them) probably won’t inspire much confidence. Watch the scene below.

Eichner walks (and sometimes runs) up to several men on the street, posing the same question to all of them. They’re almost unanimous in their response: “Who’s John Oliver?” is a common answer, ditto “I have no idea who that is.” Asked about Wendy Williams, however, they’re united in admiration; Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) from “Empire” receives praise as well.

“Billy on the Street” is TV’s adrenaline shot. Whether the hijinks come from the show’s growing list of guest stars or the flabbergasted hoards of New Yorkers who become putty in the hands of a raving, microphone-wielding Billy Eichner, it’s a tried-and-true formula that’s birthed four full seasons of Manhattan-set surprises. The kinetic, chaotic game show hasn’t yielded any giant cash prizes or faraway vacations, but every episode turns a few random city folks into potential viral superstars.

Billy Eichner might not be as sporty as his latest guest star Terrell Owens, but he is feeling super about the duo's new Super Bowl commercial. Partnering with Butterfinger, Eichner and the former NFL wide receiver took to the streets of New York City to ask people to share their favorite touchdown victory dance. "There was a lot of love for him out there and he wasn't shy, which is key when you do what I do," Eichner tells People. "Towards the end of the video I ambushed someone while screaming 'I Watch For The Commercials!' " The video is...
