A little over a year ago, Lizzo had an epiphany at the office of her label, Atlantic Records. “I was looking at Aretha Franklin on the walls,” says the singer-rapper-flutist, 31, whose first major-label album, Cuz I Love You, is out now. “I [thought about] I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You. That’s what I want this to be — the album that defines my career. People are gonna be like, ‘That shit was just the beginning, and from then on it was forever lit, and she won every award.

The Weeknd is coming. Maren Morris, Sza, Ty Dolla Sign, the Lumineers and the National, too. They’re all contributing to “For the Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series ‘Game of Thrones’),” which has just been announced for April 26 release via Columbia Records.
The eclectic lineup of artists assembled for this “inspired by” collection also includes Mumford & Sons, Travis Scott, Lil Peep, Chloe x Halle, Elle Goulding, James Arthur, X Ambassadors, Lennon Stella, Jacob Banks and Rosalia. A rare solo number by Matthew Bellamy, without his mates in Muse, is also slated for the set.
Song titles are as much under wraps as spoilers for the final season are, at this point, although the album is already up for pre-order at digital retailers with generic track numbers attached.

To win the million-dollar grand prize on “World of Dance” you can’t just excel in your field. You have to bring new and innovative dimensions to well-known styles of dance in order to stand out against the best of the best from around the globe. And now, the end is near. Ahead of next week’s crowning of Chloe Kohanski as the winner Season 13 finals, The Voice cut four contestants on Tuesday. Based on Monday’s Top 8 performances, I’d have dropped Adam Cunningham, Keisha Renee, Davon Fleming and Chloe Kohanski — I know, I know. That’s sacrilege! (And yes, in hindsight, I was giving out A’s like they were certificates of participation; blame the Christmas spirit?) In an immediately classic opening montage, Elliot embraces his new job at Evil Corp, doing his best to blend into the corporate scene… while still using his hacker superpowers to try to prevent Stage 2 and along the way dish out his own brand of justice against the corruption within the company. But being normal isn’t easy for anyone, especially as he becomes aware that Mr. Robot isn’t gone — he’s just losing control of the moments when that aspect of himself arises.
Whiterose continues to lurk in the shadows, planning for Stage 2 — which will now coincide with a United Nations vote on annexing the Congo, though Phillip Price has his own political conditions. Meanwhile, Joanna Wellick’s plan to clear Tyrell’s name seems to work. Too bad that immediately afterward, her now-former lover Derek confronts her and her driver on the street, and she dies...

We live in a world of movie trailer mystery boxes. Current film previews can show off character, tone, a cool nostalgic soundtrack. But not what the movie is actually about. If you want to know the plot of your favorite summer blockbusters, you’re just gonna have to wait until opening weekend. A strange but effective marketing tool, based on box office returns. Which is how I went months without realizing Katana’s (Karen Fukuhara) role in Suicide Squad is not as an inmate-turned-government-mercenary. We still don’t know the how and why of how Katana joins the Squad. But when I was watching the music video of ‘Sucker for Pain’ by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons w/ Logic & Ty Dolla $ign ft X Ambassadors from the Suicide Squad soundtrack, I never expected to see her in Arkham. Somehow the music video for Suicide Squad has a more diverse cast than the film. "Sucker For Pain" features Lil Wayne, Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, and X Ambassadors. The whole ensemble are wrapped into a music video that ties into the film and features some previously unseen footage! I'm a big fan of this song, and I could definitely see it getting some radio play. The music video is pretty awesome as well.

Filmmaker David Ayer has used Twitter to confirm that post-production work on the "Suicide Squad" film is now complete with the final sound mix and coloring now in place. He just tweeted a few hours ago:
"Squad is completed! Finished final mix and coloring. Now it;s off to the lab and then the world. Nothing like it out there. It.Is.a.Beast."
Ayer took the time to shoot down a rumor that the DC Comics adaptation's runtime clocked in at just 100 minutes, saying it's categorically "not true" but not indicating what the actual runtime is.
Ayer also confirmed the existence within the film of A.R.G.U.S. (Advanced Research Group Uniting Super-Humans), a creation of DC's The New 52 reboot five years ago, along with plans for N.H.E.J.C.O. (Non-Human Entity Joint Combat Operations). Either way it sounds like A.R.G.U.

New Suicide Squad Footage Revealed In Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, And Imagine Dragons' "Sucker For Pain"
The music video for "Sucker for Pain" (with Logic &Ty Dolla $ign feat. X Ambassadors) by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, and Imagine Dragons. It's a pretty cool song, and at least some of it appears to have been shot on Suicide Squad's Arkham Asylum set. There are also some very new snippets of footage in there. Next up is "Purple Lamborghini" by Skrillex and Rick Ross, and that's set to be unveiled on July 1st. Why exactly should you care? Well, that's the video which Jared Leto suited back up as The Joker for, so it's going to be a lot of fun to see what he did back in costume as the dastardly Clown Prince of Crime... It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and...

Today Warner Bros. released the track list for the upcoming anti-hero film Suicide Squad. The fourteen songs are by some of today’s most recognized talent and a smattering of new voices. Most of the song titles are vague and/or appropriate for the entirety of Suicide Squad’s run time, but let’s peek anyway. Any clue in a hype drought! #1. N.W.A haven't been active since the early ’90s, but the overwhelming success of their biopic has renewed interest in the rap collective's music: For the first time in the group's nearly 30-year history, N.W.A has a Top 40 hit. "Straight Outta Compton," from the group's seminal 1988 debut album of the same name, has now charted on Billboard's Hot 100 ranking for the first time, 27 years after the song's original release. It's currently sitting at No. 38, right between Luke Bryan and X Ambassadors, hilariously enough. Incidentally, their album Straight Outta Compton was the No. 4 best-selling album of the week — right behind Dr. Dre's Compton — making it the highest that album has ever charted. Over on iTunes, "Straight Outta Compton," Eazy-e's "Boyz-n-the-Hood," and Ice Cube's N.W.A diss track "No Vaseline" have each made it to the Top 100 songs, while the remastered version of Straight Outta Compton...
