“John Wick: Chapter 4” breakout star Shamier Anderson is producing a live-action and animation hybrid series centered on Christopher Robin and his drug-induced epiphanies with woodland creatures. Currently titled “Christopher Robin,” the series is produced by Anderson and his brother Stephan James’ Bay Mills Studios, as well as Boat Rocker Studios. Bay Mills is currently under a first-look deal at Boat Rocker.

Just when you thought Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey was going to be the only for-adults-only adaptation of the classic children’s story this year, Variety reports today on an entirely different project in the works from Boat Rocker Studios and Bay Mills Studios.

Exclusive: Amazon Studios has won a competitive auction for the buddy comedy pitch package Foreign Relations. Kat Coiro is directing a star vehicle for Nick Jonas and Glen Powell, who played one of the hotshot pilots in Top Gun: Maverick. Charlie Kesslering (Turned On) will write the script, and Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman’s Brownstone are producing, as is Brownstone’s Alison Small, Jonas and Powell. Deadline recently revealed it as a hot project.

Seventy-three unproduced screenplays comprise this year’s Black List, an annual ranking of well-regarded scripts that have yet to make the leap from page to screen. More than 250 executives in the film industry voted on this year’s edition, and their consensus is that Elyse Hollander’s Madonna biopic “Blond Ambition” is the “most liked” of them.

Twentieth Century Fox has picked up Turned On, a comedy spec that Paul Feig will produce. The script is by Charlie Kesslering, an up-and-coming writer who embodies the Hollywood screenwriting dream, paying his dues as an assistant while pursuing his passion.
