Tony Bellino was born into an entertainment family in Brisbane, Australia, to an Italian father, and an English & German heritage mother. Growing up his loves were football (soccer) singing & playing drums.
In high school, he developed his acting skills by performing in several musicals, and was the lead in his final senior year, graduating with a pass in theatre. That same year, he was a part of the all-conquering Queensland football team, winning the converted National Youth Title, earning a trial in Europe with prestigious Italian Serie B side, FC Perugia, where he learned fluent Italian in just three months!
After retiring from semi-professional football, Tony dove back into acting, appearing in several short films, one of which, Ego Isle, he also produced. Inspired by the challenges of producing, and after a brush with destiny during the London bombings of 2005, Tony began to write feature film scripts, that lead to him to getting his Diploma in Screen & Media, majoring in film production, from Qpix in 2011.
Tony's student short film 'Pappa's Problemo' was world premiered @ the2012 Byron Bay International film festival. In 2013 he turned his feature film script 'Internet Dating Four Dummies' into a novel, while his documentary research on Queensland Museum's WWI artifact 'Mephisto' was accredited in their 2018 publication.
Since joining Howell Management, Tony has appeared as in extra in numerous major productions including Troppo, Joe Vs Carol, Young Rock and True Spirit. He also gigs in public & private as a guitar-playing soloist, and loves to recall a great joke or two!
